Chapter 233: The Last Death God
Leo was sitting on his balcony after leaving the women's impromptu tea party. He now realized most of his women were pregnant. The world was peaceful thanks to his conquering every empire and kingdom, prompting the races to stop their petty arguments. Now, everyone was thriving.
He observed the city sprawling around his palace, swelling with each passing day. Builders raised homes that stretched beyond the horizon, while the army's ranks thickened relentlessly. Leo ensured a steady supply of monstrous threats to keep the populace on edge. He unleashed a captured beast, crowned as the Monster King, to ignite fear and rally the people to battle.
None of the harem knew it was him behind the upcoming threat, but when they came with questions, he brushed them off, saying he was tired of fighting and would leave it to the people unless it became too much. This pleased the worried women. Just then, the Monster King's voice echoed in his mind.
'My Lord. We're ready to attack the northern Demon city,'' it revealed. ''Are you sure about this? There are thousands of people there.'
Leo shrugged. 'Try not kill too many, let's just have them push your horde back as a show of force,' he ordered.
The Monster King quickly agreed, just as he sipped some Dragon Ale that the dragons of the west delivered to him. He now sat back and waited for his children to be born while the army rushed north to deal with the growing threat. Leo would rush in and save the day if they couldn't fight back.
Months passed by, and the monster hordes grew larger, prompting the Monster King to grow overconfident, breaking the pact they had made. This pissed Leo off, but he decided to kill the beast whenever he appeared. He was spending more time with the harem, thanks to giving birth soon.
By the time it became a problem, Roxy was nearly due to give birth, giving Leo little time to deal with the growing threat of his creation. Without waiting, he teleported to the city that they were trying to destroy. That's when he felt the Monster King's aura from where he was and rushed toward it.
Whenever a monster tried to get in the way, it was destroyed thanks to his magic, and when he came close to the horde's boss, he instantly decapitated it with one swipe, leaving everyone who witnessed it shocked. Leo chuckled at its quick death; the beast believed it could stand up to him.
Leo held her hand tightly, his mana flowing steadily to dull her pain as she gritted her teeth through another contraction. The room buzzed with quiet urgency, maids moving, their soft murmurs blending with Roxy's labored breaths. The elder Elf maid stood at the foot of the bed, her steady voice guiding her ''Push, my lady. Almost there.''
Roxy's face contorted, a final cry escaping her lips as she gave one last push. The room fell silent for a heartbeat, then a newborn wail pierced the air. Leo's eyes widened as the elder maid lifted a tiny, squirming bundle wrapped in a soft cloth. ''A girl,'' she announced, her voice softening with a rare warmth.
Leo leaned closer, his heart pounding as he caught sight of the baby. She had a shock of fine white hair, glimmering like moonlight, and when her eyes fluttered open, they were a vivid green, sparkling with an almost otherworldly clarity. Roxy, panting and slick with sweat, managed a weak smile as she reached out.
''She's… perfect,'' she whispered, her tone hoarse but filled with love.
The maids carefully placed the baby in Roxy's arms, and Leo brushed a strand of damp hair from his wife's face, marveling at the tiny life between them. But Roxy's grip slackened, her eyelids fluttering as exhaustion claimed her. Her head lolled back against the pillow, and the baby nearly slipped from her arms.
He caught the infant just in time, cradling her gently as the maids rushed forward. ''She's just worn out, my lord,'' the elder Elf reassured, checking the tanned woman's pulse. ''She'll be fine after some rest. It was a hard labor.''
Leo nodded, his gaze shifting between his unconscious lover and the fragile, wide-eyed girl in his arms. The baby's green eyes locked onto his, and a strange warmth bloomed in his chest, a fierce, protective instinct unlike anything he'd felt before. He pressed a soft kiss to the infant's forehead, whispering. ''Welcome, little one.''
The baby let out a soft, gurgling babble, her fluffy white hair bouncing with each tiny movement, coaxing a warm smile from Leo's lips. He gently tapped her tiny nose, chuckling as her bright green eyes sparkled up at him. ''You'll be Amelia,'' he murmured. ''After Roxy's grandmother. That'll make your mama smile.''
Roxy remained still, lost in a deep, exhausted sleep, but Leo stayed by her side, cradling their daughter. Amelia's tiny fingers curled around his, gripping with surprising strength. He was utterly captivated, lost in the quiet wonder of her gaze, unaware that his lover's eyes had fluttered open.
From the bed, she watched them silently, her heart swelling at the sight of Leo and their daughter, a faint smile tugging at her lips. The baby cooed, her tiny hand clutching his finger, and Leo's face softened with a warmth Roxy had rarely seen. Her voice, though weak from exhaustion, broke the quiet. ''You're gonna be an amazing father to our kids, babe.''
He froze, head snapping up to meet her eyes, a flush of surprise and joy spreading across his face. A broad, unguarded smile broke through, crinkling the corners of his eyes. ''You think so?'' he asked, voice soft but brimming with pride, as he shifted Amelia carefully and leaned closer to Roxy, their daughter nestled between them.
''Who would've thought the handsome playboy could look at anyone with so much love in their eyes?'' she revealed. ''Ever since seeing her, you've changed, your smile, and more importantly, you look happy.''
Leo couldn't help but smile at her words as he fully agreed. ''My grandfather always said fatherhood changes a man, but I never believed him until meeting Amelia here, she's your double, Rox, just with my pale skin but your gorgeous green eyes.''
Roxy wasn't listening as she heard the name she loved, only for her gaze to drop to their daughter. ''You named her after my nana?''
''Yes, it's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl,'' he answered honestly. ''Plus it's a way to honor the woman who raised you.''
When the young woman heard this, tears spilled from her eyes as she leaned in and hugged him, only for Dark to burst into the room, announcing. ''Leo! Bella, Luna, and Ysella are giving birth!''
Just then, a dark aura washed over the palace, chilling everyone's blood but Leo's, who knew exactly who this was. He looked at the goddess with a rage-filled expression. ''Make sure the girls stay safe, Dark. I'll deal with the Death God.''
Leo vanished only to reappear above the palace to confront the enemy, who was shocked by his sudden appearance. Without waiting, he landed a powerful punch against the being's chest, and a loud clap echoed out as it was sent flying by the attack. He wouldn't leave it there and rushed after the confused deity.
High above the Palace, a battle raged, the final clash that would decide the fate of the world. The skies churned with storm clouds, streaked with flashes of crimson and violet as celestial forces collided in a symphony of chaos and power. Amid this apocalyptic tumult, within the chambers of the palace, Bella, Luna, and Ysella endured childbirth, their cries mingling with the distant roars of war.
Each woman, strong in her own right, bore the weight of creation even as destruction loomed overhead. Roxy, confined to her bed yet stubborn in spirit, refused to be separated from them in this sacred moment. With a voice steady despite her weakness, she commanded the maids to wheel her bed through the marble corridors to the chamber where her friends labored.
The maids, their faces etched with both fear and resolve, obeyed, guiding her bed to rest beside the others. There, surrounded by the soft glow of candlelight and the tender strength of their bond, Roxy reached out to clasp the hands of Bella, Luna, and Ysella, sharing in the miracle of their newborns' first breaths as the world outside trembled on the brink of ruin.
Leo battled against the Death God using powerful magic that would destroy worlds, but the deity deflected the attack, forcing him to cancel it. With that in mind, he charged forward, ready to fight hand-to-hand. When his fist collided with the enemy, they were both sent flying back.
He gained control quickly before rushing forward and activating one of his skills he hadn't used in a while. 'Supernova Punch!'
This time, when his fist struck, the Death God was sent flying with a busted arm as it crashed into a nearby mountain.
