Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber

Chapter 435

“Let’s stop getting up now.”

“Ah, yes, we should.”

It had been quite some time before we paused our conversation and got up from our seats.

Saying we were just taking a quick break at the café ended up being a longer sit than expected.

Maybe it was because we hadn’t seen each other in a while, but we had a lot to talk about.

Plus, since we were all from the same agency, we had quite a bit of industry-related gossip to share too.

“Where are we having dinner?”

Next, we were heading to a restaurant.

And after working out, doesn’t a hearty meal sound just right?

“There’s a sushi place nearby that’s really good.”

Luckily, there was a delicious sushi spot in the area, so we decided to go there.

“You seem to really like Japanese food.”

“It’s not like I can get it anywhere else.”

Just as we were about to leave the café for the restaurant.

“Oh, um…”

The barista over at the counter approached us cautiously.

“Yes?”

“Um… is it possible to get a signature?”

“Oh, I see.”

I realized what was happening; of course, they wanted an autograph. It wasn’t surprising anymore.

“Are you asking me? Or this person?”

Since they didn’t specify, I pointed at Moon Chang-sik, and the barista looked in my direction.

“Ah, it’s you.”

Well, he’s a guy, so maybe the male barista wanted my autograph over Moon Chang-sik’s?

“I’ll give it to you. Do you have a pen?”

“Ah, yes… here’s a pen and a notebook.”

Wait, could it be that I’m their fan?

I took a quick glance at the barista.

There’s definitely a trendy vibe about someone working as a barista in the city.

“Here you go.”

Will they ask about Miro?

Anyway, I scrawled my name as Kim Soo-hyun and handed the notebook back.

“Thank you!”

Having given the autograph, we stepped out of the café.

“You’re gaining popularity.”

Moon Chang-sik said as we got into the car he had parked nearby.

“It has increased a bit. By the way, where’s your car?”

“My car is parked at the agency parking lot.”

“Oh, right.”

After all, Moon Chang-sik’s car is pretty eye-catching.

I remembered the sports car I had seen last time.

He mentioned he had another car too, which must be possible for a top actor like him.

As for me… well, I’m still carless.

But at this point, I think I’d like to buy one.

I might have to look into getting a license soon.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Anyway, after that, we had dinner at the restaurant and parted ways.

**

“Hello.”

– Hey there

– Why are you showing up now?

As soon as I got home, I turned on the broadcast.

Lately, it feels like coming home from the gym and starting the broadcast has become a routine for me.

“This is early enough, right?”

Sure, I was a little late today since I spent time at the café and restaurant, but still, it’s a decent hour.

– You should have turned it on earlier…

– Can’t you just turn it on in the morning and do a 12-hour stream??

– Did you enjoy the café visit?

“Café? How did you know?”

– LOL

– Did you really go there?

– Someone spotted you!

“Ah, is there a sighting?”

Wow.

It hasn’t even been half a day, and already there is news about a sighting of me; that’s kind of surprising.

– Yeah, I heard you got an autograph.

– You can find it in the fan café.

“An autograph?”

Is it possible that it was that barista?

I gave them an autograph, but they’re already blabbing in the community.

I thought they seemed like a decent young person, but this…

Feeling a bit incredulous, I logged into the fan café to check it out.

[Today’s Miro Sighting]

Immediately, I noticed a popular post.

As I clicked in, I recognized the usual SNS screen.

There was a photo of my autograph with a comment saying I looked pretty in real life.

“Is this on Instagram?”

– Yep

– Someone captured it from the story.

“Ah.”

I thought someone might have posted about a sighting in some community, but it was just Instagram?

Hmm, hmm…

I suppose this counts as a sighting too.

Why did I think it was a community post?

I must have drenched my brain in the internet too much.

“But this isn’t even my sighting, right?”

Since I’d confirmed it was nothing major, I mentioned that.

– ???

– LOL

– Typical WWE

– Trying to get attention again

“I thought I got an autograph that had Miro written on it.”

– Do you sign things like this outside?

– Why don’t you clarify your relationship with Moon Chang-sik?

“Moon Chang-sik? Isn’t he from the same agency as the actor Kim Soo-hyun? I guess they just had dinner after meeting at the gym or something.”

– Is that so??

– How do you know?

– Do you think Kim Soo-hyun doesn’t realize it’s him?

– Wait, you’re really close enough to have dinner with Moon Chang-sik???

“Anyway, since we’re on air now, how about we play a game?”

I’ve been feeling lately that the line between Miro and Soo-hyun is getting thinner.

In the past, if anything like this came up, the community would burn with posts while my broadcast chat room would have been flipped upside down.

But now, it seems to pass by smoothly…

– Quit dodging, explain yourself!!

– I’m serious

– You better not be dating anyone

– Lock

…Well, maybe not so smoothly.

The chatroom is on fire.

“Calm down, everyone. Please take these chats over to the comment section on actor Kim Soo-hyun’s Instagram.”

– LOL

– Seriously

– Ugh

– Getting ridiculous with the comments

“By the way, I’ve prepared something for today.”

If the chat keeps burning, it’ll be a problem.

I had already planned something today before I even started the broadcast.

– ???

– What are you doing?

– Is there something happening today?

“We’re going to play a zombie game.”

Saying that, I recalled what happened earlier at the café.

Moon Chang-sik was filming a zombie movie, and I was envious of him.

But why would I be envious?

It’s just acting after all, right? There’s no way I could get fully immersed in a zombie apocalypse.

It would be better just to play a game with zombies in it.

– Zombies?

– You’re getting into strange stuff again, LOL

“It really caught my interest. Besides, zombies are great, right?”

– What’s so great about them??

– But what zombie game are you planning to play??

– Better than some cringy stuff, I guess, LOL

“Then, come on, let’s hear your game recommendations.”

I thought the idea of playing a zombie game sounded good.

But now, I had to pick a game, right?

I’ll be depending on the viewers for that part.

– Huh?

– Us?

– Didn’t you say you were prepared?

“Isn’t this a Miro broadcast made by us together? I set the theme, so please recommend a game.”

– Wow, cheeky

– Is this what Buhwang means??

– I’m not showing up for this!!

– Nope, not happening

“Wow, so you’re opting for a no-show, huh? But what should I do? There’s already a post up in the café.”

There are four-digit viewers watching right now.

Surely, there must be one or two who have a zombie game they want to play, right?

Look at that, the moment I mentioned I’d take recommendations, there’s already a mad rush of posts popping up in the café.

– Ah

– LOL, these dedicated fans…

– But aren’t you playing that game from last time?

“That one? That’s more fun if it’s multiplayer.”

That zombie survival game we played back then was fun, but is there anyone around to play with now?

– Let’s summon the Celestial Realm for this game

– If you call, they’ll come, right?

– Can’t do multiplayer??

“What am I, a power player? Just because I call doesn’t mean they’ll show up.”

– Uh-huh

– They will show up

– Calling you Buhwang while talking about powers is just odd, LOL

“…”

Well, they probably would show up.

But still, it feels a bit weird, right?

Looking through the list of broadcasts, they’re all my juniors.

It’s one thing if they were my peers, but calling my juniors feels odd.

It feels a little awkward too.

“Let’s check out the recommended games.”

– Look who’s trying to dodge

– Just play with your juniors, LOL

– You’re pretty much saying ‘Let’s go’ here

“‘Let’s go’ you say! Where can you find a commoner emperor like me?”

– Emperor… LOL

– Calling you Buhwang makes it sound like you really are an emperor

– Power talk, huh

Anyway, I pulled my attention away from the chat and checked the recommended game posts in the fan café.

“Wait, what?”

And I couldn’t help but chuckle at the first post.

“Are you joking?”

– That one has zombies in it, LOL

– Perfect for you!!

– Let’s go!

“Wait, that’s a horror game.”

That was the thing; the first recommended post was straightforwardly a horror game.

Horror game fans are really dedicated, huh?

At this point, I was feeling a bit competitive, thinking, “Let’s see if I can play a horror game.”

“Alight, let’s move on to the next one.”

Flipping through the posts, several zombie games were recommended.

“Wow, there are so many zombie games.”

– For real

– Why are there so many? LOL

– Zombies are famous, you know, LOL

As I looked through the recommendations, I couldn’t help but think, there are really all kinds of zombie games out there.

Well, zombies are well-known, so I guess that makes sense?

It’s almost a minor-major phenomenon.

“Hey, this one looks decent.”

While browsing, a certain game caught my eye.

It was a typical 3D graphic zombie survival game.

– Oh, that one

– I heard it officially released recently

– Let’s go, let’s go!

– A lot of streamers are playing it

“Ah, a lot of people are playing it?”

If there are many people playing it, that means it’s been reassuringly verified.

Considering I was looking for a suitable game, this seemed like a safe choice.

“Then I’ll give it a shot.”

Once I decided on something, things moved quickly.

I immediately bought it and installed it right away.

It was a bit of a large file, but my computer has a fast internet connection, so it quickly appeared on my desktop.

“Alright, here I go.”

As I entered the game, the gloomy background music immediately set the zombie survival tone.

– Oof, the music’s creepy

– Is there no horror factor??

“Sadly, there are no horror elements.”

I intentionally chose a game that focuses more on survival.

Naturally, the biggest threat to survival are the zombies.

“Alright, I’ll try single-player first.”

Just like how I installed it quickly, the game started up without any delays.

Standing in the middle of a ruined street, I was slightly amazed by the realistic game graphics and quickly started the tutorial to get the hang of the game.

“I think I’ve got the basics down.”

– Yup

– Wow, look at how fast you’re understanding it!

– You’re a pro at tutorials!

Having been a VTuber for three years now.

I pride myself on learning new games faster than anyone else.

“Let’s give it a go.”

Holding the makeshift bat I crafted during the tutorial, I dove into the actual game.

First off, here I am… standing in the middle of a road in a fallen world.

Looking around the buildings, it seems like we’re not in the city, but more in a rural village.

For now, I’ll rummage through abandoned cars and trash bins for items to farm.

Then again, maybe because of that ominous music?

Being alone is starting to feel a bit eerie.

“But why aren’t any zombies showing up?”

Moreover, with no zombies in sight, it’s adding to my nerves for no reason.

If they were littered around the streets, at least I could have a fight.

– You have to go into a house for them to show up, LOL

– Maybe it’s just too early in the game?

“House? Ah, over there.”

Thanks to the game’s setting in America, there are some pretty cool houses around.

Hmm… is it a bit scary to go in alone?

As I approached the house in front of me, two tiny skull icons appeared on the screen.

“Eh? What’s this?”

– It’s the difficulty of the house.

– Two skulls? Shouldn’t be too bad.

“Ah, I see.”

So, they even indicate the difficulty? This game is pretty considerate.

“Let’s give it a try.”

With a difficulty of just two skulls… I don’t know what the maximum is, but it doesn’t look too tough.

Cautiously, I readied my bat and stepped into the house.

“Oh… the items are like this.”

Having rummaged through so many junked cars and dumpsters, stepping into a proper house had my head spinning with quality items.

Just as I was feeling at ease, busy raiding the items…

[Ugh]

Suddenly, I heard the sound of a zombie from the kitchen where I was piling up canned goods.

– Oh, that sound!

– This is getting creepy, LOL

“Finally, my first zombie.”

In games like this, there’s a thrill in bashing zombies, isn’t there?

Excited to check out the combat mechanics, I moved toward the sound.

Thud, thud, thud.

Strange noises came from the ceiling.

“Eh.”

And then…

[AAAAAH!!]

Something horrifying crashed down from the broken roof.

At that moment.

“@$#%@%$-!!”

I got so startled that I flung my mouse away.

“Ah, my mouse!”

[Ugh! Ugh!]

Right after, while I was scrambling to find my mouse, my character got bit by the zombie, causing my vision to turn red.

– HAHAHAHA

– Oh boy

– That scream was amazing, LOL

– So good!

…Seriously?

Isn’t it unfair for something to drop down from the ceiling like that?

“Haah….”

With a sigh, I exited to the lobby screen.

– Scared? Scared? LOL

– Are you not going to rage quit in 10 minutes??

– At least you should do a three-hour stream!

Contrary to my disappointed heart, the viewers are having the time of their lives.

As always, they seem to enjoy my misfortunes for entertainment.

Ah, let them enjoy it as they please.

But more than that…

“Who was streaming just now?”

This game gets a bit terrifying on your own.

Thinking back, that other zombie game I played was scary when I was alone too.

Fear dissipates the more people there are.

I paused the game and entered Dwitch.

– LOL

– Are you actually going to collaborate?

– Scaredy-cat?

– Buhwang, you really are a chicken, LOL

“Hey now, survival games are more fun with friends.”

Looking at the Dwitch main screen, I saw all juniors streaming.

Hmm… none of the first-generation students have started streaming aside from me.

Well, now isn’t the time to pick and choose.

“Alright, let’s recruit… I mean, let’s see who wants to play with me.”

So, with that logic in mind,

It’s not that I’m scared, really, but I’ve now decided to recruit some co-streamers to make the game more fun.
