One Piece: Burning the Sun God to Ash

Chapter 81: Bullet vs Sakazuki

On the deck, Bullet and Sakazuki stood face-to-face.

The surrounding soldiers temporarily paused their training, sitting cross-legged in formation near the railing.

"Go, Bullet!"

"Charge!!!"

"Just hit him!!!"

"Come on!!!"

"Awooo—!!"

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Bullet's mouth.

He took off his jacket, revealing a tight-fitting short-sleeved shirt clinging to his body.

It outlined a set of explosive muscles.

Fighting spirit burned in his eyes.

Haki instantly coated his arms.

Karol stepped between the two and raised her right hand:

"Begin!"

Her arm swung down sharply, then she vanished from the arena.

The moment Karol disappeared—

Bullet stepped lightly.

Boom!

The entire warship trembled slightly with a loud bang.

Bullet vanished from where he stood, leaving behind only a shattered deck.

Snap!

A sharp sound rang out near Sakazuki.

Bullet had appeared directly in front of him.

The gust of wind he brought along caused Sakazuki's Justice cloak to billow.

Sakazuki extended his left hand to catch Bullet's incoming punch.

"Not bad strength."

Bullet's eyes narrowed.

An overwhelming force clamped down on his right fist.

He couldn't pull it back.

With his left hand, he formed a fist, the middle knuckle slightly protruding, and swung it in a half-arc.

It struck directly toward Sakazuki's temple.

Snap!

His wrist was caught again—this time by Sakazuki's right hand.

Whoosh—

A piercing sound came from below.

At some point, Bullet's knee had been coated with Haki.

It shot toward Sakazuki's vital area.

Sakazuki lifted his left knee slightly to deflect it while twisting his body, applying force with his arms in a circular motion.

Bullet spun mid-air and was thrown backward.

The look of admiration in Sakazuki's eyes didn't diminish.

His moves were sharp and concise, every strike aimed at vital points—he was clearly seeking a one-hit kill.

Coupled with his innate talent, he was a perfect warrior.

Bullet spun a few times and landed on the deck.

He crouched slightly.

Whoosh—

A blur streaked across the deck like a hunting leopard.

He charged at Sakazuki.

His arms swung in quick blurs, coordinated with knee strikes, each aimed at Sakazuki's weak points.

His moves were compact and fast.

He sought to land a surprise strike.

Sakazuki steadily retreated in the face of Bullet's onslaught.

His arms and knees seemed to anticipate every attack from Bullet.

He blocked each blow.

When Bullet's attacks failed to connect, he changed tactics.

He focused on a single point, each strike faster than the last.

His attacks grew sharper, his rhythm clearer, his bursts of power stronger.

The watching soldiers clapped and cheered for Bullet.

"Keep it up, Bullet!"

"Charge, charge!"

"That's it!!!"

"Woo!!!"

Sakazuki was just about to reach the bulkhead behind him.

Bullet threw a punch.

Just as Sakazuki raised his hand—

The punch originally aimed at his throat suddenly changed trajectory.

It turned into a strike aimed at his heart.

There wasn't the slightest hesitation or awkwardness in the feint.

It all flowed perfectly.

As if this move had been intended all along.

Suddenly, Sakazuki raised his left knee.

He drove it straight into Bullet.

Bullet's heart skipped a beat.

His combination attack had been too smooth; there was no time to counter.

With a flash of determination, he raised his right knee—coated in Haki—and rammed it forward.

At the same time, the muscles in his right arm bulged.

The strike aiming for Sakazuki's heart became even faster.

Clang!

The two knees collided with a metallic clang.

A tremendous force surged through—Bullet's body trembled backward. Alarm bells rang in his mind.

Damn it!

The strike that was about to pierce Sakazuki's heart—

Trembled for an instant due to his body's sudden recoil.

At that moment, Sakazuki extended the index and middle fingers of his left hand.

Crack!

He caught Bullet's hand.

Whoosh!

Another slicing sound echoed from below.

At some point, Sakazuki's right leg lashed out.

It was like a whip, striking at Bullet's left side.

Bullet raised his left fist and slammed it downward with force.

At the moment of impact, Bullet's balance wavered slightly.

He was startled.

Losing balance in a battlefield was fatal.

He steeled himself and forced the strike through.

But unexpectedly—the whip-like leg that was supposed to strike suddenly pulled back.

Bullet completely lost his balance, his pupils contracting sharply.

Sakazuki's retracted leg straightened into a fierce kick.

It struck Bullet square in the abdomen.

Whoosh—

Boom!

A blur streaked across the deck—Bullet slammed into the railing.

His body flipped and landed on the deck.

He was already thinking up his next strategy.

But his body didn't pause.

He took an offensive stance, stepped down hard, and disappeared from view.

Twisting his waist and spinning with momentum, he launched a leg strike at Sakazuki.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!...

The sounds of fists and feet colliding rang out nonstop.

With Sakazuki returning every move, Bullet was able to go all-out without restraint.

For the first time in his life, he fought so freely.

His breath didn't weaken—instead, he grew more ferocious with each exchange.

The fierce, body-slamming brawls ignited the testosterone of the surrounding soldiers.

They could no longer restrain themselves—one by one, they stood up, looking for opponents.

The warship instantly descended into a chaotic melee.

Karol shook her head with a soft laugh as she watched, then went off to tell the chef to prepare extra meat for dinner tonight.

After a clattering of weapons—

Bullet was once again sent flying.

He stood up and wiped a streak of blood from the corner of his mouth.

Looking at Sakazuki, he opened his mouth and said:

"Vice Admiral Sakazuki, be careful."

"I have a technique... I can't control it."

"It was something I awakened by chance on the battlefield in the past."

"Please watch out."
