One Piece: I Awakened King Ghidorah At the Start

Chapter 043: President, Something's Rising

Mary Geoise, Holy Land — Pangaea Castle.

Ever since returning from the Flower Capital, the Five Elders wore expressions as dark as storm clouds.

---

"I never expected that someone had prepared in advance,"

After a long silence, the blond Elder finally broke the tension.

"It's unsettling news… the Gigant Titan Corps are still alive."

---

The bald Elder's glasses reflected a sharp gleam as he spoke gravely.

"Haven't any of you noticed an even bigger problem?"

---

The goat-bearded Elder's eyes clouded with concern.

"If the Titan Corps are still alive… then what about those ancient figures buried beneath the Royal Tombs?"

---

He was right. If the members of that ancient Twenty Kingdoms Alliance all revived… none of the five of us would matter anymore.

Humans are selfish—even when we think we're high and mighty.

We've grown used to our authority.

Carrying Imu-sama's shadow over our heads is already painful.

Now, if the Ancient Kings were also alive… our golden days would be over.

---

The bald Elder's eyes darkened with resistance.

He picked up a Den Den Mushi and dialed.

---

Click.

A voice responded immediately.

---

"Have you reached Marineford?"

"Yes, Elder. We've arrived. That person has engaged the monster."

"What's the battle situation?"

"Sir, the energy is too intense. Our ships can't close in. The island is engulfed in smoke—we can't see clearly."

"But hearing the clash, it seems they're fairly matched."

"Continue monitoring. Report updates immediately!"

"Understood, Elder."

BOOM!

A massive roar shook Marineford.

Beneath a veil of smoke and flame, a gigantic foot stepped forward—followed by an enormous towering figure.

As it emerged from the haze, a three-headed titan surged anew through the ruins.

---

The giant retreated, its veins writhing like dragons, before brandishing a huge axe, and bellowed:

"Die!"

---

The *axe, black and crackling with purple lightning, sliced through the air—aimed directly at Ghidorah.

But right head spun with lightning speed and gnawed clean through the axe-hand.

Blood gushed forth.

The weapon clattered to the ground, leaving only a pale scratch.

---

"A useless attack!"

"Not only did it not kill me—it cost you your life!"

Ghidorah snarled at the giant, his teeth anchored into the wound.

He tugged—tearing flesh—and the giant crashed to the earth, limp.

Blood pooled, staining the parched ground.

---

Such a wound would incapacitate any normal man.

But this giant… barely flinched. His face remained deadpan.

---

"Pathetic."

Ghidorah looked on at this former member of the D clan, feeling a hint of pity.

"Cha-cha-cha-cha…"

"Still as ruthless as I remember!"

The giant examined his arm—found it unhurt—and chuckled mechanically.

He swung the axe once more, purple lightning surging, and charged Ghidorah.

---

Too close now for energy blasts—the fight became raw primal combat.

The giant stood ~100 meters tall.

Ghidorah, nearly double that height.

Despite their size difference, each landing blow erupted with earth-shaking force, shards of land exploding outward.

---

BOOM!

Ghidorah's mighty tail crashed into the ground, cracking the earth in a massive fissure.

The giant stood unwavering—undaunted.

Their clash was savage—beast vs. titan—both unleashing primal fury.

---

Dark clouds scattered—sunlight pierced through, illuminating the battlefield.

Rubble, dust, ice—fragments shattered on impact.

---

ROARRR!!

A mushroom-shaped shockwave surged, thunderous and awe-inspiring.

The island trembled—on the verge of breakup… collapse.

At its epicenter lay the giant—nearly 100 meters tall—prone.

---

"Koff… koff… koff…"

"Cha… cha… still that hopelessly strong…"

The giant coughed blood, but his face remained impassive.

He rose again—unyielding like a cockroach that never dies.

---

Ghidorah spread his wings and descended on him, crashing both feet down like mountain avalanches.

---

Well-versed in his opponent's style, the giant twisted and swung his axe with brutal force.

---

CRASH!

The black axe, forged from unknown metal, smashed into Ghidorah's lower limb.

Ghidorah stumbled, crashing down amid swirling dust.

---

THUNDEROUS ROCK!

The giant rolled clear, then—with reckless determination, he vaulted back into the fray.

---

"Ghidorah—300 years ago, you shamed me."

"Today, I make you pay."

---

"Supreme Slash!"

He roared, axe alight with purple lightning, striking toward one of Ghidorah's snarling heads.

---

"You've got guts, Saki."

The beast's voice rumbled from the dust.

"Even the Titan Corps failed to take me down—what makes you think you can?"

---

With disdain etched across his voice, Ghidorah's right head burst through the smoke, lunged behind, and bit down on the giant's calf.

Then—with a mighty shake of its neck—swung the hundred-meter man into the ground.

The quake stunned the island—dust blotted out the sun.

Ghidorah rose, roaring triumphantly with all three heads to the sky.

---

"A worthless man in life…

turned into a puppet in death…

You dream of washing away your shame?"

"Foolish delusion. You and your kind are mere trash."

With an aquiline nudge, his other two heads coiled around Saki's arms.

His massive wings flapped—lifting the giant upward, dragging his unwilling form skyward.

---

Meanwhile, high above the island...

---

A massive bird soared at kilometer-high altitude, carrying three figures on its back.

One was a young man, addressing the white-feathered beast:

"President—The entire island is shrouded in dust."

"We can't see a thing!"

These were Morgans, president of the World Economic Daily, accompanied by two assistants.

They lifted off near Marineford, under special clearance granted for aerial coverage.

---

But as they approached, they discovered Marineford—to quote Morgans—"blanketed in an apocalyptic haze."

---

What are we supposed to film?!

Giants battling, smoke so thick nothing is visible from ground or sky.

---

BOOM!

---

"Aaaah!! (#`O′)~~"

---

"P-President… something's approaching!!"

---

"It's huge!"

Morgans stifled his scream as he stared at the approaching behemoth.
