"It is not good for the baby. That's why." She replied him calmly. She too asked the same question on the call with the doctor.

The following day, Lucas showed up at her house again, this time with some flowers. "Where is Rachel?" He asked removing his trench coat. The weather was a bit cold outside but inside the house it was much warm. He looked a bit formal than his regular outfits.

"She is getting ready for her school. The flowers are for her?" She asked curiously. "Yes they are for her....Can I meet her?" He answered her politely. Hearing his reply she was a little bit disappointed.

So these are for Rachel. Good, atleast he is making my daughter feel like a princess. But why I'm getting upset over this, it's not like he first time brought flowers for her.

Her excited face changed into a sulking one as she thought about all this, but she quickly hide it with a smile. Her small pout didn't go unnoticed by him as he laughed in his mind.

"Sure, why not? Why don't you join us for breakfast?" She asked him, inviting him in still maintaining a polite tone. "I would love to do that but I'm getting late. I just want to meet her." He replied her getting in the living room.

"Rachel look who came to meet you." She called for Rachel, who came with her bag in her hand. She dropped the bag as soon as she saw him and ran to hug his legs.

"Mr. Handsome!" She giggled when he bend down to her level. "Getting ready for school?" He asked an obvious question to which she nodded. Bella huffed at this. She just told him the same a few minutes ago.

"I brought some beautiful flowers for my princess." He said excitedly showing her the bouquet, which he hide behind his back when Rachel hugged him earlier.

"Wow.....they are so colourful. Right mumma?" She exclaimed amazed by the colours of the flowers. "Right baby." Bella answered with the same excitement. Her feelings of disappointment are long gone after seeing the interaction between them. Maybe it was just because of the harmones...she told herself.

"Thank you Mr. Handsome." She said getting the flowers. "Glad you like them... I'm getting late for an important meeting so I will see you both in evening." He told them getting up from his earlier position.

"It's alright. You have to leave fast to get there on time. And Rachel, your lunch box is on the dinning table, go keep it in your bag baby." She told both of them to which they both nodded and left in opposite directions. Her eyes crinkled at the corners, sparkling with delight as a wide grin lit up her face, seeing this.

She choose to see him off the door. After wearing his coat again he turned to find her looking at him with twinkling eyes. "All the best for the meeting." She wished him with a soft smile.

"Thank you....by the way, I got something for you." He said finding something in his inner pocket. Finally his face displayed happiness when he found it and took it out.

"A rose for you." He said extending his hand to her. This caught her totally off guard. One minute he brought a bouquet for her daughter and another minute he surprised her with this rose.

"Ah.... It's for me?" She asked after she regained her senses. He chuckled before answering gently. "I just said it is for you. Actually I thought of buying you a bouquet but I don't know much about flowers and your favourites too,so I bring only a... rose. You don't like it?"

"No it's beautiful. I love red roses. Thank you for your consideration. And also hope your meeting is successful." She took the rose from him, before smelling it's fragrance. A single red rose. But she find it more beautiful than the beautiful bouquet he brought. This rose told he didn't forgot her.

"Okay then, I will take my leave. Take care and if you need anything, just call me. Alright?" He told her with a serious tone. He always says this with so much seriousness and she knows he cares about her and the baby.

"I will. You too take care." She told him to which he nodded and turned to leave. She waited for him to leave but he suddenly turned back and looked at her. He moved closer to her, so close that their faces were just inches away. Bella was confused and just stood still.

After a few seconds of staring at each other, his hands moved towards her face. He gently touched her cheeks with his fingers. Bella flinched a little with his sudden touch. His fingers gently moved the hair, which were covering her face, behind her ears.

Bella thought he is just here to help with her hair but his next action shocked him. He again moved his face close to her lips, his hands circling around her waist gently hugging her. She didn't know what to do so she just close her eyes while her hands grabbed the rose tightly.

Bella felt his breaths coming more closer with each passing second. The fragrance of the flowers roam around the them. She braced herself for a kiss but she suddenly felt something on her forehead. He kissed her forehead. They stayed like that for some time before he backed away a little.

"Take care of yourself." He said with so much gentleness in his tone that she felt like she can listen him talk the entire day. She moved her eyes away from him and replied with a nod and hum.

Blush crept on her cheeks when she thought of what happened some minutes ago. She was still in his arms and this was not helping her at all. To think of what he told her and how she was expecting a kiss, she was embarrassed.

He removed his hands from her waist and placed his palm on her stomach. "Take care you too baby. Stay safe." He said to her flat belly and found her looking at him again. " I think the baby say, it will." She replied him in a baby voice which make him laugh. He looked cute when he laughs.

"Oh.....you might be really late for your meeting if you stay here longer." She reminded him of his meeting. He looked at the watch and groaned in frustration. "I wanted to spend a bit more time with you three but this is urgent. I will leave now."

They both bid their byes. She looked down at the rose again and smiled. He is trying to balance the relationship between them. He is trying to give equal love and care to both Bella and Rachel. This thought made her feel contended.
