Chapter 83: My Woman

"I'm sorry sir but most of our rooms are currently undergoing maintenance," The receptionist sitting behind the counter said, blushing as she spoke to the handsome Yohan.

He groaned in frustration, "So does that mean I can't get a room?"

"Yes sir, all our other available rooms are fully booked…"

'shit, it just has to be today of all days' he sighed,

"But if you wait for a bit, I'm sure I can find you something," The girl said nicely.

Yohan considered it, "Okay, I'll come back in a few minutes,"

He went to the restaurant in the hotel, where Vivian was seated, nervously waiting for him.

"We'd have to wait for a bit," he said as he sat at the other side of the small table.

"Yohan we can't do that, there are people all around someone might recognize us" she said worriedly.

"Doing what? Eating?" He asked, "There's no crime against eating at a restaurant,"

He picked up the menu from the table, like usual the food in hotels cost a lot, but this one was even more expensive than normal.

Vivian also did the same trying to act natural but when she saw the prices of the food her eyes widened.

"Yohan I can't buy anything here, they are far too expensive," she said,

"Don't worry, just order anything, I'll pay," he said casually.

Vivian was surprised, it was then she realized that Yohan hadn't even asked for money when he went to pay for the room. Being the adult between the two of them, she felt he would shift all the responsibilities to her but here he was doing the direct opposite.

"O-okay," she said,

Yohan called for the waiter then they ordered their meal. The waiter brought it along with an expensive bottle of wine.

"How's your meal?" Yohan asked, taking a sip from his glass.

"It's good," she replied, before cutting another piece of steak.

Vivian was slowly starting to get comfortable as she ate. She began to observe her surroundings, noticing everything she had missed earlier.

The first thing she realized was that this hotel must be incredibly expensive. The restaurant gleamed with polished marble floors and chandeliers that sparkled like captured stars. Every table was dressed in crisp white linens, paired with crystal glasses that reflected the golden light.

The lobby opened into vast lounging areas with plush velvet chairs, golden-trimmed pillars, and fresh flower arrangements that filled the air with a subtle, sweet fragrance. Even the soft hush of the staff moving about carried an elegance that spoke of wealth.

Not only that, but the guests present all looked so wealthy and refined.

"Yohan, why did you bring us to such an expensive place?" She asked with concern

"I already told you it's fine, you should just eat your food,"

Still she couldn't help it, "Don't you know, it's not a good idea to waste money like this,"

Yohan sighed, "I choose this place because I want you to be able to relax. Look around, do you think anyone can recognize you in a place like this?"

She took a quick glance realizing he was right, these people were way above her tax bracket. The chances of running into someone she knew in a place like this was extremely slim. Her husband and her didn't even have that many rich friends.

"This way, you won't have to worry about anything. You can just be my woman." Yohan's words carried an easy confidence as he gave her his usual charming smile. His hand slid over hers, warm and steady, sending a shiver through her chest that she couldn't quite hide.

For the first time Vivian felt her heartbeat faster because of Yohan.

'This child…' her face flushed pink. 'What is he trying to do?' she wondered while taking a sip of her wine.

She was curious on how much he had for him to even bring her to a place like this, or why he was even willing to spend so much on her.

'My husband would never do something like this' she sighed.

'It's almost as if we are on an actual date' it was a weird experience to be here with Yohan, but at the same time she couldn't deny how good she was feeling.

Sitting across from him in the restaurant, she felt a rush of excitement she hadn't experienced in years. The polished silverware, the soft music, and the way the waiters moved with quiet grace made her feel like she was part of something rare and precious.

At home, meals were routine, swallowed between chores and silence, but here she felt seen and desired under his gaze. Even though she was married, the luxurious setting made the evening with Yohan feel like stolen magic, a dangerous indulgence she couldn't resist.

She glanced at the time on her phone—it was getting late, but worry never crossed her mind. These days her husband hardly came home before midnight, too busy drowning himself in alcohol.

There was no need to rush back, no meal waiting to be cooked, no one expecting her presence. For once, she allowed herself the freedom to linger.

"Excuse me?" A female voice called out, "Do I know you from somewhere?"

Hearing those words from a woman standing behind her, immediately shattered Vivian's brief moment of peace.

Despair was almost starting to set in before Yohan addressed the woman.

"Yes ma'am," he replied, recognizing the woman immediately, "I'm Yohan, I used to come to your house often,"

"Yohan?" She furrowed her brows, finding it difficult to accept, "Freddie's little friend?"

"Yes Mrs Michael," he got up and offered her a handshake,

"Oh my goodness, you have grown a lot," ignoring his hand and wrapping her arms around him, hugging him excitedly.

"I haven't seen you for almost two years now, what happened?" She asked with concern before noticing the woman Yohan was seated with.

"It seems I'm interrupting your meal, why don't you introduce me to your mom,"

Yohan chuckled, "Ma'am don't be mistaken, this isn't my mom,

"Oh I'm sorry, is she your elder sister or your Auntie…?"

"No ma'am, this is my woman," he said proudly.
