Episode 1
Prologue
I never once thought of wanting to escape from reality even for a moment. My life was just too satisfying. Living as the beloved youngest son of a chaebol family was thrilling. My brothers regarded me highly for swiftly giving up management rights faster than anyone.
Thanks to that, my life was filled with parties, alcohol, cigarettes and men. If I wanted to splash money around, I could do so as I pleased. I was quite good-looking too, so there was never a guy I wanted to sleep with that I couldn’t.
A life filled with pleasure and luxury, with the only worry being sexually transmitted diseases if I had to think of one, was mine.
…Well, until yesterday that is.
If only I hadn’t possessed the modern fantasy novel I was reading before bed, I could have continued living my promiscuous life.
‘Damn it…!’
Of all things, I possessed a celibate character.
***
The novel I possessed wasn’t perfectly modern, strictly speaking. What I mean is, it had fantasy mixed in.
First, a black fog covered the world, people called the origin spreading the black fog “Gates”, and monsters popped out… You probably get the gist. This world is a modern fantasy novel. It’s just that in the novel’s timeline, it had been a long time since the world became like this a thousand years ago.
In short, it had been this way since the Middle Ages.
As a result, in this novel’s world, there was a concept of “family clans” like prestigious and noble houses.
There were also groups called “sects” that, unlike family clans focused on lineage succession, one could only belong to by proving oneself purely through skill. If family clans raised young masters through money and elixirs, sects picked up talented people regardless of blood ties and trained them harshly.
Anyway, although the Middle Ages, martial arts novels, and modern times were ambiguously and vaguely mixed together, it still took place in the 21st century modern era so roughly calling it modern, this novel with a background setting like a jumbled stew was incredibly fun, unlike its setting. Truly entertaining.
It was so fun that as I blazed through the 13-volume novel day and night, I found myself feeling uncontrollably aroused at the increasingly devastating story, and there were reasons for that.
The protagonist was so freaking much my type.
So I was turned on. The climax was when he witnessed the true identity of the final villain and was so shocked he nearly lost half his sanity. The ruined life of the sexily ruined protagonist was the best. But then I felt a moment of emptiness, disgusted at myself for getting aroused by a text character, so I consoled myself that I’ll read the last volume tomorrow and went to sleep.
But when I opened my eyes, I had become that final villain.
‘Wow, I feel dizzy…’
This was no life at all. Because if you list this bastard’s life in keywords, you get: #celibate and #hypocritical #fucking asshole #rival of the protagonist who becomes an ally #thought that was it but surprise! turned out to be the final villain… That’s the resulting profile.
Our villain friend, from his very first scene, suppresses his classmates then responds with the greatest asshole comment to the protagonist’s heart-fluttering line of “You have no right to treat people like insects.”
“Oh my, were there people here besides me?”
Thinking about it again, it was truly an incredible statement. In summary, doesn’t it mean this:
‘Yup, you’re all insects except me.’
I thought if he was in front of me, I wanted to smack his forehead for saying something like that in his right mind, but now that body is mine? Damn it.
Anyway, this villain friend filled with misanthropy and hatred for humans roughly keeps clashing with the protagonist at the academy like this.
If it was me, I wouldn’t clash and treat him preciously, but unfortunately this villain friend was a damn celibate bastard.
The reason was simple.
It’s because he was a young master from a damn prestigious family. Can’t spill his seed just anywhere? What a dog-like family rule, but this guy even followed all that so he rejected everyone trying to lay hands on him. He buttoned up his clothes to the end and even wore gloves in midsummer. Is he crazy?
This guy stuck close to the erotic protagonist throughout his time at the academy, and somehow, although romantic feelings didn’t develop, he built up something like a friendship. To be exact, while each other’s presence stimulated the other’s patience, they recognized they were undoubtedly skilled and thus their relationship wasn’t a bad one. Even if they disliked each other, the fact that they were rivals and colleagues was an undeniable relationship they reached.
Therefore, the protagonist’s mental state crumbled upon finding out his colleague was actually the final villain trying to destroy the world.
‘Of course, my mentality is also crumbling with it though.’
Because I still!
‘Don’t know how or in what way the villain plotted to destroy the world!’
I still haven’t finished reading the book…!
***
I became half-dead from suffering all night due to lack of sleep.
…It’s hard to make a living.
Episode 1
After spending the night wide awake repeatedly kicking the blanket like that,
It would be a lie to say I didn’t wonder if everyone struggled this much, but after painstaking efforts, I came to terms with my life.
I accepted the damn future given to me after possessing a modern dark fantasy novel and began to take the next step.
That next step was setting goals.
The first goal I came up with was one thing.
Avoid the world’s destruction!
Actually, there’s no need to purposely avoid it. Since I’m the main culprit that causes the world’s destruction, the world won’t be destroyed if I just live quietly. Come to think of it, this body is the best talent who can sweep away academy students except the protagonist, so I could probably live comfortably just believing in that.
Of course, it’s a problem that there are other wannabe world destroyers besides this body, but they can’t output as much firepower as this body.
The conquerors will protect the world.
‘I’ll just be an airhead asshole.’
Second,
Protect my life of wealth and glory!
— Since this body is a young master from a prestigious family, it naturally comes with gold and jewels great for living it up.
And for the grand third,
Don’t get caught that I’m not ‘Cassice Demillang’!
…Somehow the life goal I came up with third seems more important than the previous ones so I’m doubting my intelligence.
Let’s say it’s because I haven’t adapted to the new body.
Anyway, this is a bit tricky. This guy, who pretends to be the protagonist’s rival then appears with a bang as the final villain, was a hypocrite who smiled brightly every day and a top shit-talker with no lack to be called an asshole, so the issue was whether I could mimic such a personality well.
But if I can’t mimic it properly, the prestigious ‘Demillang’ family will try to kill me for impersonating their precious heir. The Demillang I saw in the book was a group that would do that and more.
I’ll be lucky if they don’t vivisect me alive.
‘Ugh, horrifying. Inhumane and outdated. Eek.’
Let’s stop thinking these unpleasant thoughts. Let’s think positively that I can catch up to that personality if I try.
I might ruin my skin otherwise.
Then what would be good for a fourth goal?
Spend a passionate night with the protagonist?
‘Oh.’
In my opinion, this was quite a plausible goal.
‘……’
…Wait, I don’t know why but I feel I should explain that I’m not beyond redemption first, but I absolutely can’t find a basis for it so I’ll stop. But I’m not irredeemable. Irredeemable, what a humiliating word. I hope you don’t utter it in front of me…
But think about it. Let’s suppose you’re Pygmalion who met your perfect ideal type as a gift from God. Pygmalion who engaged in the crap of sculpting statues to find his ideal type then tasted the miracle of the ideal type he was sculpting coming to life through God’s grace.
If you were Pygmalion, would you or would you not do “that” with Galatea?
The answer is set. Why ask? You have to do it no matter what.
In short, to me, Galatea was this novel’s protagonist.
Someone so sincerely and fucking much my type that I wanted to lament why he only exists in a novel.
— The protagonist’s name is Ryuseong.
Somehow even his name is this cool, I have no idea. By the way, the novel takes place in Korea.
There’s some nationalism mixed in, with a setting that only the land of the Korean peninsula has pure energy flowing through it, but in any case, in the 21st century modern times, young elites from all over the world are desperate to complete a degree from Korea’s academies.
My body is a mixed-blood between Korean and Western nobility, but since the direct lineage uses a foreign name, this body is also ‘Cassice Demillang’.
‘And the main setting of the story is here.’
Areah Academy.
This place is the best out of the three academies in Korea. Here, Ryuseong dominates all fields with overwhelming skill. I loved seeing such an upright man suffer, despair, frustrated, and writhing.
That’s right. I was trash.
It was so awesome that there were healers in this world. No matter what was done to him while fighting enemies, everything regenerated. It made me want to buy a meal for the person who recommended the novel on that internet post.
I thought all web novels were just light stuff, but to think there was such a hardcore dark fantasy that officially torments the protagonist like this.
‘It’s so thrilling.’
With just the character’s background, greed was inevitable. Even if this body was an adult who had been celibate for 20 years, it couldn’t be helped.
‘I have no choice but to do it once.’
In this world, one becomes an adult at age 20. The prime age to enter the academy is also 20.
Therefore, based on the new uniform clearly never worn hanging on the wall, leading me to infer it’s before academy entrance when I possessed this body now, it was a divine message telling me to seduce the protagonist.
So I finally left the bed where I had only been kicking the blanket hard.
It was to check how damn well the face of ‘Cassice Demillang’, described as the world’s top beauty in the novel, was made.
And seeing the mirror, I was fairly satisfied.
‘Similar to before possession.’
Well, he seems a bit prettier than back then though. What’s the use of a dude being pretty.
He’s taller than before but his frame and muscles are no match for pre-possession me, so his slender body was a tad disappointing. But just his face, truly seemed overwhelming. My type is a manly face with thick brows and defined features so I’m not sure though.
‘And perhaps because I know he’s the villain, he looks suspicious.’
How should I say it. Should I call it suspicious? Meaningful? Even when he smiles with the corners of his eyes crinkled, his silver lashes part and his crescent-shaped pupils sparkle like jewels, creating a strange atmosphere. He has a face that would definitely have peach blossom eyes if fortune telling.
With his lush hair tinged with a bewitching silver, his strangely pale white skin, and his mysterious, abundant white lashes…
A man with a cold, yin energy-filled, shadowy feeling.
Yes, quite similar in appearance to pre-possession me.
‘…Was I a bit unscrupulous?’
To reiterate, the vibe itself was similar before regression too. It hurts my pride but this guy feels like an upgraded version in terms of features.
It’s no different from being forcibly upgraded.
‘I get annoyed when Windows updates on its own, so why is he-‘
Changing my face on his own, what nonsense.
Ha, damn it.
I’m pissed as hell but the sun was rising.
Knock, knock.
“Young master, it is time to prepare for entrance.”
The adult of a new nation had to prepare to go to the academy.
So from now on, I who must live as ‘Cassice Demillang’ drawled lazily in an alluring voice,
“Which insolent bastard dares to call me young master, butler?”
Cursing out someone older than me is awkward but well. ‘Cassice Demillang’ was an honorific-using character.
An apology came after a moment.
“…I apologize. Head young master. There was a momentary mistake.”
But ‘Cassice Demillang’ still wouldn’t accept it with a bright smile.
“Well, that mistake should only be momentary.”
Then thump. The sound of kneeling was heard outside the door.
“Please punish me for my sin.”
Unexpectedly, I learned that ‘Cassice Demillang’s asshole-ish life…
‘Oh, is this my calling?’
Was a perfect fit for me. It’s truly a shame to say, but the average personality of the world’s final villain resembled mine.
