Chapter 190: Worsening Condition
'Wait a moment. Why did I feel that what happened in the city was boring?'
Cesar asked about some pressing matter to himself, his brows creasing. He couldn't understand that line of thinking since he wasn't like that in the first place.
Cesar knew he would immediately assess the situation as dangerous, knowing they were under attack by one of the armies that the Revolutionary Army possessed.
So his thinking earlier didn't suit him at all.
Unless something was making his thoughts jumbled and disturbed like that, and there was already something that came to his mind.

'It's my freaking Soul… Oh god, I really have to go to the Academy now…'
Rustle—!
Suddenly, Cesar felt a light tap at his back that shifted his gaze. There, he saw Arnold had a mix of emotions plastered on his face.
He wasn't telling anything but everything Cesar needed was Arnold's expression to tell.
He couldn't help but notice lately that he was getting better at reading the faces of each individual which made him a master of distinguishing what their process of thinking were.
Now Arnold's face was asking Cesar indirectly how the hidden helpers managed to wiped out the Five Hundred Strong Men as if they were nothing.
And it was confirmed through his mouth.
"Hey, Cesar. Can I ask who those people are? The green mirror towers… I've never seen something like that in my entire life," Arnold paused, "Of course, if you think I'm crossing the line here, pretend you didn't hear my question,"
'At this point, any answer might satisfy Arnold. I'm sure he already had a lot of questions regarding what happened at the Hidden Village. And now, another one came up… Ugh, that stupid Nightmare. Why would he even heat up fighting humans? If he could've just bought time…'
Cesar's thoughts linger almost instantaneously before giving a reply.
"I can give you some answers… but can we do that while we're out of this city? I badly need to come to the Academy,"
Arnold understood where Cesar was coming from after knowing the unknown condition that he currently possessed which needed the Demonic Wrath of the Academy's attention.
If Cesar continued to prolong this matter any longer, Arnold was even afraid of what would that even become.
"Ah right. Yeah, of course! We'll prepare for our departure the instant the additional men from the Army come to this city,"
Cesar let out a short sigh, "Thanks…"
Then he mused inwardly, 'I really need to think of myself now. I just wished that there would be no additional distractions the moment we took our leave…'
With wishful thinking, Cesar went to a designated spot in the city to talk with Doubt.
…
"Aiya, I apologized. I didn't think this would get you in too much trouble but I got bored trying to think about your plan to stall time and play with them," Doubt let out a cheeky from the soldier he currently possessed before adding, "In the end, the results are all that matters. I took care of those measly humans for you,"
Sitting down on an available bench from the streets while talking with the inconspicuous military soldier beside him, Cesar sighed and replied.
"You're right. There's no use in dwelling on the past now since we won in the end. As for the current condition put on the table, I think I can give you some answers regarding our partnership,"
Doubt tilted his head to the side as if he was really confused before asking, "Answers?"
"Yes," Cesar nodded, "Regarding the entity that tried to tarnish your name and used your background against you, I think I have an idea who that individual might be,"
"Oh really?"
A tinge of curiosity escaped from Doubt's lips.
By the looks of it, no progression was done on the side of the Trinity, and Cesar, a mere human who had a bad condition, was already ahead of them.
"And who is it?"
Cesar paused, "Apathy,"
Doubt's face slowly changed.
There was no hint of playfulness plastered around the face of the soldier as a dangerous aura was slowly emanating from within him.
Doubt sighed, "Instead of mentioning his name, you better call him World's Greatest Watcher or just The Watcher. I'm sure Deceit already mentioned to you about the Watcher's abilities once his name is mentioned, even if it's only a title,"
'Huh, I guess every Nightmare is linked to some kind of title that everyone began to call them once they met each other to not evoke some hidden powers that relate to their names… Like Apathy who can immediately know what individual is trying to mention his name? How intriguing. '
Doubt looked at Cesar's expression who seemed drowned on his thought before voicing out.
"Okay, can you tell me why you came up to this conclusion? Because I will immediately discuss this matter with the other two if the involvement of The Watcher is here,"
Cesar thought about the entity that tried to mess with the Unholy Trinity.
Anything below their position is already out of the topic of the narrow searches since their group is not only the strongest there is but also the most sinister.
Hence the entity that Cesar could only think of is that someone of their caliber was trying to give them a bad image.
'I don't know why they are very careful of leaving a bad image… but I have some suspicions. And it's probably related to the Heretics that this Nightmare has.
Deceit had one Heretic under his banner which was no other than Casper have it.
There's no way that these prominent Nightmares which seemed to be exposed in the matters of this world wouldn't have hundreds under their tutelage which they could use any time.
"How do I start… Ah, well, I guess from the very start,"
Cesar remembered the event that transpired at the Castle Hearth's rooftop and stated.
"When you said that you guys aren't the ones that put the bounty above my head, which I firmly believe so then Apa— The Watcher is the first thing that came to my mind,"
Cesar paused, "As for why, because I already made connections with this Nightmare, even if it's indirectly,"
