"Oh! Hello to all of you." Adrian stated as he arrived back at the room where he created the pit to Hell.

Adrian appeared with a portal and all of the people in the room are stunned in place. The investigation was still ongoing to what happened in the room. Mages of the merchant guild could also be seen inspecting the walls to check if there are any more magic circles attached to them. The knights that are guarding the room have pointed their weapons at Adrian because he appeared via a portal.

"Lord of Avalon Equinox! You have returned. All of you need to lower down your weapons as that is very rude to our guest." The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated as he was the one supervising the inspection of the room.

All the knights immediately lowered their weapons and was even reprimanded when they were just doing their jobs. Adrian told them that they should be proud since they are doing their jobs perfectly. He also told the mages that the room is no longer riddled by magic circles as he destroyed them earlier when he overloaded them with mana. It is also one of the reasons why the spell of the Barrier Master has been released.

"They are just making sure that nothing else is placed. I am sure that you are very thorough, but they should at least show dedication to the guild as we are sponsoring them." The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild.

"What about the prisoner? Also, what happened to Piggy Bank?" Adrian asked.

"The prisoner is actually in our basement below. We have managed to get some information out of him but there are somethings that happened that are very unusual even for me. I think it is better to talk about it when we get there as Piggy Bank is also there along with High Wizard Dore." The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated.

"Lead the way then." Adrian stated as he followed the Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild.

"Once all of you are done, you can take a break and call for the repairmen. We need to clean up this room before the Grand Merchant Leader comes. This is one of his favorite rooms in the guild. If he ever sees it in such a destroyed state, then I will never hear the end of it." The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated.

"Yes, Vice Leader!" All of the people in the room answered.

The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild led Adrian to a series of doors where the floor became lower in elevation with each door they passed through. This was a peculiar way of hiding an underground jail cell and to also confuse anyone that breaks in or out. Adrian felt like they were going inside a maze, but his powerful perception of space made him remember all the pathways that they took.

"Apologies for the long winding road. This is the only way to deter some thieves from braking into our vault. The pathways we went to all lead to the underground cellar area where we are currently trying to have the barrier master spill any information that he knows.

We have some information that we managed to get using the 'truth serums' but it seems he is very resistant to drugs which is why he snaps out of it in under ten seconds. We cannot feed him the truth serums continuously as that would just make him retarded as a side effect. If that happens then all the valuable information that we need will be gone." The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated.

"If he dies then I can just use his soul to extract information. A soul will be more truthful than a living being. The only problem is the fact that his soul has some sort of seal on it. You can call it a Soul Seal as that is what it is usually called." Adrian stated.

"A Soul Seal! I thought only undead can use them since they no longer have mortal bodies. It is forbidden magic that is said to bind the soul of an undead to its deceased body. How could they use it against a living being?!" The Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild stated as even he did not know that all beings under this secret organization are mere pawns compared to the ones leading.

"You can manipulate a Soul Seal easily as it is like a vow made. It is like a covenant with the gods as they bless you in return for your faith to them. Still, whoever enhanced the Soul Seal to make it possible for humans should be someone that knows of souls. It might be the one that created the Living Dead body of Lady Goldenclaw." Adrian stated as he is about 70% certain that a powerful user of necromancy is on the enemy side.

Adrian and the Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild chatted a few minutes more and they finally arrived at the cellar door where the barrier master is being kept. The guards recognized the Vice Leader of the Merchant Guild and promptly opened the door upon the latter's request. Adrian simply followed inside and could see that Piggy Bank is doing some sort of ritual.

"Why are you crying?" Adrian suddenly asked as he could see that Piggy Bank was crying as he tossed gold coins towards the feet of the barrier master.

The gold coins would land next to the feet of the tied-up barrier master before vanishing into thin air. This is peculiar even for Adrian which is why he watched with such intrigue. At least he can see that Piggy Bank was not crying because he was hurt. Piggy Bank is crying because he was using money to generate a barrier around the hostage.
