Chapter 73: Chapter 73: The Seven Warlords Summoning Order, Heading to Marine Headquarters
On the island of Baltigo in the Grand Line, Dracule Mihawk stood alone at the railing, feeling the sea breeze, gazing toward the East Blue.
The Natsu´s plan had gone exactly as planned, but now the only thing he worried about was that boy, Luffy, who kept shouting about becoming the Pirate King.
"Commander, we've received a letter!"
A soldier from the Revolutionary Army called out from behind, pulling Mihawk's thoughts back to the present. He slowly turned his head to look at the envelope in front of him.
Rip!
He tore it open, and the familiar coded writing on the paper made Mihawk smile.
"This kid, still knows how to write a letter. I thought he'd forgotten about his father by now."
The handwriting and the coded message were immediately recognizable—it was from Natsu.
"Cough cough, a 'smiling idealist'?! Three countries? War?! Methods of manipulation?"
As he read, Mihawk couldn't help but chuckle. Natsu, ever the opportunist, was stirring up war profits and leaving his old man to clean up the mess, all while masking it with the noble cause of bringing freedom and peace to the war-torn nations. It was just the kind of thing Natsu would do.
"Ah-choo~ Who's thinking about me?" Natsu murmured as he rubbed his nose and looked at the sky, a smug expression on his face.
Sky: "Who knows, but it's definitely not me!"
"Captain, we received a message from the Navy. Five days from now, there's a Seven Warlords meeting at Marineford. Should we go?" Gin walked up swiftly, relaying the contents of the summons.
"Go, why not? It's a rare opportunity to waltz right into Marine Headquarters. Why waste it?" Natsu grinned, his curiosity piqued as he read the summons. It was the perfect chance to familiarize himself with the Navy's headquarters.
"I'm sure the old man will be thrilled to have me visit him!" Natsu muttered to himself, resting his chin in his hands, pondering what kind of gift to bring—sweet donuts of all kinds? Or a collection of dog-patterned hats with various designs?
"Sigh, having such a strange grandfather is such a hassle, but in that case, I'll get everything! It's not like I'm short on cash."
A day later, after finishing his business at Smile Island, Natsu set out for Marineford, accompanied by Noriyuki and Eirin.
Splash!
The sound of ocean waves filled the air as Noriyuki skillfully reeled in a massive sea fish. The fish struggled, thrashing violently, clearly not eager to meet its end.
Bang!
At just the right moment, Eirin pulled the trigger, and a bullet shot through the fish's head with a loud crack, rendering the creature motionless, its belly slowly rolling as it floated to the surface.
"Nice work! Looks like we're having grilled fish today!" Natsu praised, impressed by their teamwork. If it had been up to him to catch the fish, he would probably have starved without even catching a single one.
Meanwhile, on the dark, silent island of Kuraika, the world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, was savoring a glass of red wine in his massive castle. He had just hung up the phone call from the Navy, his face expressionless as he received the summons. Mihawk had no interest in attending the Seven Warlords meeting.
He slowly stood up and strapped his legendary black sword, "Yoru," to his back, a blade said to be the strongest in the world. He walked out of the castle, heading toward the shore to meet someone.
Heh heh!
The gates of the castle opened, and Mihawk walked steadily toward the sea, surrounded by a group of gorillas. Their crimson eyes glinted as they watched him, but none dared to step forward.
"Hey, gorillas, don't let any other creatures into my castle. If I come back and find any messes..."
Mihawk didn't finish his sentence. He cast a sharp, piercing gaze at the gorilla king, a single look that made the beast freeze in place. It immediately nodded and held its imitation sword, as if acknowledging Mihawk's unspoken warning.
Since Mihawk had arrived on the island, the gorillas had once tried to kill him, but failed miserably. However, their constant skirmishes with Mihawk had rapidly improved their swordsmanship, making them formidable opponents for ordinary pirates. Even pirates who had wandered onto the island before had perished.
On Amazon Lily, the Daughter Island, Hancock, the Pirate Empress and the most beautiful woman in the world, was soaking in a bath filled with rose petals. Her long black hair floated on the surface, forming an alluring net.
"Sister, the Navy has sent word about the vacant seats in the Seven Warlords and the recent stir caused by the legendary pirate, Shiki the Golden Lion!" Boa Sandersonia spoke softly from outside the bathroom.
"Refuse it. I'm not going."
A cold, commanding voice replied from within the misty bath.
Hancock, now emerging from the water, wore only a thin robe, water dripping down her pale skin as she dressed. Her eyes, deep blue and captivating, had a cold yet seductive edge to them. Her appearance was enough to turn any man, including Sanji, into stone.
Meanwhile, in the kingdom of Dressrosa, the notorious troublemaker, Donquixote Doflamingo, was eagerly awaiting news from the Navy. Upon receiving the summons, he stood up, a wide grin spreading across his face. He threw open the window, sending transparent strings into the clouds above, disappearing into the castle.
"The legendary pirate is about to make his reappearance. What kind of storm will it cause?" Doflamingo chuckled to himself. "Let's watch it all unravel!"
For the six Seven Warlords, each had their own reasons for either attending or ignoring the summons. After all, the Seven Warlords meetings were never very orderly, and the Navy had long since gotten used to it.
Meanwhile, a Navy warship was approaching the Smile ship, stationed a few dozen nautical miles from Marineford. Once the crew recognized who was on board, they relayed the proper instructions. Natsu and his crew were told to dock their ship at a designated spot on the coast.
Noriyuki and Eirin stayed behind as Natsu alone boarded a Navy warship, carrying a bag of donuts and tea. As they sailed toward Marineford, Natsu shook his head at the towering Marine headquarters in the distance.
"Too bad, maybe in a few years it'll be destroyed," Natsu muttered.
Navy officer: "??"
After some delays, Natsu and his crew entered the meeting room, only to find no one there.
"Wait, I'm the first one here?! Well, that was unexpected, but not surprising!" Natsu casually sat in a seat, taking out his tea and enjoying it as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening.
"Hahahaha! I've broken the donut record again! I really am a genius!"
A familiar voice echoed from outside the room. Natsu quickly rushed to the door and pulled it open to find an old man stuffing his face with donuts.
"Cough cough! Natsu?"
