One Piece: Holy Light Swordmaster

Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Are You Tired of Living?

"Vice Admiral Wright! We're approaching Cocoyasi Village!"

"Good," Wright nodded. "Kuina, once we land, follow Nami to her home and ensure the safety of her and her sister."

"Yes, senior brother!"

"Drake, is everything in place?"

"Yes, sir! Teams 1 through 20 will accompany me to the 16th Branch!"

"Good. Teams 21 through 40, secure the village borders after landing. Report immediately if you spot any Fish-Man Pirates."

"Understood!"

"Teams 51 through 70, protect the villagers and explain our intentions to them."

"Yes, sir!"

"Now... I'll handle this 'Arlong' myself."

The Holy Light, Wright's flagship, docked at Cocoyasi Village. Fifty squads of well-trained marines escorted Kuina and Nami ashore, while Drake led the ship toward the 16th Branch.

As for Wright, he had already flown toward Arlong Park following Nami's directions before the ship even docked.

At the port, Nami explained the situation to the startled villagers. When they learned this was the legendary Vice Admiral Wright of the Marine Headquarters, their fear turned to joy, and they spread the news across the village.

Following Wright's orders, the marines quickly took their positions.

Some squads patrolled the village's borders, while others went with the locals to inform the rest of the villagers. Wright's arrival reassured everyone, though he remained focused on his mission.

"Nami!" the village sheriff, Genzo, spotted her with the marines and hurried over.

As Cocoyasi's sheriff, Genzo had resisted when the Arlong Pirates invaded. However, like most humans, he was no match for the Fish-Men. Arlong's officer, Kuroobi, had humiliated Genzo by defeating him effortlessly and slashing his face with crude swordsmanship, leaving permanent scars.

"Genzo! These marines are under Vice Admiral Wright's command!"

Seeing the man who was like a father to her, Nami ran to him, tears streaming down her face once again.

"W-Wright?!" Genzo caught Nami and froze at the name. "You don't mean—"

"That's right! It's him!" Nami shouted through her tears. "The legend of the East Blue! He's here to take down Arlong and his crew!"

"Really? This is... this is incredible!" Genzo could hardly believe his ears. If it was that man, then the Arlong Pirates were finished!

"Chief Genzo, Nami is correct," Kuina stepped forward proudly. "Senior Brother is now a Vice Admiral in the Marine Headquarters. He's already on his way to deal with Arlong. I'm under orders to protect Nami and her sister."

"Ah! And you are...?" Genzo noticed the respectful attitude of the marines around this young swordswoman.

"You're Vice Admiral Wright's junior sister?"

"That's correct. Please lead us to Nami's sister immediately. We must ensure her safety from any rogue Fish-Men."

"Of course! Follow me!" Genzo picked up Nami and led Kuina toward her home.

Some marines offered to escort Kuina, but she refused.

"Have you forgotten Senior Brother's orders? Protect the villagers and don't follow me!"

"But Miss Kuina..." The squad leader scratched his head nervously. "If something were to happen to you—"

"If Senior Brother trusted me with this task, it means he has faith in my abilities," Kuina said confidently. "Besides, I don't hold any rank. I have no authority to command you, and Senior Brother would scold me if I did."

"Understood. Please be careful, Miss Kuina!" The squad leader saluted before leaving with his team.

The marines knew Kuina's swordsmanship well, having witnessed her special training with Wright. They had no choice but to respect her confidence.

Meanwhile, Wright had arrived at Arlong Park.

"Hmph... this place is a perfect replica of the parks in the Sabaody Archipelago," Wright muttered, frowning. "You admire human achievements so much, yet you harbor hatred toward them, bullying defenseless civilians. If you had even a fraction of Fisher Tiger's courage, you might have been someone worth respecting."

By the pool in Arlong Park, Arlong was discussing their next "tribute collection" with his officers, Kuroobi and Chew. Octopus Fish-Man Hatchan was fishing by the shore, his six arms casting multiple lines at once.

Suddenly—

BOOM!

A golden light descended from the sky, landing by the pool.

As the light faded, a figure clad in a pristine Marine Justice coat emerged.

"A Marine?" Arlong frowned. Descending from the sky... a Devil Fruit user?

"Hahaha!" Arlong laughed as he stood, masking his unease. "What brings a Marine here? Captain Nezumi just visited not long ago!"

"Nezumi?" Wright's calm gaze met Arlong's. "He won't be coming back."

"What do you mean? Has the 16th Branch replaced him? That rat—"

"If he doesn't resist, he might live long enough to stand trial at Headquarters."

Wright slowly drew his blade, Ashes. Arlong's eyes narrowed.

This wasn't an ordinary Marine.

Sensing danger, Arlong signaled his crew to gather. Fish-Men armed themselves and approached cautiously.

"Who are you? Your aura is leagues beyond Nezumi's!" Arlong growled, suppressing his fear.

"Smart guess," Wright said coldly, spinning Ashes in his hand. Golden light swirled around the blade. "Do you recognize this sword?"

"A golden blade... You're..."

The moment Arlong saw Ashes, his heart sank. This sword was more infamous than its wielder.

"Why are you here, in the East Blue?!"

"Vice Admiral Wright of Marine Headquarters," Wright declared, his voice steady. "I'm here to clean up Arlong Park—for the dignity of Fish-Man Island."

"Super Holy Storm!"

A massive golden whirlwind tore through Arlong Park. The storm, its range deliberately widened but power restrained, left no room for escape. Wright ensured its force incapacitated the Fish-Men without killing them outright.

By the time the storm subsided, the park lay in ruins. Only Arlong, the strongest of his crew, remained conscious, though barely.

"Hmph, the power control worked well enough," Wright remarked as he approached the fallen Arlong.

"You didn't know, did you?" Wright's golden gaze bore into Arlong's trembling form. "The East Blue is the home of Vice Admiral Garp and me. Coming here to cause trouble... are you tired of living?"
