Chapter 60: Left Behind
The three sprinted through the crimson fields, travelling back the way that Raphael and Lillian had initially come by.
With every few steps, Raphael couldn't help but check behind him. Who knew when the Emperor would send guards or assassins to add them? Especially after realising his daughter was missing.
Hopefully, Joshua's done a good job at holding them off.
"H-how far left," Juniper said, hiking up her dress with her hands as she ran, being careful not to trip over it.
Lillian looked back at the woman lagging behind with anger in her face.
"What? We just started. We've still got a long way to go." The green-haired lady snarled, frustrated at the woman's weakness.
Only a few steps later, Raphael heard a thud.
He turned to see Juniper, collapsed onto her knees, drained of all her energy and unable to rise to her feet.
The woman had spent her entire life locked away in the palace, living the life of a noble.
Of course, she has no stamina.
Raphael turned back for her, but Lillian grabbed onto his shoulder, stopping him.
"Raphael, you can't help her. The slower we travel, the more likely we are to get caught."
The words made Raphael freeze. He knew that it was true, but he wondered whether he could truly just leave the woman there.
I wanted to keep her with us. It would have been good to have yet another member added to the harem.
He found her attractive as well, despite her stuck noble mannerisms.
"Please, Raphael. Y-you can't abandon me. I need to be with you."
"..."
Raphael and Lillian both started at the prostrated woman. It was hardly words that should be coming from the daughter of an emperor.
But the woman seemed to have no shame.
"After last night. The way you touched me. I don't think I can live without that. No man has made me feel that way before!" She cried desperately.
Lillian couldn't help but blush embarrassed.
Even though she had no idea that Raphael had done anything sexual with the woman, she understood her feelings.
Lillian felt the same after all. There was something about the way that Raphael's body felt that made him infinitely desirable. Once you were with him, it was hard to live without him.
She felt herself growing wet, simply from thinking about him.
Soon. She said to herself. You will get to feel his length again soon.
Raphael was left in a strange predicament, however, it did not take him long to come to his decision.
"Stay behind." He said coldly.
Juniper looked up at him, a look of despair thick on her face.
"W-what, no. I'm not out of breath anymore. I can continue-"
"I said stay behind."
Even Lillian was taken back for a moment by the man's harsh tone.
"This life isn't cut out of you, Juniper. If you come with me, you will be dragged into the chaos that follows me everywhere I go. Stay at home, where you are more comfortable."
He wasn't sure if he would regret the words later, but he had no other choice.
Without saying another word, Raphael turned away from her.
She tried to plead again, thinking back to last night and how Raphael had made her feel.
The way her body trembled violently from only his fingers. She dreamed of what his actual cock would feel like inside of her.
I can't let him leave me. I can't!
"But-"
"It wasn't a question, it was an order!"
His words were spat with so much venom that Juniper thought flames might jump from his mouth and burn her down.
And before she knew it, Raphael and Lillian were running again, leaving her behind to return back to the palace.
She felt broken inside, wishing for nothing more than to be brought along. She wanted to be with Raphael, but it seemed as though the fates hadn't favoured her.
The woman cried into her hands, before making her way back to the palace.
...
After a frantic journey, Raphael and Lillian made it back to the Five Schools without being pursued. Both were out of breath and drained of their energy. All they wanted to do was sleep.
Raphael thanked Lillian for coming with him on the journey and even planted a soft kiss on the woman's lips before parting ways and heading to his dorm to sleep.
...
It felt good being back in the Five Schools.
Whilst the luxury of the palace was good for the short time that he stayed there, Raphael felt more at home over here.
He believed it was because he one day hoped to rule over the schools. With every new ounce of strength gained, the goal seemed closer to reach.
Especially now that he had Violetta inside of him. He still burned to try out the new powers that he felt within his body.
He remembered the blast of power that he felt from Christopher. The way he walked in the air using his flames to aid his steps, and the giant red Warhammer he had created out of flames.
He wondered what new heights he could reach with Violetta, Naomi, and Rachael all inside of his body at once.
But first, he had matters to attend to.
He needed to visit the queens.
Raphael knocked on Harmony's door and was invited inside.
As the Rose Queen laid eyes on him, he noticed her expression change instantly. She was happy to see him.
At the desk with her was Maria, The Phoenix Queen. Who's face was filled with surprise.
It felt like it had been forever since he had seen the two beauties, but it had only been a few days.
"You're back from your journey so soon?" Maria asked as Raphael made his way over to sit around the desk with them. "And where is Joshua?"
The way the two queens watched him made Raphael feel powerful. There was such heavy anticipation in their eyes as they waited for him, as though he were a legend retelling his life's tales.
Finally, able to look back on the situation, Raphael sighed, before smiling to himself.
"There are bigger things to worry about than Joshua." He said, before letting his words hang in the air to increase the tension.
The two women were leaning out of their seats with anxiety.
"You were right, a War is definitely coming. And I might have been it's cause."
