Nine Nether Heavenly Emperor

Chapter 5: Chapter 5 Devouring Dark Evil

When Shi Feng sensed that Bai Yue'e was struck by the force of Shi Jintian's palm, he had already been frantically infusing her with the pure Nine Nether Power, circulating the Nine Nether Technique, absorbing the accumulated Dark Evil Qi within her body over the years. Turning it into Nine Nether Power through himself, he then transferred it back into Bai Yue'e.

Only when Shi Feng had transferred all of his Nine Nether Power into Bai Yue'e, and under the nourishment of this power, not only were her wounds stanched, but the flesh that had been damaged by the Dark Evil Qi over many years, both new injuries and old, were rapidly healing, saving her from hanging by a thread.

However, the properties of the Nine Nether Power were Yin Cold, to the extreme, which Bai Yue's normal human body simply couldn't withstand. Fortunately, in the storage ring of Ming'an, the Second-stage Refiner Shi Feng had killed today, there was a fist-sized piece of Pure Yang Soil.

In the world, where there is Yin, there must be Yang; for every Dark Evil Supreme Treasure, there is a Pure Yang Treasure.

Pure Yang Soil was such a Pure Yang Treasure, and it was a mystery how a mere Second-stage Refiner had come upon such a treasure, which even Martial Emperor powerhouses cultivating the Fire Element or other Yang properties would covet.

"But mother, she..." Shi Feng asked Shi Ling to boil a pot of hot water. Shi Ling didn't leave; her little face was still filled with worry as she looked at Bai Yue'e in Shi Feng's arms.

"It's okay, if brother says mother will be fine, then she will be! I'm asking you to boil water to treat mother's wounds," Shi Feng said.

"Ah, I'll go right away." As soon as Shi Ling heard it was to treat their mother, she hurriedly scampered off to the dilapidated kitchen in another corner.

Watching the little one's retreating figure, Shi Feng smiled and shook his head, murmuring low, "This thing called family affection, it's quite interesting, huh?"

When Shi Feng turned his head back to his mother, still unconscious, and saw the divorce papers stained red with blood, a murderous intent reappeared in his eyes. His right fist clenched instantly, his fingernails digging deep into his palm, a streak of blood oozed out unnoticed from the center of his fist, and with a trembling voice, he said, "Shi Jintian, I swear I'll make you regret ever coming into this world!"

Before long, Shi Ling returned carrying a steaming, hot kettle.

Shi Feng set Bai Yue'e down to lie on the ground for a moment, reached out to take the kettle from Shi Ling's hand, and with a flip of his right hand, the fiery red Pure Yang Soil appeared.

Shi Feng broke off a piece the size of a fingernail cap, ground it into powder, opened the kettle lid, and sprinkled the powder into the boiling water.

After placing the remaining Pure Yang Soil back into the storage ring, Shi Feng held the kettle in his left hand, crouched down again, and propped up Bai Yue'e by pulling her back with his right hand, before bringing the kettle spout to her mouth.

"Ah! Brother! It's scalding!" Shi Ling exclaimed in alarm, seeing Shi Feng feeding Bai Yue'e in such a manner.

Shi Feng smiled at her and said, "Don't worry, it's okay, how could I ever harm mother?"

After saying that, Shi Feng began to feed the boiling water to Bai Yue'e. The sight made Shi Ling tremble with fear, the little girl couldn't bear to watch and covered her little eyes with her hands, leaving a small crack between her fingers to peek through, looking adorably worried.

Feeling the changes within Bai Yue'e's body, and only when the Pure Yang had neutralized the Extreme Yin, did Shi Feng stop pouring water into Bai Yue'e's mouth.

Although Bai Yue'e was still unconscious, Shi Feng knew that she was now out of danger, and with further care, all her injuries would heal as before.

Then, Shi Feng picked up Bai Yue'e and carried her to a wooden bed in a corner of the room. Shi Ling followed over, batting her big eyes and pouting, looking puzzled as she asked, "Brother, why are you putting mother to sleep on our bed? Where will we sleep tonight?"

Shi Feng once again affectionately stroked Shi Ling's little head and said, "Good child, don't ask so many questions. Go and cook first."

"Okay." Shi Ling responded and turned to walk to the kitchen.

After Shi Ling left, Shi Feng's eyes gradually brightened, he had sensed that the previously suspected Dark Evil Supreme Treasure was not in any other place but right beneath Mother Bai Yue'e's bed. No wonder her sickness had been so severe, her body so ravaged, it was a wonder she had survived this long under the constant assault of the Dark Evil Qi.

Shi Feng found a hoe and an iron shovel in the house, walked over to the bed, pushed it aside, and swung the hoe down.

With the first strike, a clump of earth rolled up and a hole opened in the ground.

Shi Feng immediately felt a strong surge of Dark Evil Qi being released, enveloping him in the ice-cold and gloomy Dark Evil Qi.

"Haha, that's right, exactly here." Shi Feng was overjoyed in his heart, and without idling, he activated the Nine Nether Technique, opened all pores on his body, and frantically absorbed the Dark Evil Qi.

In just a few breaths, Shi Feng felt the Netherworld Power that he had just fully transferred to Bai Yue'e surging back into his dantian and continuing to grow even more.

Shi Feng quickened his digging, the once Emperor Nine Nether, now toiled as a laborer, excavating the earth.

Suddenly, a white light flashed over Shi Feng's body, and he directly advanced an entire stage, becoming a Three-star Martial Disciple.

"Hahaha, good, this is great. Once I get this treasure and use it to aid in my cultivation, I should be able to advance to Martial Disciple Peak by tonight."

If others heard Shi Feng's words, they would be scared to death. It was truly terrifying; most spent over a decade reaching Martial Disciple Peak, yet he was talking about achieving it in just one night. This cultivation speed was simply astounding.

Normally, Martial Artists would absorb Heavenly Earth Yuan Qi during cultivation, and then convert this Yuan Qi into Primordial Power within the dantian, similar to how Shi Feng absorbed the Power of Death and the Dark Evil Power and turned them into Nine Nether Power in his dantian.

However, after accumulating sufficient Primordial Power in their dantians, Martial Artists also needed Martial Arts Enlightenment. Only after gaining such insight could they advance.

Take Elder Bai, who blocked Shi Feng's path earlier, for example. He had been immersed in the Martial Master Realm for many years, his Primordial Power long since sufficient, but lacking enlightenment in the ways of Martial Arts, he remained unable to advance.

Yet Shi Feng was different from them. He was originally at Martial Emperor Peak, and his enlightenment in Martial Arts was unmatched by nearly anyone on the entire Tianheng Continent. As long as the Nine Nether Power in his dantian was adequate, breaking through was as natural as water flowing into a channel.

Then, another white light flashed on Shi Feng, elevating him to Four-star Martial Disciple. At this moment, he had dug a circular pit about two meters in diameter and half a meter deep, with yellow earth piled all around it.

Just then, a tender voice suddenly came from behind, "Brother, a lot of people have come outside."

"A lot of people?" Shi Feng frowned, turned around, and saw Shi Ling holding a dimly lit oil lamp in her hands.

Unknowingly, the sky had darkened without his realization. After his advancement, Shi Feng's vision was unaffected by darkness, and he had not paid close attention just then.

"Ah! Brother! What is this!" In the light of the fire, Shi Ling saw Shi Feng amidst chaos and a large hole, and the little one immediately cried out loud in shock.
