Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Ferocious Earth Stab
"Hmph, you've hidden your cultivation level, but what of it? Even if you possess heaven-scaling talent, you cannot escape death today!" Hai Ming saw the Sword Qi flying toward him and didn't consider it significant. So what if he was a Martial Warrior?
In Moon City, he was known as the supreme young genius. Although he was still a three-star Martial Warrior, he had challenged Five-star Martial Masters and won, let alone someone of low birth from a poor family.
Could the lowly born's martial skill compare with the supreme Martial Skill of the Hai Family?
Hai Ming let out a low shout, "Sword Sea Unification!"
His snow-white long sword stabbed through the void repeatedly, leaving behind a sword shadow with each thrust. Hai Ming executed a total of eleven stabs, the eleven shadows instantly merged, forming a pale blue Sword Qi. As Hai Ming thrust his sword for the last time, the pale blue Sword Qi shot forward, colliding with the white Sword Qi.
Sword Sea Unification, one of the three strongest Martial Skills of the Hai Family, was said to reach its ultimate form with one hundred and eight sword shadows converged into a single strike that could pierce through heaven and earth.
Of course, this was only a legend; no one had ever seen those one hundred and eight swords. Even the strongest member of the Hai Family, Hai Batian, could only execute twenty-eight.
However, in Hai Ming's eyes, the eleven Sword Qi stabs he executed with all his might were more than enough to deal with Shi Feng.
Hai Ming seemed to already see the white Sword Qi being shattered by his own, followed by the pale blue Sword Qi continuing its flight, piercing through Shi Feng's body.
But in the next moment, Hai Ming's eyes widened in disbelief, his face the picture of incredulity. He felt as if he was in a nightmare. His family's proud Martial Skill had been countered. The reality before his eyes was the exact opposite of his imagination, as the white Sword Qi eradicated the pale blue one and then continued flying toward him.
Hai Ming's face showed his astonishment, too shocked to react as the Sword Qi approached.
"Pfft!" Sword Qi penetrated Hai Ming's chest, and he was sent flying backward off his horse.
"Ah, no good!" Steward Yue's old face filled with panic as he shouted, immediately springing to his feet and soaring into the air, lunging toward the flying Hai Ming.
Although Hai Ming was struck and thrown, his warhorse continued to charge forward, about to collide with Shi Feng.
Shi Feng's feet pushed off the ground, and with a leap, he jumped over the horse's head and onto its back. With another push, he soared into the air.
"Sword Finger," Shi Feng coldly shouted, targeting the falling Hai Ming below. "Since you want to compete in Sword Qi with me, I'll show you what true Sword Qi is. Open your dog eyes and watch closely, 'Netherworld Sword Rain!'"
The tips of his fingers lit up with white Sword Light again, and then a succession of white Sword Qi burst forth, like a torrential downpour, raining down on Hai Ming.
"Insolent cur, how dare you!" Elder Cang's angry shout suddenly burst forth, and the swiftly approaching Steward Yue caught Hai Ming, then struck upward with his left hand palm: "Sea Accepts All Rivers!"
Pale blue waves appeared above Steward Yue's head, and the white Sword Qi that fell was swallowed up by the waves in an instant.
"Peak Martial Master!" Shi Feng declared solemnly, his body falling when he suddenly noticed a dark figure below: "Five-star Martial Master!"
As soon as Shi Feng spoke, a muffled low shout came from below, "Mountain and Sea Shattering!" It was the Five-star Martial Master Hai Ren taking action!
Shi Feng felt a profound strength surging up from below.
"Netherworld Strike!" Clenching his right fist, Shi Feng controlled his falling body to invert, head downward, and delivered a punch from above.
"Boom!" A dull explosion resonated through the night, "Not good!" Shi Feng exclaimed. Upon contact, he felt the surging strength from below come in waves, one layer stronger than the next, piling on relentlessly.
"Thud!" A stream of fresh crimson blood spurted from Shi Feng's mouth, his body flying backward like a kite with its string cut.
"Facing a martial master, it's still hard to hold my own!" Shi Feng thought to himself in resignation, only he, the madman, would analyze his battle power in such a situation.
With a heavy crash, Shi Feng landed hard on the ground, but this time he didn't sustain any injuries. He had already calculated his landing spot, using Dark Evil to make the ground as soft as a sponge. Touching down even felt somewhat comfortably soft.
Just as Shi Feng was lifting his upper body, he saw a middle-aged man with a resolute face slowly walking towards him. This person was the five-star martial master who had just struck him.
"It's like a tiger being bullied by a dog when it's down, to be sent flying by a martial master. If this gets out, how will I, Emperor Nine Nether, ever show my face?"
Shi Feng couldn't help but smile bitterly within his heart, yet to others, it seemed he was smiling in despair.
"Your talent is indeed noteworthy. Had you not offended the Skywind Sect, my Hai Family might have actually taken you in," Hai Ren said, his face showing a hint of regret.
"Uncle Ren, don't kill him. I want to torture him to death!" An angry roar came from behind Hai Ren, supported by Steward Yue, was Hai Ming.
"Take me in?" Shi Feng couldn't help but burst into laughter as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world, he scoffed, "You think you're worthy?"
Hai Ren no longer intended to speak with Shi Feng. He stepped forward, drew the long sword he had been carrying on his back, and, grasping it with both hands, slashed towards Shi Feng's legs.
Still wearing a carefree demeanor, Shi Feng seemed completely indifferent to the oncoming sword and quietly said two words, "Die."
Hai Ren's sword-gripping hands suddenly halted. The two words spat out by Shi Feng were like a demon's curse, his martial artist's instinct, honed from years of hovering between life and death, screamed danger!
Hai Ren exerted force with his feet and hastily leaped backward.
"Boom!" Just as Hai Ren evaded, where he had just stood, an earth spike as large as a human body, fierce and sharp like the fangs of a beast, burst violently from the ground.
"Boom!" Hai Ren, still arcing backward at a forty-five-degree angle, didn't even get the chance to feel relieved when suddenly another earth spike shot up from the ground behind him, entering through his back and piercing out through his chest.
Silence—a complete silence enveloped the scene.
Everyone stared blankly at Hai Ren's body, hanging motionless on the conical earth spike—a martial master powerhouse dead just like that, inexplicably?
Then, they saw a flash of white light envelop Shi Feng.
Having just devoured the Power of Death from a five-star martial master, Shi Feng advanced a whole stage, stepping into the ranks of a seven-star Martial Apprentice.
Shi Feng leisurely got to his feet, looking around and nodding in satisfaction, he remarked, "Hmm, not bad; if all these people die, I should be able to break into the Martial Warrior Realm."
"This boy is tricky. Everyone attack at once, put all your effort into eliminating him!" Steward Yue bellowed. A five-star martial master had died so mysteriously that no one dared to underestimate this youth who appeared to have only the cultivation of a Martial Disciple.
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
Shouts of "Kill!" rang out from all directions as over twenty martial artists infused their weapons—swords, sabers, spears, long halberds, and others—with Primordial Power, lighting up the night with brilliantly varied colors.
