Chapter 205: You Look Nothing Like Grandma at All!
When they arrived at the beach house, they noticed a young beauty lying down on the sun lounger in front of them. She was sunbathing under the sunlight in just a string bikini, giving them all an eyeful of her sexy body.
Her hair color matched Jasmine's—black in color—and she had a pair of dark sunglasses covering her face, which hid her eyes away. Her skin was pale and smooth, which reminded Oliver of snow.
From top to bottom, every inch of her body seemed to be covered in a glistening liquid, as if she had applied sunscreen just moments ago.
"Roma! Could you get up, please?" Jasmine called out to the young beauty in a stern tone, sounding annoyed as well. "We've got guests here. Your laziness isn't good at all. Stop lying around and greet them like a proper person!"
The beauty named Roma stirred around before sitting upright on her sun lounger with a bored expression written on her beautiful face. Then she slowly stood up while taking off her sunglasses to reveal her crimson red eyes.
"Ummm... Hello. Nice meeting you all." She muttered while still looking rather drowsy, clearly not interested in welcoming their guests in any way possible.
Jane's face became stiff at the young lady's uninterested attitude towards them. Yet, she managed to retain a polite smile on her face while replying, "I'm sorry, sweetie. It seems that we disturbed your sleep here. You can go back to napping if you want."
"It's fine." Roma yawned before stretching out her arms and back muscles, showing off her ample assets inside of her bikini top. "I thought that Grandma would come over too, but I don't see her here. Guess I was wrong."
Then she looked at everyone with her head tilted sideways, trying to recognize them all. "Hmmm... You must be Uncle Adam... So I guess this woman here next to you is your wife, Aunt Mia..."
After pausing for a moment, she glanced at Oliver and continued speaking, "Which means this guy next to her must be your son. Right? That means... You're my cousin Oliver, right?"
"Ahhhh... Yes, that's right." Oliver nodded with a smile. "It's nice to meet you."
But Roma ignored his polite gesture and instead turned towards Jane with a confused expression on her face. "Then who are you, lady? Dad didn't mention having a sister or anything like that."
Jane started laughing heartily at her words before answering in an amused voice.
"Oh my... Don't say something embarrassing like that, dear. I'm Jane, your grandmother. I'm sure Henry already told you about me!" She explained with a smile.
Roma widened her eyes upon hearing that response. She stared directly into Jane's eyes while continuing to talk. "Are you serious? You look nothing like Grandma at all!"
Jasmine couldn't help but facepalm hearing her response.
"I'm sorry about her behavior. She's very blunt about everything." Jasmine explained with an apologetic smile. She couldn't help but glare at Roma in annoyance for a bit, thinking in her heart, 'Why couldn't you act more decent?'
"It's okay. At least she speaks her mind!" Jane chuckled before turning back towards Roma. "Anyway, it's nice to meet you, dear. I wish I could've met you much earlier, though."
"Hmmm... Likewise. Nice meeting you too, Grandma." Roma answered, smiling in response to Jane's words. Although she still found it hard to believe that the woman in front of her was her real grandmother. She expected someone much older and not so attractive as her.
With that said, everyone entered inside of the beach house, where a delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen. It smelled like someone was cooking something amazing.
The smell became even stronger once they reached the kitchen, where a tall, muscular middle-aged man with dark hair stood next to the stove while stirring something in a pot. He was bare-chested, displaying his well-toned abs and arms covered with various tattoos.
The man noticed their presence after hearing their footsteps and looked at them with a surprised expression on his face. "Oh, wow! You guys are already here? Sorry for not being able to welcome you guys myself. I was preparing a delicious meal to welcome all of you!"
Jane's eyes lit up upon seeing the muscular guy. She rushed towards him and gave him a huge hug. "Oooohhhh Henry! How have you been, sweetie? I haven't seen you in forever!"
Henry returned Jane's embrace before pulling away and responding with a chuckle. "Hahaha. I've been fine, Mom... Just like always. And it looks like you haven't changed one bit! I see you're still a beauty like always."
"If you hadn't decided to have this family reunion now, I would've become a dried-up old hag by the time we meet again..." She replied, half-serious and half-joking.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I know I've been away for a while and didn't visit you guys for years. Still, it's not too late to start making up for those lost moments, right?" Henry apologized with a smile on his face.
Jane smiled back at her son, glad that he's still the same loving son she knew ever since he was little. "It's alright. Just promise me that we won't keep apart from each other from now on, okay?"
"Of course. I promise, Mom." Henry gave Jane another tight hug after hearing her words.
Meanwhile, Mia stared at the muscular, tattooed man before turning towards Adam and whispering to him, "Wow... Your brother is really ripped. He's like a super hot version of you, you know."
Adam gave Mia a stern look after hearing her words. "Please don't tell me that you're thinking about doing that with him or something. He's about to get married soon. If anything happens between you two... things could become ugly real quick."
"Come on! I'm just praising him because he looks good, okay? Don't get the wrong idea. My heart and body belong to Oliver, after all." She explained, defending herself against Adam's words.
Adam frowned upon hearing Mia's words. "Oliver? I thought as your husband it was me whom you belonged to."
"Oh no, darling. You're forgetting one crucial detail: you let him have your precious wife all by yourself, so now I belong to him! You remember what you said at the time, right?" Mia replied back with a smug look on her face.
Adam fell silent upon hearing that retort. He was reminded once again how he gave permission for Oliver and Mia to make love with each other back then. To take up his role as husband to satisfy his wife when he himself was unable to do so.
Even so, it didn't mean that Adam would let go of Mia just like this. But when he saw her teasing grin, he knew she was having fun at his expense again, so he just shook his head with a sigh. "Whatever. It doesn't matter whether you belong to Oliver or me anyway. I'll still love you no matter what."
Mia kissed Adam on the lips after hearing those words. "Hehe, don't worry. I'm just teasing you. But you should know that Oliver is always first in my heart! After all, a mother's love is stronger than any other love ever, no matter what the relationship."
"I'll keep that in mind." Adam muttered before turning towards Henry. "So are you going to keep ignoring your brother or what?"
