One Piece: General Blue

Chapter 169: Chapter 169: Law's Resolve

"Hurry up, you idiots! Stop that lunatic Shiryu right now!"

At the elevator entrance leading from Level 4 to Level 3, Sadi was furiously whipping the four burly prison beasts under her command. The beasts, struck repeatedly by her pink leather whip, galloped forward at full speed, causing the floors of the Hunger Hell to tremble under their weight.

"Vice Warden Hannyabal! Please move faster. Now's not the time to pretend to be sick. If something happens to Captain Rorschach in Impel Down, we won't be able to escape responsibility."

As she ran, Sadi glanced back at the sluggish Hannyabal.

"What? I'll be held responsible too?"

The moment he heard that, Hannyabal leapt three feet into the air as if his seat was on fire.

"Yes. Captain Rorschach's status is not ordinary. He's the number one rising star of Marine Headquarters and a top-tier talent nurtured by multiple high-ranking officers. If anything happens to him, we could face demotion or even imprisonment!"

"De... demotion?!"

Hannyabal's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

At the mention of demotion, all his laziness vanished instantly. He unsheathed the long sword at his waist and sprinted forward like the wind, overtaking even the charging prison beasts and rushing to the front.

"I'm so close to becoming the warden. If I get demoted now, my life will be ruined!"

"Brother Rorschach, please don't get hurt!"

Hibari followed closely behind Sadi, worry written all over her face.

Earlier, Rorschach had grown impatient and surged ahead, leaping up through the ventilation shaft from the Blazing Hell.

She, on the other hand, followed Sadi and Hannyabal, using the elevator to get to Level 3.

As for the unreliable Warden Magellan? He was still stuck in the Blazing Hell's restroom dealing with stomach issues.

This greatly lowered Hibari's opinion of Magellan.

Back in Marineford, she had heard all about Magellan's fearsome reputation as the "King of Hell."

But now that she saw him in person, he seemed anything but reliable.

The prison cells near the Hunger Hell ventilation shaft were designated for prisoners with bounties exceeding 100 million, who hadn't committed particularly heinous crimes.

Their offenses weren't severe enough to send them to the scorching depths of Level 4, Blazing Hell, but due to their strength, they were placed near the unbearable heat of the ventilation shaft. The rising steam from the boiling blood pool below left them barely alive each day.

At this moment, the Decalvan Brothers were imprisoned in one such cell near the ventilation shaft.

In less than six months, the once obese twin brothers had become skin and bones. Their once chubby faces were now gaunt, with sunken eye sockets.

"That damned Marine brat... If I ever see him again, I swear I'll eat a massive feast right in front of him!"

"Yeah! That Marine brat... Ugh... I miss eating fish so much..."

"Me too... Hey, didn't that Marine say that if we reform ourselves and join the Marines, they'll let us out?"

"Not sure, but that big dumb giant really did get taken away. Should we consider surrendering? Becoming Marines and all?"

"Joining the Marines might work, but I still want to give that brat who beat us a good pounding."

As they talked, a familiar crackling sound of electricity filled the air, making both brothers shudder instinctively.

Then, to their horror, they saw a familiar silver-haired figure standing outside their cell, gripping the face of a middle-aged man with one hand.

In the blink of an eye, the silver-haired youth hurled the man straight toward the massive blood pool entrance with terrifying force.

"Boom!"

A shockwave burst in mid-air, and the man crashed down like a meteor, plunging straight into the boiling blood-red waters below.

"Splash! Splash! Splash!"

In the center of the boiling blood pool, scalding waves erupted dozens of meters high as the bubbling blood rippled outward in massive concentric circles, throwing the entire pool into chaos.

The Decalvan Brothers gaped in shock.

"T-That... That's Shiryu of the Rain, the Chief Warden of Impel Down!"

"That Marine brat... He actually threw the ruthless Shiryu of the Rain into the blood pool!"

The two exchanged glances, instinctively shrinking into the corner of their cell. They no longer dared to talk about getting revenge on Rorschach .

That seemingly young Marine was simply too terrifying.

In the distance, Hannyabal, Sadi, and Hibari, who had been rushing forward, came to a stunned halt as they witnessed Rorschach hurling Shiryu into the blood pool. Their eyes widened in disbelief.

"C-Captain Rorschach actually took down Chief Warden Shiryu! Amazing! Mm~ No wonder he's the man I have my eyes on."

Sadi caressed her cheek, letting out a sultry moan that made Hibari glance at her with wary eyes.

"They went down to the Blazing Hell again. What should we do?" Hannyabal asked hurriedly.

"You should send people to treat the injured guards and the giant first," Hibari replied while running towards the fallen giant Palmer. "Since Brother Rorschach was able to defeat that ruthless old man, it proves he's stronger. We don't need to worry about him anymore."

Compared to that so-called King of Hell, her Brother Rorschach was far more reliable.

Seeing that Rorschach had subdued Shiryu, Hibari felt relieved.

Hannyabal gazed down at the steaming blood pool below, overwhelmed with shock.

"Captain Rorschach is this strong? Even that lunatic Shiryu isn't his match?"

No one knew Shiryu's strength better than Hannyabal.

Aside from Magellan, Shiryu was the strongest man in all of Impel Down.

A bloodthirsty lunatic.

His eyes darted around in thought before they suddenly lit up. Clenching his right fist, he smacked it against his left palm.

"He's only a captain now and already this powerful. He's bound to become a high-ranking Marine officer in the future, maybe even an admiral! If I stay on his good side, I won't have to worry about becoming the warden!"

With this in mind, Hannyabal eagerly trotted over to Rorschach , showering him with flattery and concern.

"Enough nonsense. Get that guy treated immediately," Lwa snapped.

His expression didn't look too good.

Compared to Rorschach , he felt like he was falling further and further behind.

Back in the Kingdom of Prince, it was Rorschach who turned the tide.

At Sabaody, Rorschach single-handedly crushed all the pirates.

His own promotions seemed to be thanks to Rorschach's influence and his connection with Sengoku.

And now, during their first real mission after leaving Marineford for their final graduation exam...

He was effortlessly defeated the moment they left, unable to even put up a fight.

Meanwhile, Rorschach ...

He completely overwhelmed someone as strong as the Chief Warden without breaking a sweat.

He hadn't even been forced to use his Devil Fruit ability yet.

After six months of rigorous training since the Sabaody incident, Law had thought he was catching up to Rorschach .

But now, the gap between them seemed wider than ever.

If this continued, how would he ever help that arrogant fool with his sky-high ambitions?

The enemies they'd face in the future would only get stronger.

"Damn it!"

"I'm too weak!"

"I have to train even harder!"
