Night Without End

Chapter 357: Rewriting the Course and Structure of History

Under the long night, the snowfield stretched endlessly. Qin Ming left the forest and had just passed by a village when he overheard two hunters discussing that Ye State was about to "change."

"Brother, what's happened?" Qin Ming walked over to ask.

"Something big has happened, they discovered a new world!" In the frigid weather, a middle-aged man rubbed his red hands, his breath turning to white mist, and ice clung to his beard.

"The sun might rise in the distance!" another old hunter in a sheepskin coat lowered his voice and said.

"?" Qin Ming was immediately puzzled. What was going on? Had he fallen behind? In just over sixty days, the whole world had become unfamiliar.

The old hunter said, "The specific situation hasn't been detailedly passed on to our remote area yet. A traveling merchant mentioned in town that events happening far away are significant enough to rewrite the historical direction and landscape of Ye State."

Qin Ming felt he needed to quickly enter a city. He had merely closed his eyes for a retreat, and it seemed like ages had passed, as if a thousand years had gone by.

Feathery snow fell, layering on the ground and reaching an adult's thigh.

Under the night, Qin Ming ran wildly through the wilderness, snow spraying like a flood dragon traveling across a lake, parting the waters, creating white waves.

The road wasn't very far, and he didn't ride the conspicuous Thunder King Bird.

Qin Ming rushed all the way, nearing the city with a myriad of lights.

Behind him, the cold wind carried snow particles, while ahead of him, the city gate was open, spilling a warm golden glow.

As he walked inside, instantly, it was as if the bustle of the whole city "pressed" upon him in an instant; his ears filled with the cries of vendors, the laughter of children, the lively atmosphere forming a stark contrast with the dead silence of the icy plains behind.

At this moment, Qin Ming felt that nothing was more beautiful than this worldly life.

For the past two months, he had nearly become a wild man, living in the desolate mountains and forests, snow covering the woods, no trace of humanity, only creatures like wolves, deer, boars, and tigers.

He found an inn, took a joyful hot bath, changed into clean clothes, and entered a bustling, brightly lit tavern.

"What, sir, you still don't know? Want to go to the new world, now tickets are hard to get, prices have been bid up to the sky, even the so-called Immortal Seeds and descendants of Earth Immortals are scrambling wildly."

Qin Ming said, "Brother, speak slowly, tell me from the beginning."

He realized profoundly that he might have missed something; some common knowledge news now sounded fragmented to him.

The waiter said, "Sir, it's like this, the upper management here seemed to have been digging holes some time ago, and guess what happened?"

Qin Ming's face suddenly darkened, "You guess, if you let me guess again, what do you think would happen?"

The waiter quickly smiled apologetically, "Dug out a mysterious world!"

Qin Ming pondered, could it be that the experts returning from Pu Gong made an astonishing discovery? Not long ago, they were busy exploring some evil lands, digging deep into relics.

The waiter said, "In that brand-new world, there's morning glow piercing through the night fog, as if a sun could rise again at any time."

Qin Ming was fascinated by the story, finding it hard to understand that merely digging in a forbidden land could lead to another world?

Quickly, he realized he'd been sidetracked by this waiter's story.

"Noon" under Shallow Night arrived, and more people came to dine at the tavern, including many cultivators who inevitably discussed recent major events.

Qin Ming quickly ordered food, not letting the waiter "nonsense" anymore.

Moments later, he learned the truth, the whole thing about upper management digging deeply was complete nonsense; in fact, there were breakthrough developments at the Immortal Tomb, completely opening up the "situation."

"This event belongs to the 'Heavenly Open', the Jinguang Cave connects to a new world, rich in resources, filled with dense Tao Rhythms, many people with backgrounds are scrambling to get there, that area is mysteriously uncharted."

Listening to these cultivators' discussions, Qin Ming gradually pieced together the storyline.

Deep in the Immortal Tomb, an alive Earth Immortal was sealed, and the "knowledge" contained there seemed to transcend the Earth Immortal level, involving the opening of a "gate."

After months of research and analysis, the upper management of Ye State pierced through the last layer of 'window paper' and achieved substantial results.

Of course, relying solely on the "gifts" from the Immortal Tomb wasn't enough; there had been previous reserves and accumulations in this field over different paths, mainly because many incomplete texts and materials were excavated from the regions near Kunleng.

The "gains" from the Immortal Tomb expedited this process, and after thorough research by Ye State's upper management, they successfully opened the mysterious "gate" for the first time.

"Currently, its stability is insufficient; when the time comes, that path to the distance will extinguish, still requiring reinforcement, and strong individuals at overly high levels can't enter, otherwise it will burst the 'gate'. "

Qin Ming naturally became deeply interested, gifting two jugs of fine wine to the table beside him and ordering a few more dishes for them, seeking detailed information.

"Once the initial 'gate' was successfully constructed, its form resembled a tunnel filled with abundant Golden Radiance and misty light, thus this first path leading to a distant world was named Jinguang Cave."

Clearly, Ye State's upper management harbored ambitious plans, intending to open more paths in the future, connecting to different mysterious worlds, each of these "gates" was expected to have its designation, even numbering.

Qin Ming was astonished, this indeed was a grand event capable of reshaping the landscape of Ye State and rewriting the historical direction.

Previously, pioneering outward was difficult, but now with such secret paths, everything would change, making exploring unknown worlds much easier!
