Chapter 200: 200: Glimpse of Fate on Dressrosa Coast.
Time passed swiftly—September had arrived. In Wano, peace reigned. Vane felt the calm keenly as days stretched by with nothing to do. He remained in the countryside near Kalifa and the others, growing a bit bored in the familiar surroundings.
During this quiet period, Vane trained in Wano's special Armament Haki technique, known locally as Ryūō. Essentially, it was a form of Armament Haki release. Vane mastered it; so did Kalifa, Gion, and even Hiyori.
Today, Vane decided to leave Wano for a few days.
Somewhere in the New World Sea, he rode atop a massive Sea King, its body mostly submerged as it sped forward under his direction. The creature, startled by Vane's presence, served as his impromptu transport.
"Where to go?" Vane pondered softly.
"Dressrosa," he finally decided, recalling it needed better trade links—fashion, jewelry, cosmetics—for Wano. Cultural influence often transmitted subtly through commerce. It wasn't forced indoctrination, but gentle transformation.
A day later they reached Dressrosa's coast. The Sea King slowed; Vane disembarked calmly.
He didn't notice yet a blind man facing toward him, walking slowly but steadily. The man wore Wano-style clothes and wooden sandals, moving with a cane. Scars marred his face, yet something kind emanated from his presence.
Vane felt the aura and turned.
"Fujitora san?" Vane asked, eyes narrowing in surprise.
The blind man paused, cane tapping. "I am not Fujitora. That is not my name."
Vane smiled. "But people call you 'Fujitora,' meaning 'Smiling Tiger.' I see why. You may become a marine admiral one day."
Fujitora—Issho—looked confused. Vane's recognition of him didn't match his current rank. Issho was known as "Fujitora," a Marine Admiral with the gravity-controlling Zushi Zushi no Mi, powerful enough to summon meteorites and reshape battlefield gravity .
"Admiral?" Issho echoed, puzzled. "But I am not yet the Navy."
Vane's tone turned thoughtful. "I can sense the future. I see you becoming Admiral—standing for justice with clarity unmatched."
Issho frowned. "Justice... I aim to protect civilians, avoid the sight of evil. That is why I blinded myself long ago."
Vane nodded respectfully. "Your justice is pure—not bound by government interest but guided by true good."
Issho's cane tapped quietly. "You're unusual. How do you know so much?"
"You will understand soon," Vane replied gently and began walking toward Dressrosa's town.
Issho watched. "One day, if I hold Admiral rank, perhaps I can bring even tiny change to this world."
With that quiet formal goodbye, Vane turned and departed, leaving Issho standing on the coast under the New World sky.
