Later on, they filled up the prison and couldn't manage all the prisoners. In the end, the Whitebeard Pirates took over the guard duty.

"Is Grandpa Whitebeard still fighting with Kaido? Why did you all come back? Aren't you going to help him? I heard that Big Mom is still alive," 

Momonosuke asked at the banquet in the Shogun's Palace. He had prepared it for Marco and the others, knowing they had been through a long battle and needed to eat. 

Luffy and the rest also attended, and Momonosuke brought up the topic of Whitebeard's situation during the feast.
