Chapter 83: Seraphina, The Seventh Angel

The Seventh Angel felt an emotion flow through her that she had only experienced once in her life.

Fear.

Only King Helix is meant to make me feel this.

She watched as the flaming red form of Raphael stalked towards her, white and black blades burning in both hands.

So why?

Why am I frightened of this man?

"I'll give you the chance to surrender." The Dragon King said, twirling his weapons in his hands. "We can go back to my office and you can tell me all about this 'King of the North."

The Seventh Angel swallowed her nerves.

No. I can't surrender to this man. If I return home to King Helix without his head, then I'll be killed anyway.

She called on the Light of the Gods once again, though this time, her power formed in her palms.

Her birthright allowed her to manipulate this strange power into many different forms. One of her most powerful ones was the lightning, but since that didn't work, she needed to switch her approach.

She summoned a weapon into her hands.

A golden scythe gleaming with energy. The weapon stood taller than her height and enhanced her physical attributes in all areas.

Raphael looked at the woman, eyebrow raised beneath his helmet.

"I wouldn't have expected someone like you to use such a crude weapon." The man taunted, before dashing towards her.

The Seventh Angel was caught off guard by his speed, barely bringing her scythe up in time to defend against the strike.

Her arms were jarred by the force, and yet the man did not stop.

His strikes were relentless, yet calculated. Each swing of his sword changed trajectories and angles. She tried her best to block, but it was obvious that her combat prowess was not up to par.

If I keep up like this, I'll be killed!

She had to switch her approach again.

I'll have to transform...

Taking a large hop backwards, The Seventh Angel distanced herself from her opponent.

Raphael watched her with confusion, as she tossed her weapon to the side.

Just as he was about to take advantage of her defencelessness, the woman did something that completely took him by surprise.

She tore off her clothes.

Raphael watched as the woman's naked body stood before him, glistening in the moonlight. Her breasts were large, as he could tell, and her waist was thin and snatched.

The woman hardly cared about being nervous in front of him. There was clearly a reason for her actions, but Raphael had no clue what it was.

Then, her skin began to glow.

The Seventh Angel's skin began to radiate an even brighter gold, as though it were metal. The blonde braids of her hair came loose and began to flow above her head crazily.

Beneath her slanted eyes, tattoos began to form. Two black lines of strange ancient design. Her naked body seemed to become more curvy, as though she were mimicking the statue of the Goddess.

Raphael could not deny it. The woman looked Otherworldly. He had hardly seen somebody so beautiful before.

Is this her true form?

After her transformation was done, The Seventh Angel stood on the grass with a new air surrounding her. One of true power.

Raphael looked her up and down, her body still naked as if on display to him. But her face spoke only of violence.

The Dragon King let out a sigh.

"It seems I'll have to go all out on you as well." He said to her, though the woman had no idea what he was talking about. "But before I do, tell me your name."

The Seventh Angel watched the man carefully.

"I don't see why it's important, considering you're about to die, but I will tell you anyway."

She slammed a fist to her chest, causing her large breasts to jiggle.

"My name is Seraphina, the Seventh Angel of Helix. The King of the North."

Raphael nodded his head understandingly.

So that was his name. King Helix.

Why does he wish to kill me? Is it related to the death of Emperor Joshua Brunell?

...

Never mind. I can get answers from her afterwards. For now, let's focus on ending this battle.

Raphael called out to the White and Black dragons, preparing them for his next action.

Rachael. Naomi. Become one.

He lifted two swords into the air before slamming them together with force.

The flames of the dragon swords coalesced around each other before combining and becoming a weapon much greater than before.

Not only did they double in size, but their power increased by an unimaginable amount.

What was left, as a result, was a blade of black and white flames curling around each other, standing taller than Raphael himself.

The Ender.

The Dragon King hefted the blade in his two-handed grip, once again surprised at its miniscule weight.

Seraphina watched him, and as she sensed the power of the blade, her heart stopped in her chest.

Impossible. This strength!

I can't allow him to get any stronger. I must end this now!

The Seventh Angel vanished.

But Raphael sensed her.

He turned around with speed, to defend the palmed strike of the golden woman with his blade.

Their forces met, and Raphael was hardly pushed back. Seraphina stepped away and looked at her hands in awe.

I couldn't break his guard, even in my transformed state?

The Dragon King let out a fierce laugh as he pointed to the tip of his blade towards her.

Suddenly, a ball of power began to grow from it. Like the sword, the ball of energy was made from the black and white swirling flames and grew larger and stronger with every passing second.

"This strike cannot be blocked." The man said as he aimed his weapon steadily. "I will give you one last chance to surrender."

Seraphina watched as the attack grew in front of her. She wanted to run, as that's what her instincts told her to do.

But she couldn't.

Instead, the woman dashed towards Raphael, swerving side to side in hopes of dodging.

A frown crept onto the Dragon King's face.

I would've preferred not to attack her. I'd hate to damage such a beautiful body...

But he was left with no choice.

He kept his sights trained on her, and let the strike launch.

It was like a beam of energy, traveling towards the angel at blinding speed.

As she watched it release, she realised she had made a mistake.

There was no way she could dodge it. It was too fast.

The beam of white and black flames crashed into her stomach.

At first, it just felt like she had been punched incredibly hard.

But one glance down and she saw the hole that had been opened through her stomach and exited out of her back.

Seraphina, the Seventh Angel, fell to the ground, a bloody mess as her consciousness faded away from her.

Raphael let out a sigh before allowing the flames of his armour and sword to disappear, and then, he walked over to the fallen woman and placed his jacket over her naked body.

Afterwards, he lifted her onto his shoulders.

I'm sorry, Angel. But I did warn you.
