Nightmare Assault

Moments later, he heard a static sound from the corridor. The lights in the corridor visibly dimmed. The darkness gradually approached, accompanied by the chill. It was Lee Maoshen and Yu Youwei.

The presence tried to test the door's limit. The door started to cave. The clean walls started to rot. The rot started at the door and began to spread. Time was corrupting the unit. Cracks appeared on the ceiling. The wooden shoe rack next to the door crumbled into dust. The metals rusted…

The pressure chased after Banana Wolf. He wanted to run back into the bedroom, but he stopped himself. He acted panicked as he hid behind the couch. Then, he glanced at the bathroom like he was about to run into it. He calculated the distance and cheered himself on. He needed patience for his plan.

His enemy was very patient. The more they inched into the room, the more cautious the two ghosts became. They had sensed Sister Qing's presence, but they were unwilling to give up on the prey. A human shadow appeared on the corroding wall. The paint peeled off. Mould grew around the shadow. However, the shadow started to move along the wall. Banana Wolf was the target.

But why was there only one shadow?

Banana Wolf looked around. He didn't find the other shadow, but that was impossible. The other ghost would have entered the room too. The next second, the wind blew from the ceiling. A claw swiped at Banana Wolf's face from above. Banana Wolf leaned back and barely escaped. He knew that the other ghost was above him. His goal was to make them come closer to him.

Banana Wolf screamed and ran to the bedroom. The ghost on the ceiling instantly chased after him. The shadow on the wall did the same. They were extremely fast. They were merely testing the water earlier.

At the last moment, Banana Wolf slipped through the bedroom door. Lee Maoshen and Yu Youwei took a break at the door. However, a powerful force yanked them into the room. Just like that, the one man and two ghosts glanced at each other.

"Hehe." Banana Wolf stood up as he tapped away the dust on his clothes. He looked at the two frightened ghosts and said happily, "I finally got you." The two dogs barked when they saw Lee Maoshen. They growled angrily as their eyes turned red. Their claws grew long, leaving behind scary scratch marks on the floor.

Lee Maoshen could guess what would come next. He crashed into the bedroom door crazily. The fragile-looking door appeared to be welded to the wall. No matter how hard Yu Youwei and Lee Maoshen crashed into it, it wouldn't budge.

A bloody shadow walked out of the corner, dragging a giant knife. It glowed dangerously.

When Wen Qing saw Lee Maoshen, her eyes turned crimson. Blood appeared on her face. Her skin looked like it was about to break. Seeing Wen Qing like this, Banana Wolf didn't feel fear. He slowly retreated to the wall. He only felt sad for Wen Qing… and Lin Chen.

"Lee Maoshen…" Wen Qing's voice was hoarse as blood leaked out of her eyes. "Is this how you treat me after what I've done for you?" Her question was deep with hatred. The pictures on the wall started to shatter.

"Lin Chen… Why did Lin Chen die?" Wen Qing raged. "How many people have you harmed?"

Knowing that Wen Qing would not let them go, Lee Maoshen and Yu Youwei shared a look and jumped at her. However, Wen Qing was faster. She hated this man. She swung the knife without hesitation. Lee Maoshen narrowly escaped. However, Yu Youwei managed to leave behind a deep wound on Wen Qing's arm.

Just as Yu Youwei wanted to escape after the attack, the knife landed on her. She staggered and almost fell.

Hatred blinded Wen Qing to the pain. The man caused her all the suffering. Her aura expanded. Lee Maoshen showed a trace of fear. Just as Yu Youwei threw herself at Wen Qing, Lee Maoshen slipped to the bedroom door. He rammed into it. The lock on the door had started to loosen. Even though Lee Maoshen was injured, he still worked hard to escape. He slammed heavily into the door.

He knew that if he kept on doing this, he could eventually escape. As for Yu Youwei… who cares?

Yu Youwei howled angrily when she realised she had been abandoned. They had to work together to hold Wen Qing back barely. Without Lee Maoshen, she barely lasted ten seconds. Wen Qing defeated her easily. Then, the knife widened in Yu Youwei's gaze. Wen Qing slaughtered her.

However, as Wen Qing turned to Lee Maoshen, the latter's body was already half out the door. At that moment, a figure jumped over. Before Lee Maoshen could leave, the person hugged him tightly.

This was not part of Lee Maoshen's plan. He was stunned. When he reacted, he quickly kicked off Banana Wolf. However, it was too late. The bloody shadow had appeared beside him.

The next second, Lee Maoshen stumbled out of the bedroom. After taking a few steps, he plopped to the floor. After all, only his body left the room. His head remained inside the bedroom.

The two impatient dogs ran over and opened their mouths at the human's head.

After Lee Maoshen and Yu Youwei were killed, the chilling presence receded. Wen Qing stood there, gasping heavily as if she were still trapped in the painful memory.

"Sister Qing." Banana Wolf's voice came over softly.
