Chapter 464
A high school classroom.
In the midst of a break, right after class ended.
As expected with students brimming with energy, the classroom was alive with a noise level that could be described as chaotic.
“Hey, yesterday…”
“Really? But this time…”
In the brief 10-minute break, each student was busy spewing out what they wanted to say.
“Hey, look over there!”
One student sitting by the window yelled, and, driven by curiosity, the other students flocked over.
“What is it?”
“Don’t tell me it’s nothing big.”
Since this student was known for being overly dramatic, the others around thought it was just another trivial matter, but that day was different.
“The security guard is fighting!”
“Really? Who’s he fighting?”
It was because, right at the school gate, the security guard was struggling with someone.
Though it was too far to see clearly, it was apparent that the man fighting the security guard was moving vigorously.
“Shouldn’t we call the cops?”
“Is the security guard okay?”
“Get a teacher!”
As befitting students, they were buzzing around without fully grasping the situation.
“Ahhh!”
“What, what is that?”
From outside the school, more people began to swarm and tackle the security guard.
“No way…”
“What the heck is going on?”
If it were just one person fighting the guard, it would seem like just some crazy guy, but as more and more joined in, the students couldn’t hide their panic.
“Uh, uh?”
“They’re coming this way!”
And eventually…
Once the security guard had fallen completely, those who had tackled him began to charge toward the main building of the school.
“Shouldn’t we call for help?”
“Uh… I’ll try.”
“Go get the teacher!”
As chaos reigned by the window…
In the very back of the classroom, a girl, looking fierce enough that regular students wouldn’t want to approach, was sitting cross-legged and tapping away on her phone.
“What are you looking at?”
Next to her, a boy approached her without hesitation, dragging a chair to sit beside her.
“My friend sent this. Apparently, they’re shooting a movie around here?”
Despite the intimidating atmosphere, Yeon-ah smiled as she showed her phone.
On her screen were clips of people running around on the street in battle gear, echoing a sense of chaos.
“Isn’t this serious?”
Seeing the video, the boy, Namgoong-won, was taken aback, but Yeon-ah nonchalantly lowered her phone.
“If it were serious, the police would’ve come.”
Both were exceptional outliers in class.
While other students were buzzing around the window, they were comfortably chatting with one another.
Time passed, and as school break was nearing its end…
Bam!
The front door of the classroom flew open, and the homeroom teacher stepped inside.
Normally, she would have yelled at the students to sit down upon seeing the mess, but today—
“Kids, evacuate!”
With an unusually frantic voice, she shouted.
Shortly after…
“Run… ah!”
Crash!
“Ahhh!”
A man crashed into the homeroom teacher from behind and fell over, creating chaos at the teacher’s desk.
At that moment, Yeon-ah finally set down her phone and blinked wide-eyed.
“What, what is going on?”
Later on, as time passed, Yeon-ah would recall this moment as the time when her peaceful daily life shattered, and the world became a hellish nightmare.
**
“Great job, everyone!”
The shoot for the past scene, serving as a test, had wrapped up.
“Thanks for your hard work!”
“Yes, yes.”
It had been a short filming session, so it wasn’t too exhausting.
Since we were testing the waters, it could easily be reshot if needed.
Anyway, now that filming was done, I was trying to leave the set when…
“Hey.”
“Oh…”
I bumped into Kang Yun-sung, who had just filmed a scene with me.
“Thank you for your hard work.”
“Ah, yes…”
It was a bit awkward.
Just as I had altered my uniform necktie to fit me better, Kang Yun-sung looked equally uncomfortable in his outfit.
He had acted really well during filming, but facing each other like this made for a rather daunting atmosphere.
“Oh~ with both of you standing there, it’s like a perfect picture.”
Regardless of how troubled we looked, the director strolled over, chuckling as he gave us a thumbs up.
Well, he must’ve liked it… honestly, we looked pretty good together.
I figured just our presence alone would grab some attention.
Not to mention, Kang Yun-sung was an incredibly popular idol.
Famous enough to fill venues on his world tour, and notably handsome as well.
“Um, I’ll head to the changing room first.”
“Yes… me too.”
We were just two awkward beings right now, but oh, I really needed to change soon.
The uniform was fitting well enough, but still, it wasn’t the most comfortable attire.
After swapping into my regular clothes in the changing room, I felt at ease.
Finally, it felt like Lee Yeon-ah was transformed back from Kim Soo-hyun.
“Ah, Soo-hyun, here you are.”
As I stepped outside feeling relaxed, I stumbled upon Park Kang-seok.
“Yes, let’s head back.”
Although the time spent in the set was short, I was ready to leave after checking everything out and completing the shoot.
Just a quick workout at the gym and then off to shooting an ad.
Despite the festival ending, I had reduced my workout frequency, I was still keeping consistent.
After all, what the ad company wanted was my look during the festival.
I planned to maintain that for a while.
After greeting everyone at the set, I headed straight to the gym.
“We’ve arrived.”
“Yeah, how long do we want to work out today?”
“We have another schedule, so let’s keep it to about an hour.”
“Sure.”
Arriving at the gym…
As usual, I made my way to the changing room.
Slipping into workout attire, I took a quick look in the mirror.
Satisfied with my usual fit, I nodded and stepped outside, spotting Park Kang-seok and a man next to him.
“You’re here again today?”
“Oh yeah, you arrived early.”
It was none other than Moon Chang-sik, who had been working out with me more frequently lately.
We didn’t even schedule it; it felt like he lived at the gym since every time I went five times, he was already there two to three times.
I heard he was hitting it hard for his next shoot.
I doubted there was much he could do from here.
“You had a shoot, right? How did it go?”
“Yeah, well… it was short since it was the first shoot.”
Moon Chang-sik was wearing the same workout clothes as me, which I had given him as a gift after the fashion magazine shoot.
We often worked out together, and he took to wearing the clothes I gifted him.
Of course, Park Kang-seok also wore what I gave him.
Seeing friends wear what I gave them gave me a little pride.
Brands sending me clothes for sharing sponsorships must feel similarly.
Soon, I planned to give some to members of the Celestial Realm as well.
Now that we were in detailed planning stages for the concert, we’d probably meet for a meeting soon.
“I’m going to go run for a bit.”
“Sure, go ahead.”
Well, I had come here to work out, so I hopped on the treadmill first.
I popped in my earbuds.
Today, I pondered what song to listen to while running.
I wanted to switch things up from the songs of Celestial Realm since I’ve heard them too much.
After a moment of contemplation, I decided to play a familiar Slim Gold track.
That music was pretty nice.
As I jogged while listening to the song, I was reminded of Hyeon-su, who enlisted last month.
I had gone with the band members to see him off at the training center, and that was a memorable moment.
He must be adjusting well by now, right?
Since he’s quite the social butterfly, I trust he’s getting along well with his colleagues.
Amidst my thoughts while jogging on the treadmill, my aerobic time ended, and I pulled out my earbuds, turning back to see two guys working out hard.
“Just one more!”
“Huff… huff…”
“…Ugh.”
What are those two guys doing?
It was always… their grunting sounds while helping each other out made it awkward just to witness.
“Ah, Soo-hyun, are you done?”
“Ah, yeah… keep going.”
While Park Kang-seok was getting adjustments from Moon Chang-sik, he noticed me, but he frowned and headed toward a different workout machine.
Now, I was able to work out alone as well.
Plus, since we agreed on just one hour today, I planned to pace myself accordingly.
“Ugh!”
“Just one more!”
…Park Kang-seok seemed to have a different mindset.
But seeing him squeezing out every rep to utilize the hour well made me think that overdoing it at the gym can be dangerous.
When we first started hitting the gym together, he wasn’t like this.
Now that I can handle things on my own, he’s been serious about his regimen.
Particularly on days like today when Moon Chang-sik is around, he lets loose and works hard.
And since he’s doing his managerial duties well, I can’t really say anything.
After finishing my workout, I followed the schedule to the ad shoot location.
“We’ve arrived.”
Gone was the sweat-drenched gym monster in workout clothes, Park Kang-seok was back to manager mode.
Lead by Park Kang-seok, I entered the ad set, finding a well-prepared scene for the shoot.
“Ah, welcome!”
“Hello!”
Today’s shoot was for some zero-calorie drink ad, and it was simply a matter of drinking and saying a few lines, so we wrapped up quickly.
Soon after, it was off home, and just like that, another fulfilling day concluded.
“Ha.”
I felt a sense of pride in how busily I had spun around my daily routine.
Am I not a diligent entertainer?
Juggling acting, workouts, and ads all in one day.
As I praised my diligence, I changed into comfortable clothes, then grabbed a drink sent over from the zero-calorie company and headed to the soundproof booth.
I hadn’t done a broadcast yesterday.
So today, I needed to make it happen.
Moreover, it was time to wrap up the long zombie survival saga.
After swiftly setting up the broadcast, I turned it on.
[Last Day of Survival]
With Kim Soo-hyun’s day winding down, it was now time to kick off the day of virtual YouTuber Miro.
