Chapter 69: Removing One Layer of the Curse Successfully
Bloom just shrugged his shoulders with no care. "I said I was cursed, so just display the info for me now," he muttered as he investigated the gear he was wearing.
And what he just saw greatly surprised him.
"Grode chest plate: Weapon wilders only.
Part of the Grode gear set.
Grade silver 'Locked and cursed'.
No level required.
A cursed chest plate, cursed by the shrines.
Bound to player Bloom only. Can't be dropped, can't be traded.
No one allying to any shrine can wear it. The chest plate is cursed, so its stats are reduced and its grade is demolished. The chest plate is locked currently under the requirement of its previous owner.
To unlock the chest plate lock player needs to have two curses from the shrines at least.
To relieve the ten layered curse; player has to get the curses of all of them, plus donating a certain amount of curse coins determined by the shrine that cursed the player.
Player had a death shrine curse and a life shrine curse. Player can choose to use both of the curses to unlock two layers of the curse, or he can choose one shrine only.
Current grade stats: Res +20."
Bloom read the description of the gear, added to it the new points regarding more details about the curse. "That's amazing, so this gear here is cursed and locked! Both!!" he was inwardly amazed by this fact, especially the number of curses exerted upon this gear.
"So I can choose either death shrine and life shrine, for sure I will go with the death shrine curse," he muttered as he noticed the presence of two options at the bottom of the gear description; unlock and unseal.
"Let's unlock it first," he said, as he chose the unlock option, to receive a system notification instantly.
"System alert: Player chose to unlock the Gored gear lock. Player has the curses of two shrines already, so the player is eligible to unlock it. unlock time needs twenty four hours to finish."
At once a small digital clock appeared in the gear page, and the counter started from twenty four plus four zeros, then the counter started to descend.
"Twenty four hours, sigh, I couldn't use it then to face the merchant caravans," he shook his head in regret, before choosing the unseal option.
And a series of system notifications just kicked in.
"System alert: Player chose to unseal the Gored gear seal. The seal is made of ten layers, each layer can be unlocked at ten level intervals. Player must have at least one shrine curse to unlock the seal."
"System alert: Player has two shrine curses, death shrine curse and life shrine curse. Which curse does the player intend to use? Please note that you can use only one curse at a time to unlock the seal."
Bloom didn't delay as he instantly replied:
"I choose the death shrine curse."
"System alert: Player is at level ten. The death shrine curse is used to unlock the level ten layer of the seal. Player needs to pay one hundred death souls to unlock the seal. Does the player want to pay them now?"
Bloom suddenly understood the meaning behind the description of the gear seal. Any shrine he would select he would have to pay its corresponding currency.
"I'm lucky then I have stored over six hundred death souls before coming here," he smirked evilly as he hurriedly replied:
"Yes, pay them now."
"System alert: one hundred death souls have been consumed by the gear. To unlock other shrine curses, please select the unseal choice again."
Bloom hurriedly glanced at the info page of the chest plate opened in front of him, and the description there got a great change indeed.
"Interesting, hahaha," he laughed in the middle of this empty hall, as he already had gotten something nice, very nice indeed.
