One Piece : Herald of the Abyss

Chapter 8: Chapter 8 : “The Abyss Nightmare and The Future Hero”

Kael stands on a hill overlooking the dockyard, the sound of hammers and saws filling the air as the shipwright's crew continues their work. His sharp hearing picks up a conversation among villagers below.

Villager 1 : "Did you hear? Vice Admiral Garp's Navy Headquarter ship was spotted not far from here."

Villager 2 : "What's he doing in these waters?"

Villager 1 : "Who knows? Maybe chasing pirates... or worse, looking for someone like him."

The two villagers glance nervously toward the hill where Kael stands, unaware that he's listening.

Kael smirks, his purple eyes narrowing.

Kael : "Garp, the Future Marine Hero. If the stories are true, he's one of the strongest in the world. Perhaps... the perfect test." Kael muttered to himself

Kael strides into the village, his intimidating presence parting the villagers as he approaches the small inn where the whispers began. Inside, a group of men sits around a table, their conversation halting as Kael enters.

Kael leans on the table, his voice calm but commanding.

Kael : "Tell me everything you know about Vice Admiral Garp's ship. Where was it last seen?"

One of the men stammers, clearly terrified.

Villager : "W-we heard he was near the western waters, chasing down some pirate fleet. His ship's the one with the dog figurehead, can't miss it!"

Kael nods, turning to leave.

Kael commandeers his old ship from the dock, he steers it toward the western waters, the sea spray cool against his face as he follows the villagers' directions.

The journey is uneventful at first, the vast ocean stretching endlessly before him. But as the sun dips lower in the sky, a massive ship comes into view, its distinctive dog-shaped figurehead confirming its identity.

Kael's smirk deepens, his grip on the tiller tightening.

Kael : "The Future Hero of the Marines. Let's see if you live up to your legend."

.

Moments Before At Garp ship

The sea is calm, a vast expanse of blue stretching endlessly under a bright sun. Garp's ship cuts through the water with ease, its dog-shaped figurehead a proud emblem of the Marines' might. The deck is bustling with activity as Marines patrol, perform drills, and maintain the ship's pristine condition.

Standing at the helm, Vice Admiral Garp surveys the horizon, his hands on his hips and his trademark grin plastered across his face.

Marine Lieutenant : "Sir, it's been quiet for hours. No signs of pirate activity in these waters."

Garp : "That's when you should worry the most, kid. The calm always comes before the storm." answer Garp.

As if on cue, a young lookout stationed in the crow's nest shouts, his voice tinged with alarm.

Marine Lookout Officer : "Ship spotted! Dead ahead, a small vessel approaching fast!"

The crew scrambles to action, adjusting sails and preparing for potential conflict. Garp's grin fades slightly as he focuses on the approaching vessel, his sharp eyes narrowing.

Garp :"Let's see who's bold enough to come knocking on my door." He Grins

Moment Present

The small ship cuts through the waves with unnatural speed, its lone occupant standing at the bow. The figure is imposing, clad in dark, weather-worn attire that billows in the wind. His purple eyes gleam with intensity, and the unmistakable aura of danger surrounds him.

The Marines murmur among themselves, their unease growing as the figure draws closer.

Marine Officer : "Who owns the ship? They are not flying any pirate flag."

Marine Officer 2 : "Doesn't matter. If he's crazy enough to approach us, he's either stupid or dangerous."

Garp steps forward, his towering presence commanding silence among his men.

Garp : "Hold steady! Let's not start throwing punches before we know who we're dealing with."

The small boat pulls alongside the massive Marine ship, and the figure leaps effortlessly onto the deck. His boots land with a heavy thud, the wood creaking under the weight of his presence.

Kael Draymour rises to his full height, his purple eyes scanning the Marines with cold indifference.

The Marines bristle, their hands moving to their weapons. Garp raises a hand, signaling them to stand down.

Garp : "Well, well. You've got guts, kid. Not many would come charging straight at a Marine ship just to pick a fight." says Garp knowing who Kael was from his appearance

Kael smirks, his expression devoid of humor.

Kael : "Guts have nothing to do with it. I've come to see the so-called "justice" mock Kael at the marines.

Garp steps closer, his grin returning as he cracks his knuckles. as the marine around Garp starts getting angry from Kael words.

Garp : "You talk big for someone with no crew and a boat that looks like it's held together with spit and prayers. But I've fought men like you before. Let me guess, you're after fame, glory, and a bounty big enough to make the world tremble?" asked Garp

Kael's smirk fades, replaced by a cold, deadly glare.

Kael : "I'm not here for fame or glory. I'm here to tear down the world you call justice and replace it with chaos." answered Kael

The tension on the deck is palpable, the air thick with the promise of violence. The Marines grip their weapons tightly, their eyes darting between Kael and Garp.

Garp : "Well, you've got ambition, I'll give you that. But ambition alone won't save you when the fists start flying!" He takes a step forward, his grin widening.

Garp : "Come on, then! Let's see what you're made of!" Garp with a smirk

Kael's hand tightens as he meets Garp's gaze, the clash between the two is inevitable.

.

(and so its begins)

Kael and Garp stand on opposite ends on their respective ships, the tension between them electrifying the air. The Marines clear the area, their faces pale with fear and anticipation.

Garp : "Let's see if you've got the strength to back up all that talk!"

Kael doesn't reply. Instead, he dashes forward with blinding speed, his hands turning into claws aimed straight at Garp. The Vice Admiral blocks the strike with his forearm, the clash against Reinforced skin sending a shockwave through the deck.

The two exchange blows at a rapid pace, each strike shaking the ship and sending splinters flying. Garp's raw strength meets Kael's precision and ruthlessness, the battle teetering on the edge of chaos.

Garp : "You've got skill, kid. But skill alone won't cut it against someone like me!"

Kael's smirk is cold and unyielding as he counters with a flurry of strikes.

Kael : "And brute strength alone won't save you from what's coming next."

As the battle intensifies, Kael's movements grow more erratic, his strikes heavier and more forceful. A dark, ominous aura begins to radiate from his body, chilling the air around him.

Garp pauses, his eyes narrowing as he senses the shift in energy.

Garp : "What's this? You've been holding back?"

Kael steps back, his purple eyes glowing brighter as he retracts his claws. He spreads his arms wide, the dark aura surrounding him expanding and twisting like living shadows.

An eerie aura seeping into the marines soul

With a roar that shakes the heavens, Kael's body begins to transform. His skin darkens to a pitch-black hue, his muscles bulging as his form grows larger and more monstrous. His ribs become visible, glowing with an eerie purple light as his scales sharpen into razor-edged armor.

The Marines stumble back in terror as Kael's dragon form emerges, a towering nightmare of obsidian and amethyst, its glowing eyes piercing through the chaos from the air.

Marine Lieutenant : "H-he's a Devil Fruit user! A monster!" scared.

Marine Officer : "Is that... a dragon?!" he screamed to the sky

Garp's grin fades for the first time, replaced by a look of grim determination.

Garp : "A Mythical Zoan... and a dangerous one at that…. Tch i never seen this type of mythical zoan dragon before.." muttered Garp

Kael's massive form moves with terrifying speed as he lunges at Garp, his claws swiping with enough force to tear through the ship's mast. Garp dodges just in time, the wind from the attack sending Marines tumbling across the deck.

Kael opens his maw, unleashing a torrent of purple flames that roar toward Garp. The Vice Admiral raises his arms, his Haki protecting him as the flames engulf the deck, setting it ablaze.

Garp : "Dammit kid… you are going to destroy my crew and ship" screamed Garp.

Garp charges through the flames, his fist cocked back and glowing with Haki. He slams it into Kael's side, the impact sending shockwaves rippling through the air. Kael staggers but quickly retaliates with a swipe of his tail, sending Garp crashing into the ship.

Kael snarls, his wings unfurling as he takes to the sky. Hovering above the ship, he looks down at Garp, his glowing ribs pulsating with energy.

He dives toward Garp, the force of his descent cracking the deck beneath his massive claws as the battle continues.

Garp jumps and stands his ground, his fists glowing with intense Armament Haki, his expression a mix of grim determination and exhilaration.

The air crackles with energy as Kael, in his full Abyss Dragon form, roars with an earth-shaking ferocity. His wings unfurl wide, their sheer size blotting out the sun and casting the Marine ship into shadow. Purple flames flicker along his jaws, illuminating the terror-stricken faces of the crew.

Kael lunges forward, his massive claws tearing through the air with a speed that belies his size. The force of his movement generates a gale that nearly capsizes the ship, sending Marines flying across the deck.

Marine Lieutenant : "Brace yourselves! He's coming straight for the Vice Admiral!"

Garp leaps into the air, his powerful legs propelling him toward Kael's oncoming form. His fists collide with the dragon's claws in a deafening explosion of power, the impact sending shockwaves rippling across the ocean.

Garp : "You've got power, kid, but you still lack control! That's why you'll lose!"

He slams his Haki-coated fist into Kael's glowing ribs, the impact causing a burst of purple energy to erupt from the dragon's body. Kael roars in pain but retaliates instantly, his jaws snapping at Garp with terrifying speed.

The Marines on the deck are thrown into chaos as the two giants battle above them. The ship groans under the strain of their attacks, its hull cracking and splintering with every blow.

Marine Lieutenant : "Abandon ship! Get to the lifeboats before we're dragged under!"

The crew hesitates, torn between their duty and the sheer impossibility of the situation.

Kael's wings beat furiously, generating powerful gusts that force Garp to retreat momentarily. The dragon ascends higher into the sky, his ribs glowing brighter as they pulse with energy.

Kael : "Let's see if the so-called Justice of the Marines can withstand the full might of the abyss!"

He inhales deeply, the light within his ribs growing brighter and more concentrated. Then, with a deafening roar, Kael unleashes a torrent of searing purple flames. The blast tears through the sky, a cataclysmic stream of destruction aimed directly at Garp and his ship.

The Marines on the deck scream in terror as the massive flame breath hurtles toward them. The heat is so intense that it scorches the air, and the sheer force of the blast creates waves that rock the ship violently.

Garp stands firm, his expression grim but unyielding as the purple flames descend. He clenches his fists, the veins on his arms bulging as he channels his full power into his next attack.

Garp : "You've got guts, kid, but if you think I'll let you destroy my crew, you're dead wrong!" he grins wildly.

He leaps into the air, meeting the oncoming flames head-on. His fist glows with an overwhelming aura of Conqueror's and Armament Haki, the air around it crackling and distorting under the pressure.

Garp : "Galaxy Impact!" Screamed Garp

He punches forward with all his might, his attack colliding with the center of Kael's flame breath. The impact creates a massive shockwave that ripples across the ocean, splitting the sea below and sending chunks of the Marine ship flying into the air.

The force of the collision is blinding. Kael's purple flames swirl against the raw power of Garp's Galaxy Impact, neither side giving way. The energy from the clash sends tremors through the sky and sea, the world itself seeming to tremble under their might.

With a final surge of power, Garp's Galaxy Impact begins to push back against Kael's flames. The combined energy explodes outward in a massive burst, the shockwave flattening the waves and sending the Marines tumbling across the deck.

.

When the smoke clears, the Marine ship is heavily damaged, its deck charred and broken. Many of the crew lie unconscious, but Garp stands tall amidst the wreckage, his coat singed but his spirit unbroken.

Kael hovers in the sky, his dragon form battered but still imposing. His golden eyes narrow as he watches Garp, a mix of frustration and respect flickering across his face.

Kael : "This man... He's stronger than I expected. But strength alone won't save him from the abyss."

Kael lets out one final roar before turning and flying off into the horizon, his massive wings beating against the air.

As the Marines begin to recover, Garp looks out at Kael's retreating form.

Garp : "A monster like that... If he keeps growing stronger, he'll be a threat to the entire world."

He clenches his fist, his expression hardening. Then he turn to his remaining crew

Garp : "Get this ship back in shape. We've got to report this to the higher-ups. They needs to know more about Kael Draymour threat, someone give me Den - Den Mushi" Ordered Garp.

The Battle ends…. But.. what Kael and Garp didn't know.. A group of reporters watching their battle from a nearby island.

Reporter 1 : "What… what we just witness" Hes Trembling

Reporter 2 : "This is big news….. Kael Draymour and Vice Admiral Garp" he spoke in silence.
