Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Fire
Chapter 132: Fire
Everyone stood still in the hall, motionless.
Bored, Garp pulled out a bag of donuts he carried with him and started eating them in large bites.
This made the CP0 chief and deputy chief standing next to him frown slightly. However, seeing the Five Elders with their eyes closed and saying nothing, they swallowed back their rebukes.
While those in the hall remained oblivious, chaos erupted at the outskirts of the Valley of the Gods.
"What the hell is this place? Why is it so hard to find?"
Golden Lion Shiki scowled as he scanned the surroundings and cursed loudly.
When they approached this sea area, all the recording pointers and other navigational tools became useless. The only thing guiding them was the recording pointer in Rocks' possession.
But even so, over 20 ships had gone missing, leaving the pirate fleet significantly diminished from the original nearly 100 vessels. Many of these missing ships belonged to Shiki, adding to his irritation.
Charlotte, sitting nearby, drank calmly. He had no subordinates following him, so he felt no particular concern. However, he couldn't help but agree with Shiki's frustration.
This sea area was exceptionally strange—Den Den Mushi didn't even work, as though the entire fleet had been isolated from the outside world. Without Rocks' recording pointer, they would have been hopelessly lost.
Gulp.
"Kulala! Shiki, stop making such a fuss!" Whitebeard Edward Newgate said, chuckling as he observed Shiki's anger.
"Shut up, Edward! If it were your sons, you'd be just as distressed as I am!" Shiki shot back, irritated by Whitebeard's teasing.
Bang!
Without hesitation, Whitebeard punched Shiki, who retaliated by drawing his sword to block.
"What? You want to fight me on the ship now?" Shiki sneered, his cigar still in his mouth.
Charlotte, still sitting calmly nearby, interjected, "Alright, enough. We're on the same ship, and Rocks is right there. If you're so eager to fight, go challenge him. Just don't damage the boat."
Over the past few days, Charlotte had struck up some casual conversations with Whitebeard, and their relationship had warmed slightly.
Hearing Charlotte's words, both men snorted and dropped the matter.
Rocks, observing from the helm, said nothing, but his attention was focused elsewhere—on the faint outline of an island appearing in the distance.
Rocks' lips curled into a sinister grin before his booming laughter broke the silence.
"Hahahahahaha! We've found it! The Valley of the Gods!"
Everyone on the ship turned their attention to Rocks, their expressions shifting to a mixture of excitement and greed.
They raised their telescopes and confirmed the sight for themselves—an island looming ahead, surrounded by mystery.
"Captain Rocks, is that truly the Valley of the Gods? The place where the Celestial Dragons have hidden their treasures?"
"Of course! This is the Valley of the Gods!" Rocks declared confidently.
Hearing Rocks' confirmation, the pirates erupted in excitement, their greed evident in their eyes.
Rocks stood at the bow, his voice ringing out like a battle cry. "My brothers, the time has come! Plunder the Valley of the Gods and take all their treasures!"
Rocks' words ignited a frenzy among the pirates. Over fifty pirate ships surged forward like ravenous beasts, their sights set on the Valley of the Gods.
As the fleet approached, the port of the Valley of the Gods came into view, revealing nearly a hundred World Government ships docked there. Among them were special vessels marked with the World Government insignia and naval warships.
Charlotte's gaze landed on one particular warship with a dog-shaped figurehead.
"Garp's ship…" Charlotte muttered, recognizing the familiar design.
Just as in the original story, Garp was indeed here. Charlotte shifted his focus to Rocks, who was staring at the island with unbridled madness in his eyes.
"Fire at will!" Rocks bellowed, pointing toward the shore.
The pirates immediately obeyed. The cannons on their ships roared as they unleashed a barrage of firepower on the port and nearby warships.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions rocked the shore as cannonballs rained down, turning the port into a fiery hell.
Naval soldiers stationed at the port had already spotted the approaching fleet and were scrambling to respond.
"Enemy attack! The Rocks Pirates are attacking!"
"Quickly, inform the Five Elders!"
"Send word to Vice Admiral Garp!"
But before they could react, the cannonballs struck. The once-orderly port descended into chaos, with flames spreading and countless lives lost in an instant. Many of the casualties were slaves, who had no chance to escape.
Meanwhile, at the center of the Valley of the Gods, Garp and Saint Satan were startled simultaneously.
"Something's wrong!"
"There's trouble at the port!"
They both spoke at the same time, their alarm palpable.
The noise outside the hall grew louder as chaos erupted. Garp wasted no time, dashing out of the hall to investigate.
"What are you standing around for? Go check the port!" Saint Satan barked at the CP0 officers, his voice sharp with anger.
Despite the noise, Saint Satan seemed more annoyed than concerned. To him, this was likely a minor disturbance caused by unruly slaves, not an external attack.
He scoffed at the idea of an invasion. After all, the Valley of the Gods was an isolated location, known only to the Five Elders. Without the special recording pointer, it was impossible to find.
Saint Satan's overconfidence blinded him to the reality of the situation as the Valley of the Gods burned around him.
