Chapter 448
– What the hell, giving away stuff?
– What’s the nonsense now?
My festival declaration had the chat buzzing.
Was it a bit sudden?
But since everyone’s gathered, might as well do something.
“Now, the goods aren’t just giveaways; they’re festival prizes.”
I can’t just let the stories lose their meaning, so we can draw lots right here.
“I’ll pick based on the stories. Everyone, join in, go go go!”
– LOL
– Oh come on, haha.
– But what’s going on?
“What’s going on? We have to kill each other.”
– Hahahahahaha
– What a jerk…
– Can I still join with the dude fandom??
– Ahahaha
It’s not like we’re actually fighting in real life.
We can just do a light-hearted, one-time thing, right?
And honestly, fighting over goods between fandoms sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Even now, applicants are pouring in real-time.
“Ah, when you join, please verify you’re a fan. Don’t try to sneak in just to grab some goods.”
– LOL
– Is that not okay?
– I’ll delete my post.
“… You guys aren’t seriously doing that, right?”
– Haha;;
– I wasn’t trying to trick you, lol.
– How can I resist getting free stuff??
Wow, I thought it was just a joke, but they really are doing that.
“Might get confiscated if it’s confirmed you’re not a fan.”
What’s this?
It might be a serious good for someone, and they’re messing around.
“Anyway, now let’s recruit… I mean, draw lots.”
– LOL
– Definitely feels like recruiting.
– Draw lots? Ugh.
With that, I started to check through the eager applicants.
From those who cried because they couldn’t buy goods,
To those wanting to get a special gift for a terminally ill sibling.
Half were joking around, half were genuinely desperate, and I picked 30 from each fandom.
“Is this enough?”
– Did you pick too many?
– Are there that many goods available?
“Well, I need to use some too, so it’s about 10 goods per fandom. Miro’s goods will be even fewer.”
– But why 30, lol?
– The intention is clear, isn’t it?
– So one in three gets something, right?
“Could be, or maybe fewer will get anything at all.”
I haven’t even laid down concrete plans yet.
I just started picking people first.
– This is total garbage, lol.
– This guy’s just a bad person, yeah…
“Alright, those selected, I’ll create a Discord room and send you the link, so come over.”
Though viewers were criticizing,
I could clearly see that despite their chatty banter, they were looking forward to it.
Everyone participating was likely thrilled to join such a large collab.
That’s what we call a win-win situation.
“Hey, is there a manager here? Can you join us to send invites?”
Since there were tons of people, I had even brought along the special manager assigned from The Six to send invitations to everyone.
“Wow… there are quite a few.”
– Right? LOL
– Wow.
– How many people is this?
In no time, 180 people gathered on Discord.
… Is this scale too big?
What can we even do with this many people?
“Just a minute…”
I felt like I saw a good game recommendation while getting input from the fan café last time.
I remembered there was a large-scale multiplayer simulation game available on low specs.
Searching with keywords, I found the game quickly.
“Alright, everyone buy this and come back.”
It’s currently on discount, so it should be affordable, right?
If it were up to me, I’d want to buy it all for them, but that seems a bit cumbersome.
– Whoa, whoa, whoa.
– Getting serious now, lol.
– Are we doing this?
“Yes, apparently it allows for wars too.”
Since it’s closer to a war simulation game, it seems possible to create various scenarios with enough people.
I sent the game name to the newly created Discord channel and started brainstorming some ideas while people installed the game.
“For starters, I want to go for a massive battle, but how should we divide the teams?”
– Can’t we just do 30 people each?
– Let’s cut it in half with 90, yeah.
“Hmmm.”
Dividing people is key.
And since each fandom has its own goods they want, just doing teams may not be ideal.
How about selecting individuals from each fandom to form teams?
“I don’t know. Let’s divide into groups of six for now.”
I’ll select one from each fandom to create 30 groups.
That way, it’ll be easier to distribute the goods afterward.
It might be a bit tight on the Miro goods, but I could fill that with gift cards or other prizes.
“Okay, since it’s teamwork, let’s do our best, alright?”
– Do we really have to do group projects here? LOL
– Looks fun though.
– Is it too late to join now?
“Maybe there’ll be another chance later. Just hope today goes well.”
Honestly, I’m not sure if this spontaneous idea will work.
But for now, I’ve got everyone in the game, so we can figure out how it works.
“Alright, alright. Okay, I’ll send the multi-room name and password in Discord, so only join if it’s you.”
As I invited viewers to join, character avatars looking like ridiculous mannequins flooded into the multi-game room.
– Wow.
– Look at all of them, lol.
– Oh, that’s just sickening.
“… I can see how it looks a bit off, yeah.”
There are even functions here for armor and weapons.
We can categorize them as armor later.
“Alright, everyone, line up by fandom!”
I planted six flags across the spread-out grassland.
The fandoms naturally started to line up.
“Is everyone eager? Looks good.”
– For real, lol.
– Look at how orderly they are, lol.
– They really are good at following directions, lol.
It’s not just a casual viewer participation; it’s a lively competition with goods at stake.
“First row, come over here.”
Then I gathered the people from the first row to one side.
As I mentioned earlier, I was planning to split them into groups of six.
“Group 1 is over here, wear the Samurai armor.”
I handed out different types and colors of armor by team for identification.
Sure, it might be unequal, but… that can’t be helped.
By giving them gear that was close to light armor and simple weaponry, the gathered people began to look more put together than before.
– Wow, lol.
– It does feel majestic, haha.
– So what do we do with this now?
“… How about a siege war?”
Just fighting randomly seems too boring, right?
Dividing into attackers and defenders for a siege war seems like it could be entertaining.
– Is that even possible?
– We can build structures here, at least.
– But what about balance? LOL.
“Hmmm…”
Well, there shouldn’t be an issue with buildings.
But can we balance these 180 people effectively?
Honestly, dividing them into teams seems a bit tricky.
In that case….
“Dear viewers, are you bored?”
– Yeah?
– Why??
– That might be true, yeah…
“Those feeling bored, please write in the fan café if you think these guys shouldn’t get any goods.”
If there aren’t enough people, we can always hire external mercenaries, right?
After all, there are plenty of people here with free time.
– Are you serious???
– Hahahaha
– For real, lol.
– I’m going to write a post right now, lol.
– Aren’t you just the worst?
“And… for those gathered, how about we build a castle together?”
If I give too many resources, that won’t work well, so I set block limits per team, and started having the fandoms build a castle on the grassland.
“Let’s do this responsibly, okay?”
Everyone nodded at my comment.
Sure, they’ll probably make it well on their own.
After establishing the framework together, I returned to the fan café to select more players.
“Let’s see what we have here.”
Did they all come to mess with us?
There are seriously an overwhelming number of applicants.
“Oh wow, you do know there’s a fandom in there that’s on our side too, right?”
– Huh?
– They’re the enemy team though? LOL.
– No way, we can’t let them get the goods.
“Oh boy.”
Yeah, I never had high hopes for this.
Just looking at the posts in the café….
[I’ll wipe them all out.]
[My sibling is terminally ill; please don’t let those guys get any goods.]
[I’m someone who’s reselling goods… I can’t stand seeing them enjoy it.]
There’s loads of sheer malice present.
What did the fandoms building the castle do to deserve this…
But still.
Enduring these trials makes the victory all the more beautiful.
“I’ve sent the Discord link, so come on over.”
Praying our fandoms can overcome these evil beings and grab the goods, I invited them into Discord.
– Hahaha.
– These guys are just the worst, lol.
– How many are you picking?
“It’s a siege war, so I’m planning to select about 100 people.”
– Is the balance right?
– Defending is always a huge advantage.
“I’ve got my plans.”
As feeble as it seems, I’m knowledgeable in the art of war.
I know that defense is an advantage for sure.
“First, let’s check out the castle, shall we?”
As the newly joined people installed the game, I turned my attention to see how the fandoms had built their castle.
But then….
“Whoa….”
– Huh?
– What is that? LOL.
– Wow, that’s so impressive!
How in the world did they manage this in such a short time with limited resources?
In front of me stood a truly magnificent castle.
The walls were high and strong, adorned with defensive structures, standing tall in place.
The defenses looked simply impossible to breach with just 100 filled with malice.
“… I said to make it responsibly.”
– Seriously, haha.
– These guys are just low-down, lol.
– They’ve sold their souls for the goods.
Well, I guess that’s what it takes.
It’s actually a good thing.
Then, a moment later.
[Hello, hello.]
[We’re here, lol.]
[We’re definitely not letting you take the goods.]
Like a horde of mannequins, the opposing gang stormed into the server I had set up.
“Alright, I’ll get you all standard armor.”
Since they don’t really need to form teams, I suited them all up in basic infantry armor.
Now, I looked down smugly at the fandoms defending their castle.
“Alright, everyone in the castle, come out.”
[????]
[Wait, do we have to come out?]
[Huh?]
The flood of question marks from the fandom in the game chat followed my words.
“Yes, come out, and the opposition can enter your castle.”
– Oh, haha.
– Huh?
– Aren’t you on the attack team? LOL.
“Not at all! You built this castle, so you ought to know how to breach it.”
Since it’s their own defensive structure, I figured they’d make it well enough. And it turned out even better than I expected.
– Hahaha.
– Wow, this guy is just the worst.
– Is he seriously crazy?
“Alright, attack it and break through the castle.”
Well, they’d ultimately know the weak spots of their own defenses, right?
Moreover, this side’s filled with those desperate for goods, so it’ll surely be an exciting siege war.
– This is gonna be fun.
– LOL.
– Start killing each other!
– This guy’s just a devil incarnate, yeah…
Once we switched positions,
“I’ll give goods to the top 10 teams that get the most kills.”
With a simple instruction, I distributed siege weaponry and kicked off the full-blown siege war.
