On the way to Galley-La Company, Nami took out the map drawn by Granny Kokoro.
After studying it carefully, Nami threw the map away with a blank expression.
"This is nothing but a scribble! Who could possibly understand it?" she thought, frustration building up inside her.
The little devil in Nami's heart roared.
Finally, she closed her eyes and used her Thunder Fruit-amplified Observation Haki to cover nearly the entire City of Water 7, easily locating the Galley-La Company.
As she arrived, she saw that the entrance was quite noisy.
"Thanks for fixing up our ship so well, but we don't plan on paying you a single coin."
The captain of a pirate crew laughed at the boatwrights who had repaired his ship.
The nearby boatwrights, however, didn't seem to be bothered at all and continued with their work.
"Hey, you idiots! Didn't you hear me? I'm not going to pay you!"
Seeing he was being ignored, the pirate captain grew furious.
Just then, a man with an icy expression, a striped beard on his chin, and wearing a suit emerged from the shipbuilding factory, accompanied by a blonde woman with glasses and an obvious occult-style outfit.
"What's happening over there, Kalifa?"
The man with the cold demeanor asked without a hint of emotion.
"Mr. Iceburg, this is Dock No. 1. There's a customer who had their ship repaired but refuses to pay. It's harassment," Kalifa responded, pushing up her glasses.
"Well, that's definitely harassment," Iceburg, the boss of Galley-La Company and the mayor of Water 7, scratched his cheek and replied expressionlessly.
"If you disturb the boatwrights, the consequences won't be good, dear guest," said a blond man wearing a blue denim jacket, a cigar in his mouth, orange goggles, and a scruffy beard while continuing his work.
This was Barry, one of the five foremen of Galley-La Company.
"Oh? I'd like to see what those consequences might be! Hahaha!"
The pirate captain burst out laughing, joined by his crew.
"Wham!"
As they laughed, a plank of wood was swung towards the captain's head.
"Bang!"
With a loud crash, the pirate captain rolled his eyes and collapsed to the ground.
"Hey! What did you do to our boss?!"
Seeing their captain fall, the pirates shouted angrily.
"Boom!"
A rope suddenly shot out from Barry's sleeve, binding one of the pirates and slamming him to the ground.
"Whack!"
A man with a leopard-print beard and a cold expression appeared instantly, striking several pirates unconscious with his feet.
This was Rob Lucci, one of the five foremen of Galley-La Company and said to be the strongest CP9 agent in 800 years.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
A man with a long, rectangular nose appeared, wielding two ship-repair knives, slicing through a group of pirates with ease.
This was Kaku, another foreman of Galley-La Company and an undercover member of CP9.
"The foremen are taking action!"
"Take down these pirates!"
The surrounding boatwrights cheered excitedly.
Not long after, all the pirates were rendered motionless.
"In the territory of craftsmen, we won't let you do as you please, pirates!"
Barry stood before the crowd, pretending to be the leader of the five foremen, shouting loudly.
Kaku and Lucci, however, paid him no attention, their eyes focused on the three figures approaching them from afar.
"Portgas D. Ace, the captain of the Entei Pirates!"
Kaku and Lucci muttered silently to themselves.
"It seems there were pirates causing trouble here, and they were swiftly dealt with by the boatwrights," Nami observed with her Observation Haki.
"As expected, these people know how to handle unruly pirates. But… their moves earlier resembled the 'Shave' technique from the Six Styles," Nami frowned slightly, observing Kaku and Lucci from a distance.
"Let's see what kind of ship-repairing skills this company, which can handle pirates, really has," Ace said, a slight smile curling on his lips as he walked forward.
"You can't enter the factory. If you have any business, speak outside," Kaku said, stepping in front of Ace and his group under an unspoken signal from Lucci.
"Are you an employee here? We're looking for your boss, Mr. Iceburg," Nami replied, taking out the letter of introduction from Grandma Kokoro and handing it over, her Observation Haki locked onto Kaku.
This was the person who had used the "Shave" technique earlier.
"Oh, so you were introduced by Grandma Kokoro," Kaku said, looking at the letter. His brows relaxed slightly as he smiled.
Is it just a coincidence that Portgas D. Ace came here?
What on earth is Blueno doing? He was supposed to contact Nico Robin, but there's still no response.
Suppressing his emotions, Kaku raised his head from the letter and looked at Ace and the others again.
"You're lucky; Mr. Iceburg is here right now," Kaku smiled.
"Hey? Isn't Mr. Iceburg the boss here? Isn't he usually around?" Vivi asked curiously.
"Hahaha, Mr. Iceburg is not just the boss here; he's also the mayor of Water 7," Kaku explained with a smile, then shouted toward the dock, "Mr. Iceburg! We have a ship-repair request from someone Grandma Kokoro sent!"
"Oh?"
Iceburg heard the call and walked over, expressionless, followed by Kalifa.
Kalifa's eyes instinctively focused on the handsome man with short black hair and a gentle smile.
Captain of the Entei Pirates, with a bounty of 150 million beli, Portgas D. Ace?
This guy isn't like those other troublesome pirates.
What's even more concerning is that Nico Robin is on his ship.
Blueno, why has there been no contact?
Kalifa adjusted her glasses, her mind racing with thoughts.
"Kalifa."
Iceburg glanced at Ace and his group and spoke without emotion.
"Yes, Mr. Iceburg. We've already checked them out," she said.
"Entei Pirates, captain, with a bounty of 150 million beli: Portgas D. Ace.
Entei Pirates, navigator, with a bounty of 13 million beli: the Cat Burglar, Nami.
And…"
Kalifa's gaze turned to Vivi, who was looking expectantly.
"Unknown person?" Kalifa muttered, adjusting her glasses.
"You're the unknown one!" Vivi snapped angrily.
If they weren't here to get the ship repaired, she would've taught this woman a lesson.
She was the cute combatant of the Entei Pirates, a Sand-Sand Fruit user, Vivi!
"The bounty is 150 million beli? Grandma Kokoro really sent me an incredible client," Iceburg said, taking the letter from Kaku. For the first time, his usually expressionless face twitched slightly when he saw the lip print on the letter.
"Rip!"
"Well, it certainly is a letter from Granny Kokoro," Iceburg said, tearing the letter into pieces without a hint of emotion.
"What? Doesn't look like your relationship with Grandma Kokoro is too good, huh?" Vivi teased, seeing the torn letter.
"You disrespectful people!"
"Whoosh!"
Kalifa's long leg shot out like a whip toward Ace and his group.
"Smack!"
The next instant, Kalifa's leg was firmly grasped by a large hand.
"It's easy to get exposed when you raise your legs like that, young lady," Ace remarked with a slight grin, not letting go of her leg.
Kaku and Lucci, who had been observing the situation closely, suddenly felt a chill.
What just happened?
Rather than Kalifa's kick being caught, it looked like Kalifa's kick had landed right into Portgas D. Ace's hand.
Had he anticipated the attack?
"Let go of me! Let go! You're harassing me!" Kalifa's cheeks flushed red as she glared angrily at Ace. Despite her struggles, she couldn't break free from his grip.
"You were the one who disrespected us first, attacking us out of nowhere," Vivi retorted, still annoyed by Kalifa calling her a "nobody" earlier.
"And isn't it also rude to address one of the world's few master shipbuilders as 'you' and 'old man'?" Kalifa shot back. "Let go of me, you rude man!"
Kalifa tried to maintain her balance while looking at Ace with shame and anger. Her current position only heightened her embarrassment: Ace had grabbed hold of her raised leg, causing her entire body to tilt sideways in a rather undignified manner. The boatmen around them looked on with envy; Kalifa, who was usually so composed and cold, had never been treated like this.
"Mr. Iceberg, is she your secretary?" Ace ignored Kalifa's indignation and looked over at Iceberg.
"Yes, she's my secretary. Could you please release her?" Iceberg replied calmly.
"Secretary? That's interesting. That kind of leg strength isn't typical for an ordinary secretary," Ace mused, tightening his grip slightly. Kalifa's face reddened further.
"And that technique you just used—it looks a lot like the Tempest Kick from the Six Powers, a secret technique of the World Government," Ace continued, noticing Kalifa's expression tense up.
"And the guy with the long nose, and the one with the pigeon on his shoulder—the way you moved during that fight earlier looked an awful lot like Shave, another Six Powers technique. I'm curious... how many boatmen would know the combat styles of the World Government?"
Kaku's hand tightened around his shipwright's blade, while Lucci's eyes flashed with a dangerous light.
"I don't know what you're talking about. They're just my secretary and boatmen. You were introduced to me by Granny Kokoro to have your ship repaired, right? Please, do me a favor and let go of my secretary," Iceberg said in a deeper tone, though a flicker of unease flashed in his eyes.
"I don't enjoy troubling ladies either," Ace said with a smile, releasing Kalifa's leg. Meanwhile, he could sense the shifting emotions of Kalifa, Kaku, and Rob Lucci through his Observation Haki.
But this little provocation wasn't enough. Ace wanted to accelerate the events unfolding in Water 7. A smirk formed at the corner of his lips.
"Granny Kokoro and I are drinking buddies; we have a great relationship. So, I promise your ship will be repaired with care," Iceberg assured. "Where is your ship docked? Let Kaku take a look at it first. He's known around here as 'Mountain Wind' because he can run anywhere in the city."
Kaku's expression darkened slightly. Portgas D. Ace knows the Six Powers. His description sounds eerily like the steps I would take if I were trying to self-destruct, Kaku thought.
"Oh? Running in the sky, you say?" Ace's playful tone made both Kalifa and Kaku tense up.
"Like her?" Ace pointed upwards.
With a "boom," a graceful figure streaked across the sky, rippling the air beneath her feet.
"Ace, I'm here!" Kaya called out, her lips curved in a smile. She stopped using Moonwalk and descended rapidly.
"Whoosh!" Ace's smile widened as he caught Kaya in his arms in a princess carry.
"Weren't you afraid I wouldn't catch you?" Ace teased, gazing at Kaya with affection.
"Hehe, as if you ever wouldn't," Kaya replied with a giggle, knowing full well that Ace adored her.
Immediately afterward, another figure appeared next to Ace with a whooshing sound.
"Kaya, your Moonwalk is so fast, I could hardly keep up!" Nojiko exclaimed, smiling as she looked at Kaya, who Ace had just set down.
Kaya's physical strength is becoming more and more impressive. With the powers of the Heal-Heal Fruit, relentless training, and Ace's guidance, Kaya's body has grown stronger than anyone else in the crew except for Ace himself. Even Raki, who ate the Mythical Zoan—Phoenix model, wasn't as formidable as Kaya now.
Iceberg observed how Kaya and Nojiko had arrived, and a deeper sense of worry settled in his eyes. Even though he wasn't a fighter himself, he recognized the similarity in their movements.
Those techniques looked exactly like Kaku's sky-running and the footwork of Lucci during combat. "Shave... Moonwalk..." he muttered under his breath.
Kaku and Kalifa's expressions shifted. People on Ace's ship know the Six Powers? This is bad. Our cover is at risk. Their eyes involuntarily drifted toward Lucci, who maintained a stoic expression.
Ace sensed the tension building and kept pressing. "How's that? Does it look familiar? That's Moonwalk, from the Six Powers. Quite a sight, isn't it?"
Iceberg remained silent, while Lucci narrowed his eyes, his instincts itching to transform into his Zoan form. But he restrained himself—the mission wasn't over yet, and a conflict with Portgas D. Ace wasn't wise right now.
Kalifa and Kaku were doing their best to suppress their emotions, no matter what Ace said. The surrounding boatmen could sense the rising tension and watched with caution.
"Oh, by the way, my crew ran into something interesting on our way here," Ace continued, his Observation Haki picking up the fluctuating emotions of Kalifa, Kaku, and Lucci like a predator toying with its prey.
"Some guy calling himself CP9 offended my crew. Do you know him?" Ace asked, his gaze landing on Kaku and Lucci with a mischievous smirk.
In the distance, flower petals floated in the air, forming arms that moved rapidly.
"Boom!"
A figure landed silently in the middle of the group, his eyes rolled back into his head.
"Blueno?!"
Many of the boatmen gasped in shock. Isn't that Blueno, the bartender?
Kaku and Kalifa's expressions changed. Blueno! Defeated already?!
Across the way, Rob Lucci's wild instincts flashed through his eyes, but he suppressed them furiously. He realized that Ace already knew their identities!
Portgas D. Ace, this bastard! He's toying with us! Treating us like we're beneath him!
"Nico Robin!" Iceberg's eyes widened as he spotted the figure slowly approaching from the distance.
"Captain, I've brought the one who dared to offend our Entei Pirates," Robin reported with a bright smile.
"Thanks for the hard work," Ace replied. "So, do you recognize him?" Ace asked again, stepping on Blueno's unconscious body, his eyes glowing with a deep, imposing purple-black light.
