Chapter 134: Shiki's Ambush
"You two, please... give me some face."
When Roger stood between the two and spoke these words, Alucard inexplicably felt a strong sense of déjà vu.
The scene fell silent for a moment.
Upon seeing Whitebeard's heavily wounded state, the Whitebeard Pirates, who initially sought revenge for Drew, also fell silent. Although Drew was a commander, the Whitebeard Pirates had already lost countless men in past battles.
Edward Newgate, Whitebeard, was the soul of the pirate crew. Sacrificing the captain, the soul, for revenge for a single commander was clearly impossible.
Marco no longer cared about revenge at the moment. He quickly told the medical team and nurses, "Hey! You lot, hurry and get Pops back for treatment!"
The Moby Dick quickly lowered its gangplank, and many ship doctors rushed to Whitebeard's side, preparing to examine him. But just as a nurse applied an extra-large bandage, specially made for Whitebeard's massive body, to temporarily stop the bleeding from his wound,
Whitebeard unexpectedly waved his large hand, tearing off the bandage and shouting, "What are these minor injuries?! Do you want to use this to gain the enemy's sympathy?!"
"Captain, your wounds are deep, don't move around," a nurse stood beside Whitebeard, looking at his horrifying wounds.
"You brats!" Whitebeard slammed his naginata heavily into the ground, causing a tremor. "I am Whitebeard!"
Alucard scoffed at this, then turned and walked towards the sea, leaving a remark: "It's best to listen to the doctor's advice. Being so hung up on pride will lead to an early death."
"You impudent brat." Whitebeard glared at Alucard's retreating back but chose not to pursue him further. He turned and walked towards the Moby Dick, raising his hand and shouting, "My sons! We're sailing back!"
"Oh!!" Tens of thousands of Whitebeard Pirates crew members cheered and waved their hands. For them, as long as Whitebeard returned safely, it was enough.

Alucard observed his ability development values through the "Undying, Unkillable System." Roger suddenly flickered in front of him and said, "Alucard, how about we have a drink and talk?"
Alucard glanced sideways at Roger, already guessing what Roger intended to do. After putting on his sunglasses, the lenses of Alucard's glasses reflected a crimson glow. "My liquor just ran out, as it happens."
"Excellent!" Roger shouted towards Rayleigh and the others, "Men! Let's party!"
"Oh!!"
"Party! Party!"
On the Moby Dick, amidst the crew's persuasion, Whitebeard finally accepted treatment, with IV drips inserted into him.
Regarding his battle with Alucard, everyone tacitly avoided mentioning it. Marco presented the day's newspaper headline to Whitebeard.
After setting down a handled sake barrel, which was a barrel to most, but merely a large cup to him, Whitebeard squinted at the headline on the newspaper in Marco's hand. After a long moment, he said with narrowed eyes, "Ancient Weapons, huh? That Roger..."
Meanwhile, half a day later, sailing in the opposite direction from the Whitebeard Pirates, Alucard also received a copy of the day's newspaper from Roger. After finishing it, Alucard set the newspaper aside and asked indifferently, "So, what do you want to talk about?"
Roger sat across from Alucard. Beside them, the rest of the pirate crew huddled together, many shouting and jumping wildly. Rayleigh and Mogukun sat nearby, listening to the conversation between the two.
Upon hearing Alucard's question, Roger scratched the back of his head. "Don't you have any curiosity, kid? I was waiting for you to ask first."
"Forget it, Roger, you're not good at negotiations. Let me handle this," Rayleigh said to Alucard. "You went to Concordia Kingdom before, didn't you? You took that thing, correct?"
"Ah, that stone tablet, right? That's correct," Alucard stated bluntly. After all, it wasn't something worth hiding.
However, Alucard's straightforward honesty caught Rayleigh and the others off guard. After a long moment, Rayleigh cleared his throat. "That stone tablet records secrets about the World Government's creation, as well as the location of the Grand Line's final destination. According to our investigation over the years, there are a total of four. Three years ago, we found three of them. We learned about the fourth from Mogukun, but we didn't expect you to get there first."
"So?"
Rayleigh's gaze sharpened. "Of course, we want to ask you to let us see the contents of that Poneglyph. We want to reach the Grand Line's final destination; that's the dream of everyone in the Roger Pirates."
"But it's not my dream." Alucard tilted his head back, pouring an entire bottle of rum into his mouth, then looked at the Roger Pirates crew. "If you want it that badly, why not try to take it the pirate way?"
Upon hearing Alucard's words, the Roger Pirates' expressions instantly turned serious. The joyful atmosphere of celebration was immediately overshadowed by the gravitas of impending battle.
Before Roger could even respond, the voice of the navigator, Nozdon, suddenly came from the crow's nest. "Captain Roger! A large-scale fleet is approaching us from all directions!"
Nozdon looked through his telescope. "The number is... ten, no, twenty, no, thirty, forty... over forty pirate ships have suddenly appeared in the sea around us!"
"How is that possible?!" Buggy, who had just set down a chicken leg, shouted in disbelief. "How could so many ships appear near us so silently, without the captain or anyone noticing?"
"Is that even a question?" Roger gulped down an entire bottle of rum. "Who else could pull off something like this besides Shiki?"
The sea area where Alucard and the Roger Pirates were currently located was adjacent to the Lubloom Sea, named the "Edd War Sea"!
