Obsession's Edge: Alaska

Chapter 4: bab 4

With unsteady steps, Ivy continued to plead to be released, but the men in black suits showed no trace of pity. As if deaf to her cries, they dragged her silently, stopping only in front of the door to an opulent suite.

The door opened automatically with a soft click, revealing an interior radiating luxury. Before Ivy could say a word, a rough push sent her stumbling inside.

"Hey! What is this?!" Ivy shouted, turning back toward the now firmly shut door. She pounded on it with her fists, which were beginning to redden. "You can't do this! Let me out!"

Her voice echoed in the room, but there was no response. She tried the handle, twisting it forcefully, but it wouldn't budge. The electronic lock made it impossible to open without special access.

"Help!" Ivy screamed once more, but only silence answered.

Her pounding head caused her to turn involuntarily. Her gaze now swept across the spacious room filled with golden accents, luxurious leather sofas, and a grand crystal chandelier hanging magnificently overhead. A massive glass wall on one side displayed a stunning view of the city at night.

Ivy took a deep breath, too exhausted to keep yelling. Her eyes were drawn to the extravagance around her. Although she came from a wealthy family, she had never experienced comfort like this. Her own room at the Jade family home was little better than a servant's quarters.

"This place…" Ivy murmured, her eyes glinting with awe despite her confusion. "Who on earth does this belong to?"

Her gaze settled on a glass cabinet in the corner, filled with glittering bottles of various colorful liquids. One in particular caught her attention—a pink cocktail bottle with a label in a foreign language she couldn't understand.

"Hmm… looks sweet," she muttered to herself. The burning thirst in her throat overrode her better judgment. She grabbed the bottle and, without hesitation, drank its contents to the last drop.

"So sweet…" she whispered with a faint smile, savoring the soft, sweet taste of the drink.

But Ivy had no idea that the beverage she consumed was far from ordinary. The alluring pink cocktail was one of Alaska's personal creations—a deadly concoction designed not for casual enjoyment but as a subtle weapon to unravel the control of anyone who drank it.

The drink had extraordinarily potent effects. Even a small sip was enough to ignite a searing heat within the body. And Ivy, in her ignorance, had consumed every last drop.

At first, there was only the gentle sweetness on her tongue. But moments later, the sensation transformed into something entirely different. Heat began to spread through her body, starting from her fingertips and moving up her spine. Her breathing grew heavy, as if the air in the room had suddenly become scarce.

"W-what is this?" she whispered, her voice faltering. She stepped forward, but her legs felt weak. Staggering, she collapsed onto the plush bed.

"Hot… so hot…" Ivy mumbled, fanning her face with trembling hands. She stared at the ceiling with half-closed eyes, sweat beginning to bead on her skin.

Her body writhed slightly on the bed, trying to resist the overwhelming sensations she had never experienced before. "Why… why is it so hot? Is the AC broken?" she grumbled, still unaware of what was happening.

The more she moved, the worse the heat became. Her heart pounded furiously, and she bit her lip, trying to suppress the strange sensations intensifying within her.

Overwhelmed by the drink's effects, Ivy sought relief amidst the fiery waves engulfing her. Her trembling hands reached for her collar, and in a desperate move, she unbuttoned a few buttons, exposing her flushed skin beneath the dim light. Her breaths came in ragged gasps, her face as red as a blooming rose under the summer sun.

Suddenly, the sound of the door opening sharply echoed through the room. Ivy flinched slightly, but her eyes remained heavy and unfocused. Her body writhed on the bed, as if battling an invisible force.

Alaska stood in the doorway, his gaze as cold as ever. However, upon seeing the scene before him, his expression shifted slightly. He stared at Ivy's sprawled figure—her half-unbuttoned shirt, her sweat-glistened skin. Something stirred within him—a rare, unsettling urge.

With swift steps, Alaska shut the door behind him, ensuring no one outside could witness the sight. "What the hell is this?" he muttered under his breath, his voice almost a growl.

His gaze fell on the glass cabinet in the corner, its door ajar and one of the bottles empty, lying on the floor. Alaska ran a hand through his hair, frustration evident. "Damn it… you've really gotten yourself into trouble."

He pulled out his phone, intending to call one of his associates. Usually, in situations like this, Alaska would let his men handle it, ensuring he stayed uninvolved. For him, cleanliness and control were everything, and touching someone he deemed 'unworthy' was something he would never do.

But as his fingers hovered over the screen, his eyes were drawn back to Ivy. The girl now looked at him with a half-conscious gaze, her eyes filled with an unidentifiable longing. Her soft pink lips moved slightly as if trying to speak, but her voice was lost in her labored breathing.

Alaska took a step closer, unable to look away. He tried convincing himself that this was just a minor problem, something he could fix quickly. But the closer he got, the stronger the dark pull within him grew.

"Why… do you look like this?" he murmured, his voice barely audible.

His hand stopped inches from Ivy's face before he abruptly closed his phone. "Damn it!" he cursed in a low, harsh tone.

Alaska turned his gaze away, trying to steady himself. But curiosity and something darker inside him kept pulling him back toward the girl. The room, which had felt spacious before, now seemed to shrink, leaving just him and Ivy in an uncontrollable spiral.

Standing frozen, Alaska struggled to suppress the surge of emotions suddenly gripping him. His gaze returned to Ivy, who now seemed like a living trap—her flushed face, slightly parted lips, and bare shoulders glowing softly under the room's light. He swallowed hard, his throat dry.

"Control yourself, Alaska. She's just a filthy girl who got herself into trouble," he muttered, trying to convince himself. But the words felt like a blatant lie. His body wasn't listening to his mind; every step he took brought him closer to her.

As the distance between them closed, Ivy's scent reached him—soft, sweet, and intoxicating. Something inside him began to surrender to the dark urges threatening to consume him.

"What's your name, you foolish girl?" he growled lowly, his voice sharp like a hiss. He gripped Ivy's chin firmly, forcing her to look directly at him.

Ivy tried to squirm away, but her strength was no match for his. Her voice escaped her lips, not as a scream but as a soft, almost maddening sigh. "H-hot…" she whispered, pressing her face against Alaska's chest without hesitation.

The touch made Alaska's body stiffen. Ivy lifted her hand, placing it on his chest with slow but deliberate movements. "Here… it's cold. Ivy likes it," she murmured, her eyes half-closed.

Alaska froze. His breathing grew heavy, almost like a growl. It felt like a war was raging inside him; his logic screamed for him to push Ivy away, but his body moved on its own, defying his commands.

"Stop messing with me!" he barked, trying to shake himself—and the girl—out of this spell. But the words didn't sound like a threat. They sounded like a plea, as though he were begging himself to stop sinking into this vortex.

But Ivy, completely overtaken by the drink's effects, only became more unwittingly provocative. Her small hand touched his jaw, and with innocent boldness, she whispered, "You… you're handsome."

Those words made Alaska lose focus for a split second. He turned his face away, but Ivy's gaze stayed locked on him, like an irresistible magnet.

In the strange, suffocating silence, Alaska stood paralyzed, caught between sanity and temptation. Time seemed to stop, leaving only the two of them trapped in a whirlwind of uncontrollable emotions.
