One Piece: I Awakened King Ghidorah At the Start

Chapter 013: I Have a Devil Fruit — Do You Want It?

Roar! Roar!

Rumble…

Magellan, now in his berserk "poison giant" form, had lost all semblance of rationality.

His normally disciplined personality could not allow any chaos within Impel Down during his tenure.

Yet suddenly, just as he prepared to strike again, the entire prison shook violently.

A massive roar thundered from the lower levels, shaking the undersea fortress to its core.

The ocean above surged into wild waves. The skies darkened, as if a natural disaster loomed.

"No good!"

Startled, Magellan briefly snapped out of his frenzy and stared in horror toward the depths of Impel Down.

If the Straw Hats' breakout was negligence, then this monster awakening—he would have to commit seppuku.

He immediately abandoned pursuing Luffy and sprinted toward Level 6 with all his might.

---

As Magellan spun away, a breezy voice echoed:

"Oh ho, what lively folks you are!"

A golden beam of light condensed into humanoid form, standing before the Straw Hats.

"What…!?"

"Admiral Kizaru!?"

Ivankov and Jinbe widened their eyes in disbelief.

But why was the Marine Admiral—supposed to be on Marineford preparing for war—here in Impel Down?

Kizaru merely tilted his head and said casually:

"Well—

I have no idea why Magellan let you go…

but something bad's definitely happening."

With that, he instantly transformed back into light and beamed deeper into Impel Down.

The greater danger clearly lay beneath — not with Kizaru's orders alone, but with Garp's grandson involved as well...

This was alarming.

---

Caught between warfront and prison, the crew was stunned as Kizaru vanished.

Still, relieved, they cheered, then sprinted toward the gate at the port.

---

Moments later, Kizaru caught up with Magellan at the elevator entrance.

Startled, Magellan exclaimed:

"A-Admiral Kizaru! You—why are you here?"

Kizaru replied matter-of-factly:

"Marine HQ detected abnormalities in Impel Down.

Fleet Admiral Sengoku ordered me to investigate.

And… well, it seems something bad is definitely happening."

Magellan swallowed hard.

He realized the alarm couldn't be hidden anymore. He truly might have to commit seppuku.

---

CLANG!

The elevator doors opened.

Magellan stepped inside, determined.

"Time's critical. I can't explain.

Please—come with me to suppress it."

Even with Kizaru beside him, Magellan knew how dangerous the situation was. But as long as he held the title of Warden, he would finish the job—even at the cost of his life.

Kizaru, curious, followed in.

"Hmm… whatever could be down there to shake all of this?"

Magellan tensed, recalling confidential documents from when he first took the position.

"It's… a very powerful monster.

I suspect the ice coffin failed, and that's why this is happening."

Kizaru blinked, thoughtful.

He'd never actually been to Level 6. Only the Warden and the Fleet Admiral knew about what lay below…

Something very suspicious was at play.

---

The moment the elevator door opened on Level 6, a blast of icy wind rushed out.

Kizaru gasped as the massive three-headed dragon prison was exposed.

One of its heads glowed with a golden light—preparing a strike.

He thought to himself, "What the hell is this? Impel Down locking up Sea Beasts now?"

---

Suddenly—

A booming roar from beside the giant heads:

"Blackbeard! Our deal's over!"

A figure in a prison uniform surged forward with black-wrapped fists, striking the glowing head.

As the golden beam erupted from the strike, it cleaved the stone floor, carving a massive trench.

Kizaru's eyes widened at the streak of light.

"What incredible power!"

---

Meanwhile, Magellan watched, horrified.

"Blackbeard…"

"Kizaru…"

Blackbeard—drenched in blood and radiating menace—had struck Ghidorah's head.

Grossly bloody yet triumphant, Blackbeard laughed:

"Bullet, this stroke saved everything!"

He stepped back with his crew, ready to spectate.

---

Suddenly, a deep, ominous voice echoed at the entrance.

"Ghidorah!"

"Magellan!"

Blackbeard turned to see Magellan standing at the threshold, blood on his lips.

He brooded:

"Are you planning to attack too?

I think we should work together to take this thing down first."

Magellan looked grim, staring at the three-headed beast.

The very worry he feared… had come true during his watch.

"This is unforgivable!"

---

KRRRASH!

Ghidorah's right head—nicknamed Jiro—slammed into the stone, cracking the floor.

The left head—Kevin—cautioned:

"Hey, Jiro—don't be impulsive!

Let me launch another attack!"

The center head—the dominant mind—grunted in disgust with the two.

Ghidorah realized his massive body was barely lodged; shaking apart the floor might collapse the prison entirely.

He couldn't act recklessly…

But he needed help.

---

He turned his massive gaze toward Blackbeard.

In a deep, rumbling voice:

"Blackbeard…"

"If you help me smash through the floor—"

"I'll give you a Devil Fruit."

For all his pride, Ghidorah admitted: he didn't need random secondary power-ups. But Blackbeard's fruit, powerful as it was, was nothing compared to Ghidorah's own power.

"…any fruit you have would be useless compared to me, but I can offer it anyway."
