One Piece: I Awakened King Ghidorah At the Start

Chapter 005: A Monster Capable of Destroying the World

"Garp…

That thing—

It's a monster capable of destroying the entire world."

Fleet Admiral Sengoku's voice was heavy as he continued:

"Long before the World Government was founded, that beast ravaged the seas, plunging the world into chaos."

"Eventually, the first generation of the World Government's founders managed to subdue it by joining forces. But due to its unique physiology… it was impossible to kill."

"With no other choice, they poured all their strength into sealing it beneath the sea. And to ensure it never escaped, they built Impel Down around its heads — the prison's foundation is literally made from the remains of that creature."

"As for its name… the only thing left in the ancient records is a single word:

'Ghidorah.'"

Inside the office, Sengoku's voice echoed off the walls as he revealed the terrifying truth behind the three monstrous heads sealed in Level Six.

"This information is top-secret. Never speak of it to anyone.

Even now, there are still people in the world seeking the location of that devil."

Garp stood silently, his face unreadable.

He wasn't shaken because of the story's content — but because of the betrayal it represented.

The man who had been his friend for most of his life… had hidden this from him.

Just like those damn parasites in the World Government.

A demon that plunged the world into chaos...

What a fittingly ironic label…

Garp had known the truth — or at least part of it — for twenty years, ever since Gol D. Roger had confided in him.

Now, hearing it confirmed from Sengoku's own lips… the last embers of his faith in the World Government flickered and died.

"Hahahaha… A demon that can destroy the world?"

"As if something like that could really exist…"

Garp burst into a strange, bitter laugh and stood up to leave the office.

"Garp!"

Sengoku snapped, voice sharp.

"Watch what you say!"

Though Garp acted his usual nonchalant self, Sengoku couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed.

There was a growing distance between them — an invisible wall formed by truths too long concealed.

Garp… don't do anything reckless…

As Garp left, Sengoku's worry deepened.

If that creature in Level Six truly awakened… the world would never be the same.

Even if it was the World Government that was at fault back then…

---

Outside, standing at the harbor and gazing over the assembled Marines and warships, Garp's expression was grim.

He wasn't sure if what he did in Impel Down had been right or wrong.

But right or wrong… it was already done.

There was no turning back.

His only concern now was Luffy.

He had never imagined the kid would do something as reckless as breaking into Impel Down.

---

Meanwhile, back inside Impel Down, deep within Eternal Hell...

Click. Clack. Click. Clack.

The rhythmic sound of high heels echoed through Level Six.

Lately, there had been an unusual number of visitors to this floor — and just recently, yet another Warlord had been imprisoned.

"Ooooh, where'd this beauty come from?!"

"Hey babe, why don't you come keep me company?"

"Yo! Hancock-chan, look over here!"

"Sexy as hell…"

"Tch…"

"Shut it, all of you disgusting pigs!"

Hannyabal roared, trying to silence the prisoners' lewd howls.

But his outburst was ignored — whistles and vulgar catcalls continued unabated.

These criminals had been locked away for so long, most hadn't seen a woman in years — some, ever.

Boa Hancock frowned in clear disgust. If not for Luffy, she would never have set foot in this filthy, wretched place.

---

"What are you doing here?"

Inside his cell, Ace stared at the unexpected visitor, visibly unsettled.

He couldn't fathom why the Empress of the Seas — someone he had no ties with — would come all the way here just to see him.

"Nothing really. I just wanted to see the man who became the spark for this war."

Boa Hancock's voice was calm. She looked at Ace — her so-called brother-in-law — with quiet resolve.

"What a joke," Ace said bitterly.

Meanwhile, Jinbei, who had just been locked up, stared in shock.

He couldn't understand why the Empress, who had always ignored government orders, would choose now to help them.

"You're Boa Hancock?"

"What, are you clinging to your Warlord title now?"

"You're Jinbei, right?"

Hancock turned to him, her tone cold.

"Don't push me."

---

"Come on, sweetheart…

We'll treat you real nice."

Whistles, vulgarities, laughter…

The barrage of filth didn't stop.

Finally, Magellan, who had been standing silently nearby, lost his patience.

"Can't you bastards shut up for even a minute? We're in the middle of a meeting!"

"Oh shut up, Magellan! What're you gonna do, give us diarrhea again?"

"Yeah, what are you gonna do, Poison Pants?"

"Hahaha, let us have the woman instead!"

"Diarrhea boy!"

---

Hssssss…

That was the last straw.

Magellan's eyes went bloodshot. Veins bulged on his forehead.

His voice dropped to a low, dangerous growl.

"You're all seriously getting on my nerves."

Thump. Thump. Thump.

With each step, the floor vibrated.

Magellan's body began to transform — melting into a torrent of dark purple poison.

In a flash, he became the Venom Demon.

"W-Wait! Warden, please!"

Hannyabal panicked, shouting in desperation, but Magellan was beyond reason.

"AAAAAAHHHH—!"

"NOOO—!"

The prisoners' eyes widened in terror as the liquid Magellan surged forward.

"Let me remind you who runs this prison…"

Venom dripped to the floor, hissing and melting stone with a corrosive sizzle.

Three massive, serpent-like poison dragons burst from his body.

The convicts screamed in fear.

"Stop, Magellan!"

"Hey! You idiot!"

"He's going full demon mode again!"

---

As chaos erupted in the cell block, Boa Hancock stepped up to Ace's cell and quietly said:

"Luffy is on his way… to save you."

"What?!"

Ace's eyes widened in utter shock. The words hit him like a cannonball to the chest.

"Aaaaaah! Magellan, damn you! Give us the antidote!!"

One by one, the prisoners collapsed, groaning in agony from the toxins.

Satisfied, Magellan returned to normal and stepped beside Hancock.

"All right, Princess Hancock. Please, continue your conversation."

"No need," she said, turning away.

"I've said what I came to say."

---

"Wait—

Were you telling the truth?"

"I have no reason to lie."

"But why?!"

As she walked away, Ace remained shaken.

Jinbei, watching from his nearby cell, asked:

"Ace… what did she just say to you?"

Ace looked up, voice low and shaky.

"She… she said my brother is here."

"What…?"

"You mean… Straw Hat?! That reckless fool…"

Jinbei's eyes widened in disbelief.

Why was Boa Hancock — of all people — involved in this?

His gaze slowly drifted back to Ace, trying to piece it all together.

---

But Ace had no time to think — a familiar voice echoed in his mind again.

"Hehehe… So the Straw Hat boy has arrived?"

"Looks like my time is almost up…"

"You—! No way…"

"Hehehe. That's right."

"In just over a day, my seal will be fully broken."

"Still, that poison dragon of Magellan's… really pissed me off."

"Daring to steal my likeness…"

"Hmm… Magellan, once I'm free, I'll be sure to make you my first course."
