Nucleus 1: The Dust of Moon [Mature Sci-fi Romance]

Schedule Update: Moving to Tue/Sat (and That 400 Follower Promise...)

Hey everyone,

I recently switched jobs, and while the pay bump is nice (gotta eat and pay for a living, after all), my work hours have...we can say they've expanded like Radi-Mons exposed to Helionite.

This means I need to adjust our release schedule. Instead of Tue/Fri, I'm moving to Tue/Sat. I know, I know - but hear me out. Friday nights I'm basically brain-dead from work, and I'd rather give you a properly polished chapter on Saturday when I'm actually functional than rush something out while half-asleep. Plus, my doctor keeps telling me I need more sleep (apparently writing until 3 AM isn't "healthy" or whatever).

So, about that 400 follower milestone...yeah, I'm gonna have to eat my words on the 3 chapters/week promise. Between the new job and trying not to die from exhaustion, it's just not happening. We're at 343 followers now, so when we hit 400, I'll figure out something else special for you all. Maybe a bonus interlude? More character art? A Q&A session? I'm open to suggestions.

Speaking of followers - I see you there, 343 of you, pretty cool.

But only 27 ratings? Come on, don't be shy. Even a quick rating helps offset that random drive-by 0.5 star someone dropped on the prologue (seriously, who does that?). If you're enjoying the story, let other potential readers know!

Look, I love writing Nucleus. We're heading into Acts 4 and 5 where shit gets REAL, and I refuse to rush it just to hit some arbitrary schedule. Quality over quantity, especially when we'll soon be dealing with Jabari finding out he has two [redacted for spoilers], Lorna getting [redacted again. This one will blow your mind] while Xin and Thomas stay with her all the way, meanwhile Dilinur realizes [definitely redacted] while finally meeting her [SUPER REDACTED].

So, there's plenty of pleasant surprises in the months to come. I'm not going anywhere. This story will be finished even if it kills me (which it might, but that's what Medi-Vap is for, right?). Just need to find a sustainable pace that works with, you know, actual life.

Thanks for sticking with me through 1,481 pages so far. Here's to many more, just...at a slightly more reasonable schedule, hey?

Regards,

Vel W

P.S. - Seriously though, if you have ideas for the 400 follower milestone that don't involve me writing extra chapters, drop them in the comments. My creativity is currently being consumed by the main story and figuring out how to make Skarn and his lieutenants even more disturbing, intimidating but fun to fight against - while giving our protagonists more cool ways to earn victory - and real character developement.
