One Piece: Starting in God Valley as a Slave

Chapter 170: Chapter 170

Carl's current strength was enough to face Whitebeard, but taking him down was still a challenge.

Seeing that the situation on Ginny's side was growing increasingly dire, Carl glanced at his scarlet right arm, a determined glint in his eyes.

Whitebeard swung his Murakumogiri, continuously clashing against the demon sword Muramasa in Carl's hand. The area where they fought was shrouded in an invisible force field, filled with Haki lightning, creating a scene like a battlefield of the damned.

Carl knew that continuing this direct confrontation with Whitebeard wouldn't work. He needed to free himself as soon as possible to aid Ginny and the others.

With that thought, Carl unleashed all his power, forcing Whitebeard back with a surge of Haki-infused sword energy. Then, he slowly raised his scarlet right arm, where faint black lines began to appear.

Upon closer inspection, these lines matched the patterns found on the Paw-Paw Fruit.

As the demon markings surfaced, Carl's arm seemed to pulse with a blood-like glow, and the two scars on his face burned scarlet in unison.

An intensely malevolent aura erupted from Carl, and the entire battlefield was instantly enveloped in a blood-red mist, causing everyone present to feel a chill deep in their hearts.

Whitebeard steadied himself, but at that moment, Carl's presence sent shivers down his spine.

Roger and Zephyr, who were in the midst of their own battle, couldn't help but pause. Roger, staring in Carl's direction in shock, muttered,

"What did he do?! No! Newgate's in trouble!"

Carl had unleashed the power sealed within his right arm by Stussi. He was gritting his teeth against the searing pain that wracked his body, as if he were about to shatter apart.

The flames behind his neck blazed fiercely, and Muramasa flew to his side, aiding in subduing the surging energy. Without the combined resilience of his Lunarian heritage and the demon sword Muramasa, Carl would have exploded from the sheer force of the power he had called upon.

He could use this power for just one strike, a strike with power surpassing even the Admiral level.

With his right fist clenched, Carl's figure blurred and reappeared in front of Whitebeard. Whitebeard immediately reacted, swinging his fist to meet Carl's blow.

The moment their fists collided, Whitebeard's arm began to tremble violently, the sickening sound of bones fracturing filling the air. His arm hung limp, as though it were merely a rag.

After landing that devastating blow, Carl quickly sealed the power back into his right arm, but his assault did not cease. He pressed his glowing red hand against Whitebeard's face, and a dark vortex began to swirl viciously.

Whitebeard let out a pained growl as the skin on the right side of his face shriveled and twisted grotesquely. His expression was twisted in agony as he forcibly shoved Carl away, retreating several steps while holding his bloodied face.

He dropped to one knee, blood streaming through his fingers. It was the first time Whitebeard had sustained such a grave injury since leaving the Rocks Pirates.

Marco, the battlefield medic, flew to his side with a burst of Phoenix Flame, desperately trying to heal Whitebeard.

"You can't keep fighting, Dad! If you push yourself further, you'll lose your arm permanently!" Marco warned urgently.

Whitebeard's body went rigid at Marco's words, and he looked down to see his ally sweating profusely, pouring all his efforts into the healing flames.

"Damn it! The healing's too slow! What kind of power is this?" Whitebeard muttered through gritted teeth, reluctantly calming himself.

Nearby, Carl was still catching his breath after the intense exertion. His right arm throbbed with pain, his breathing slightly irregular, but he was in far better condition than Whitebeard.

With a glance at Whitebeard, Carl turned and flew toward Ginny's position.

While Marco was preoccupied with Whitebeard, Lucia found herself unable to break away to support Ginny due to her confrontation with Gaban, Roger's formidable left-hand man. Despite the difficulty, Lucia was holding her ground as one of the strongest, second only to Tsuru.

The situation with Ginny and Gion was the most urgent.

Ginny had already taken out one of the division commanders, drawing the pirates' rage and intensifying their assault. Izou, wielding twin pistols, unleashed a relentless barrage toward Ginny, who had to fend off attacks from multiple angles while evading the bullets.

(T/N: Izou was the former 16th division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates)

Despite her keen observation Haki, Ginny couldn't escape unscathed. Her thigh was slashed by Izou's attack, slowing her down significantly.

Seeing an opening, Izou lunged at Ginny, aiming to deliver a fatal blow. But suddenly, a large black hand gripped his head from behind.

A moment later, Izou's body went limp as his head was ripped from his shoulders, Carl's expression cold and unyielding.

With a flick of his wrist, Carl hurled Izou's head like a cannonball, striking directly in the chest. Fossa, the future commander of the 15th Division, collapsed in disbelief as blood poured from the gaping wound in his abdomen.

The sheer brutality of Carl's actions left the pirates in shock, and even the seasoned Navy officers went pale at the sight.

Carl's rampage didn't end there. After rescuing Ginny, he appeared before Gion, who was barely holding off Vista's relentless onslaught. Injured and exhausted, Gion's eyes widened in relief when Carl intervened.

In a flash, Vista launched his signature attack,

"Roses are dancing wildly!" But Carl, holding Gion close, summoned Muramasa to his side with a flick of his wrist.

Despite the strain on his still-recovering right arm, Carl's blade danced through Vista's attack, slicing through effortlessly.

As the rose petals settled, Vista's severed body hit the ground in two pieces.

In that brief moment, Carl had taken down three of Whitebeard's strongest commanders. Whitebeard's roar of anguish echoed across the battlefield as he tried to charge at Carl, only for Roger to appear at his side, holding him back.

"Newgate, focus on your recovery. I'll handle Carl," Roger said in a grave tone, his eyes locked on the formidable opponent before him.
