No! I don't want to be a Super Necromancer!

Chapter 43: Jennifer Aquafrost

The moment Damien Bloodbane stepped out, he heard it.

The unmistakable sound of fists meeting flesh.

He turned the corner just in time to see Harry slam Li Feng's head against a Sim Pod with a sickening crack.

"YOU LITTLE BACKSTABBING FUCKFACES!" Harry Shadowfang roared as he grabbed Li Feng's hair to pull him upright.

Li Feng staggered, barely able to react before Harry Shadowfang's next punch caved into his stomach like a battering ram. He wheezed and choked on air.

Kun Lun wasn't any luckier.

Harry Shadowfang grabbed him by the collar, lifted him off his feet, and slammed him into the ground so hard the floorboards rattled.

The surrounding crowd went wild.

"Holy shit! They're actually fighting in real life!"

"This is way better than the tournament!"

Damien Bloodbane strolled forward, his expression calm, but his presence made the air heavy.

The Aquafrost team, still inside their pods, were starting to realize something was very wrong.

One by one, their Sim Pods opened.

Zhang Lei, their leader, stepped out first.

His gaze flicked between the bleeding and groaning bodies of his teammates, and the unbothered stance of Damien Bloodbane and Harry Shadowfang.

"What the hell?" Zhang Lei snapped. "You Shadowfang dogs really think you can get away with this?"

Harry Shadowfang laughed, blood dripping from his knuckles. "Get away with what? Teaching garbage like you a lesson?"

Damien Bloodbane stepped next to him, tilting his head slightly with a cold smile on his face. He didn't say anything, but the dangerous glow in his eyes was invitation enough.

Hiss.

The Sim Pods hissed open, and one by one, the Aquafrost fighters stepped out, each one bigger, meaner, and angrier than the last.

Zhang Nan, the largest of them all, rolled his shoulders, his knuckles cracking like gunshots as he stepped up beside Zhang Lei. His glare was as sharp as a blade.

"So, the Shadowfang mutt knows how to bite," he sneered.

Before Damien or Harry could respond, the net café manager came rushing forward, his hands flailing wildly in panic.

"Boys! BOYS! The sign clearly says no fighting allowed! Please, for the love of all things holy, DO NOT star—"

Unfortunately for him, his plea only served as the starting gun.

The fight exploded in an instant.

Zhang Lei lunged forward, his punch ripping through the air toward Damien Bloodbane's face.

Damien Bloodbane dodged with barely an inch to spare, the wind from the strike brushing against his skin as he countered immediately.

CRACK!

His fist collided with Zhang Lei's ribs and immediately broke a couple.

Zhang Lei gasped in excruciating pain and stumbled back while clutching his side. "You… little—"

Harry Shadowfang, meanwhile, was laughing like a maniac as he grabbed another Aquafrost goon and slammed his head into a table.

The wood splintered, and the guy crumpled like wet paper.

"AHYIEEE!! You guys broke the Metapod table!" The net cafe manager wailed.

Kun Lun and Li Feng tried to escape, but Damien Bloodbane moved too fast.

He caught Kun Lun by the collar, spun, and threw him straight into Li Feng, sending both of them crashing into a beautiful water feature made of glass.

The sound of shattering glass, the taste of sweat in the air, the deafening roar of everyone present—

It was perfect chaos.

The net cafe fell down to his knees.

"That Snorlax water fountain was CUSTOM-MADE!" He sobbed.

The shattering of glass seemed to act as the second starting bell, because the moment Kun Lun and Li Feng crashed into the water feature, the remaining Aquafrost fighters snapped.

Zhang Nan let out a roar, his massive frame surging forward like an enraged bull.

"YOU'RE DEAD, SHADOWFANG DOGS!"

Damien Bloodbane sidestepped smoothly to let the brute's momentum carry him forward.

Zhang Nan realized his mistake too late.

Before he could stop, Damien Bloodbane's foot shot out, catching him right in the shin.

His ankle twisted unnaturally, and his own force betrayed him as he tripped forward, slamming headfirst into a row of strange yellow chairs.

CRASH!

The net café manager let out a strangled shriek.

"MY LIMITED EDITION PIKACHU CHAIRS!"

Zhang Nan groaned, face buried in the wreckage.

Damien Bloodbane didn't even look at him.

By his side, Harry Shadowfang was already tangling with the three remaining Aquafrost clan members.

One of them had managed to get to Harry Shadowfang's blind spot and was about to land a powerful hook.

Damien Bloodbane caught his wrist, twisted it sharply, and—

CRACK!

A pained scream tore through the café as the goon dropped to his knees, cradling his broken wrist.

Before the second one could react, Damien Bloodbane launched forward, elbow-first, smashing it into his chest.

The guy spurted out blood violently and doubled over as he collapsed next to his fallen teammate.

The manager let out another bloodcurdling scream.

"My Eevee carpets!! Who's going to clean the blood off my Eevee carpets?!"

Damien Bloodbane turned to see Harry Shadowfang kick the last remaining Aquafrost member away.

The poor guy's face had gone pale, his fists trembling.

He looked around at his wrecked team, at the broken furniture, at the furious, nearly-crying café manager—

Then, without a word, he bolted for the exit.

But alas, his fate was sealed.

Just as he desperately stretched his hand toward the door handle, the heavy café doors suddenly swung open.

BANG!

The edge of the door slammed directly into his face.

He didn't even make a sound.

He crumpled instantly, collapsing like a puppet with its strings cut.

And behind that door, a new presence entered the battlefield.

A dozen new figures stepped inside, each one exuding an unmistakable aura of power.

They weren't rookies.

They weren't street thugs.

They were real competitors.

Elite members of Team Aquafrost.

And at the very front, standing with effortless grace… Was her.

Jennifer Aquafrost.

Damien Bloodbane's ex-fiancée.

She was breathtaking, a stunning girl whose very presence could freeze a room without even speaking.

Her icy blue eyes swept over the destruction in the net café, completely unfazed by the wreckage, the groaning bodies, or the bloodied floor.

She had a face like a noble, all sharp angles and elegant beauty, with long silver-white hair cascading over her shoulders in silky waves.

Her lips, painted a soft frost-pink, curled into an amused smirk as she finally spotted Damien.

Jennifer Aquafrost was tall, poised, and carried herself like royalty, her movements smooth, precise, and deliberate.

But beneath that elegance, everyone in the room could feel it.

The cold, razor-sharp danger lurking just beneath the surface.

She wasn't just another pretty face.

She was Team Aquafrost's Ace.
