Chapter 134: Valley of the Gods (Acting)
Charlotte rushed into the crowd!
The people in front of him were no match for him at all.
With every swing of his sword, waves of sword energy flew out, cutting down everyone in his path. None of them could get within three meters of him before being struck down.
It didn't take long for Charlotte to feel bored.
The battle in the Valley of the Gods, for which he had prepared for so long, had reduced him to cleaning up a bunch of insignificant soldiers.
What about Sengoku? What about Zephyr? And where was Admiral Kong?
He wanted to face them all at once!
Charlotte cut down another opponent effortlessly. While pretending to focus on the soldiers around him, his attention remained fixed on Rocks and the other cadres.
Charlotte Linlin, John, Silver Axe, and Ochoku were all suppressing their opponents with ease, their movements almost too measured.
For some reason, Charlotte felt as if they were acting. Were they deliberately holding back?
He observed their exaggerated movements and couldn't help but scoff to himself.
It seemed like they were all putting on a show, each of them trying to perform better than the last.
Rocks was truly unlucky to be surrounded by such dramatists.
Meanwhile, Rocks was observing his crew, nodding with satisfaction. His officers were perfectly suppressing the forces of the World Government and the Navy Headquarters, giving him a distinct advantage in this war.
But Rocks' attention soon turned toward the Five Elder Stars' representative, Saint Satan, who was standing with an imposing air.
"Hahahahaha! Old man, what do you think of my crew? Those so-called elites of yours are no match for them. Surrender now, or you'll be putting your life in danger!" Rocks taunted, his laughter echoing.
Saint Satan, however, stood firm, his expression dark and foreboding. He straightened his suit, exuding an air of defiance.
"You want to get past me? Then you'll have to defeat me first!" Saint Satan declared.
Suddenly, a powerful wave of Armament Haki burst from him, coating his entire body in an impenetrable black sheen.
Rocks met this challenge with his own Conqueror's Haki, the force of his will colliding with Satan's in a titanic clash.
Charlotte paused mid-swing, turning his attention to the two men.
The sheer force of their wills battling against each other created ripples in the air, distorting the battlefield.
Charlotte was momentarily stunned. This was the kind of overwhelming power he had always sought. The courage, determination, and ambition these two men possessed were beyond anything he could have imagined.
But as he observed more closely, Charlotte realized something astonishing: Rocks' Haki was stronger than Saint Satan's.
"Is this the ambition to conquer the world?" Charlotte wondered, his admiration tinged with disbelief.
He wasn't the only one watching. All the cadres under Rocks had their eyes on him, wanting to see the gap in strength between themselves and their captain.
"Hahahahaha! Have you been kneeling so long that you've forgotten how to stand?" Rocks sneered at Saint Satan, his words dripping with mockery.
The taunt struck a nerve, further weakening Satan's resolve.
"Damn you, Rocks! You've become a true threat to the World Government. Even if it costs me my life, I'll kill you here and now!" Saint Satan roared, his muscles bulging with exertion as he charged forward.
"Come, then!" Rocks replied, meeting the charge head-on.
Their fists collided with a deafening clang, sending shockwaves across the battlefield. Saint Satan was forced back several steps, barely able to keep his footing.
"Wahahaha! Is that all you've got? You're not even as strong as the weakest of my officers, yet you think you can stop me?" Rocks laughed, his tone dripping with disdain.
Saint Satan gritted his teeth, his anger boiling over. "I may be old, but if you want to pass, you'll have to step over my dead body!"
"Then I'll grant your wish!" Rocks roared, charging forward once more.
Charlotte, who was observing from a distance, shook his head. He had expected the Five Elders to be stronger, but this fight only confirmed that they were not as invincible as their reputations suggested.
With his Seven Star Sword in hand, Charlotte dealt with another naval officer before quietly making his way toward the hall in the center of the battlefield.
He was determined to uncover the secret of the King of Heaven.
Charlotte swung his sword, cutting down anyone who dared to block his path. By the time he reached the hall's entrance, he was drenched in sweat, his Observation Haki on high alert.
"Quick! We can't let Charlotte into the hall!" a desperate voice called out.
Charlotte smirked. "And who told you to talk so much?"
With a single slash, he obliterated the speaker, a rear admiral, in a burst of sword energy.
"Bah, you deserved that!" Charlotte muttered, spitting on the ground.
Just as he reached out to push open the door, a sudden flash of danger coursed through his senses.
Charlotte froze, his Observation Haki screaming a warning.
"Damn it! There's someone strong inside!" he muttered, quickly retreating a few steps.
"You little thief! How dare you!" Saint Satan shouted, noticing Charlotte's actions while still fending off Rocks.
Charlotte ignored the outburst, instead channeling his strength into the Seven Star Sword. Lightning crackled along the blade as his Armament Haki infused it with raw power.
"Demon Sword Tyrant Heaven!" Charlotte roared, unleashing a devastating slash at the hall's door.
The impact created a massive explosion, the sound reverberating across the battlefield.
From within the hall, a guttural cry of pain was heard, followed by the sound of a body hitting the ground.
The sudden display of power drew everyone's attention.
Realizing Charlotte was ahead, Charlotte Linlin, Ochoku, John, Silver Axe, and even Kaido sprang into action, each determined to claim the spoils for themselves.
