Chapter 426
Jisoo’s first part of filming has wrapped up.
That means I no longer have to wake up early and drive round-trip to the filming location nearby in Gyeonggi.
Deep down, I was a bit uncomfortable with the commuting time.
Now that I think I won’t be going until the second part filming, I feel relieved.
Well, on the flip side…
“Thank you for today, singer-nim.”
“Oh, yes.”
Since I’m not filming a drama right now, I’ve started actively participating in music programs.
The empty schedule right after the first part filming fills up quickly.
So, at the moment, I’m recording for a music program.
“Congratulations on your new song hitting number one! Wow, isn’t that almost a record? Such an achievement in such a short time.”
“Hahaha, it’s all thanks to everyone who helped.”
Currently ranked number one on the music charts.
This was even more impressive than I initially thought.
Every program I appear on praises me endlessly about it, so it really hits home.
“How did you come to collaborate on this song?”
“Actually, this happened because…”
Since I’ve been attending so many filming sessions, I’ve now become accustomed to sharing behind-the-scenes stories in front of the camera.
The most frequently asked question is about how I got to work on the song with composer Kang Woo-hyeon.
Some programs even ask how we interacted before that.
Then I can just leave out the part about Miro, the VTuber, and share my story.
And they strangely seem to love that.
Is it because of the story of hitting number one since my rookie days? It’s a common question on music programs.
“Oh, by the way, I hear you’re close with the Slim Gold band.”
“Yes, we are good friends.”
And then, the conversation shifts to Hyeon-su.
Since it’s a music program, Hyeon-su has likely been to most of these places at least once.
Naturally, since I’m close with Hyeon-su, they ask many questions on that front.
“I know you’ve done quite a bit of featuring as well, even appearing as a guest at concerts.”
“Right. We share a friendship…”
Speaking of which, it’s been three years since I became acquainted with Hyeon-su.
He’s probably heading to the military soon, right?
Should I go see him off with the other band members?
Anyway, after continuing to answer various questions…
“Now, we can’t miss out on hearing your hit new song, can we?”
Now I just have to show off the new song with the borrowed guitar.
Besides the new song, I’ll also sing cover songs or the tracks I’ve previously released until it’s complete.
Then it’s time to hop in the car.
“Where to next?”
“I’m heading to the broadcasting station for a variety show shoot.”
I have to go for the next filming.
Does that mean I only go on music programs if I’m number one? Absolutely not.
Have I become more popular? Famous?
Of course, I have to do variety shows now.
In that sense, I’m singing everywhere on all sorts of variety shows.
Moreover, being recognized as an actor now, I have quite a number of filming experiences under my belt.
There’s no hesitation in getting contacted for gigs.
After a few more shoots, the sky darkens, and before I know it, I’m outside my house.
“You’ll need to be ready by 6:30 tomorrow.”
“Oh, yes…”
Once I step into my home, it’s straight to the bathroom, and I collapse onto the bed.
When I open my eyes again, it’s dawn.
Stepping out of the house, Park Kang-seok is waiting.
“…Manager, where is your home?”
“Pardon?”
“When do you sleep, and when do you wake up?”
I wonder if I’m a bit sleep-deprived, but what kind of life does Park Kang-seok lead?
Unlike me, who often steals quick naps in the car, I doubt he gets the chance.
“Oh, I nap while Soo-hyun is filming.”
“Ah…”
“So don’t worry.”
I suppose that means I’ll be taking breaks while I’m filming too.
Like a veteran manager, he seems to know just when to rest properly.
“By the way, how’s your health these days, Soo-hyun?”
“Oh, I’m fine.”
“If you ever want to talk, just let me know, and I’ll adjust your schedule.”
“I’m still alright.”
Ever since I caught that cold before.
Park Kang-seok has been regularly checking in on my health.
…Well, I can’t say I have an image of robust health.
Remember that action scene shoot from before?
That shabby state of my body, after all.
“Oh, Manager!”
“Yes?”
“What do you think about my getting into gym workouts?”
So, I thought it through.
I should probably start exercising seriously.
That was something I realized while filming with Jisoo.
To be honest, I think I could still handle shooting something like the last action scene from the first part.
The issue lies with the upcoming second part.
I hear there are more intense movements in the scenes set after Jisoo’s past romance, so can I manage that?
Plus, stamina issues can become a problem when handling future schedules.
Just think back to that variety show.
I caught a cold just from getting caught in the rain.
I can’t let that happen anymore.
I need to train before I start thinking of this frail body as the norm.
“It’d be great if you started working out.”
“Really?”
Look at that, even Park Kang-seok agrees.
“It’d be better to have fewer schedules rather than skipping workouts.”
“Oh, really?”
Not just agreeing, but it sounds like he’s actively recommending that we cut down on my schedule.
“Just say the word, and you can use the agency’s gym at your convenience.”
“The agency gym?”
“Yes, it’s in the basement. Since your face is already known, you’ll be able to work out comfortably there.”
Hmm…
The gym from Sang Sik Entertainment.
Considering the size of the building, the gym should also have decent facilities.
But is it too far?
Even if I ask for a ride on scheduled days, I don’t think I’d end up going on my off days.
Exercise needs to be consistent.
Especially gym workouts.
In that sense, it seems closer gyms would be better.
Plus, if it’s near my house, I might have a workout buddy.
If I manage it carefully, it’s definitely worth trying.
“I think I’ll check out the closer gym first.”
“Sure, go take a look, and let me know if you need anything.”
Even though I live in a corner of Seoul, it’s still a reasonably populated area.
Surely, there’s a decent gym somewhere.
Anyway, after that, I continued my life filled with schedules.
Driving around Seoul, filming, eating, filming, eating.
If time allows, I head home, then back out for more filming…
Except for when filming times overlapped with meal times, forcing me to eat a packed lunch, I spent a significant amount of time enjoying the delicious places around Seoul.
“Look, our daughter is on TV again.”
“Oh, that was filmed earlier.”
“Really? She just appeared a moment ago.”
“She’ll probably keep coming out now.”
Slowly but surely, the shoots we did have started spreading out into the world after editing.
“What are all these things?”
“Sponsorships that have come in.”
“…Why are there so many?”
On top of that, we did several fashion magazine shoots, so a lot of clothes arrived.
I’ve been hearing that due to my appearance, I’m catching the eye of the fashion and luxury industries.
Rumors are circulating that a luxury brand is discussing a contract with me… I hope it goes well.
Honestly, landing a deal as a model for a luxury brand would be a massive achievement in life, wouldn’t it?
And that’s not all.
“I heard your song at the grocery store today.”
“I’ve heard it a lot too.”
“Eww, it was terrible listening to you strumming away at home all day, but hearing it outside sounds way better.”
“…Care to play it again?”
With my song climbing the charts, stores started playing it regularly.
When I hop onto YouTube, at least in my algorithm, videos and shorts showcasing my recent activities are filling the space.
It’s astonishingly influential, even more than when I was Sera.
Back then it was impressive, but this time it’s even more.
The synergy from the existing recognition has catapulted my visibility.
And with that, my information has begun circulating more widely.
Naturally, things about my high school and relationships with other celebrities are expected.
But things regarding the VTuber Miro have spread even more significantly.
What? A popular actor released a new song and hit number one but turns out he’s also a skilled gamer and artist who’s a VTuber?
Is there a more sensational story?
Since Sera, there have been whispers of “the actor whose primary job is being a VTuber,” but now, my face is showing up side by side with VTuber images in thumbnails on YouTube videos.
On top of that….
[ksh’s past silly moments lol]
There are even a few videos related to the Bluebird account.
Hmm… Bluebird.
Right now, my YouTube subscriber graph is hitting the ceiling.
Consequently, more people have come to check out the Bluebird account, but it’s been months since I posted any new artwork.
Should I draw something to put up?
Honestly, I’ve thought about deleting the account.
But if I deleted it after the scandal already spread, wouldn’t that just make me look bad?
Moreover, I still have the passion for drawing alive in me.
I want to show my amazing drawing skills to those who came after hearing the rumors.
So, on the evening after finishing my schedule,
I stepped into my room after showering and picked up a pen for the first time in a while.
It felt somewhat awkward at first, but after a few quick sketches, I started to feel familiar again.
For me, drawing is a memory embedded in my body.
Even if I haven’t practiced, the ability doesn’t wear off easily.
I thought I’d spend around three hours on it.
Well, even three hours would mean I’d sleep a little later than usual, but I still feel invigorated.
And so, I began to draw without blockage.
“Ah…”
Before I knew it, the time had surpassed when I had originally intended to sleep.
Before my eyes lay a completed drawing.
It’s hard to believe it’s been a while since I last drew, but this one turned out great.
Just looking at it fills me with satisfaction.
Then, without hesitation, I uploaded the drawing to my Bluebird account and plopped down on my bed.
And thus, a day that was no different from my busy schedule came to an end.
