NOVEL NEXT Chapter 88: Battle Against Pain’s Six Paths!
"This guy's chakra… it's even greater than mine!"
At that moment, Nagato no longer underestimated Kaede in the slightest.

In the next instant, the Six Paths of Pain lunged forward to attack Kaede.
The first to strike was the Asura Path.
His body rapidly shifted and transformed, forming several powerful missiles.
The next moment, all the missiles shot straight toward Kaede.
But Kaede simply drew his Kyōka Suigetsu.
"Petty tricks!"
With a flash of sword light, the missiles were sliced cleanly in half before they could detonate, scattering harmlessly around him before finally exploding.
The blast's smoke instantly enveloped him.
Taking the opportunity, the Animal Path quickly formed hand seals and slammed a palm to the ground.
"Summoning Technique: Rhino!"
"Summoning Technique: Chameleon!"
"Summoning Technique: Yatagarasu!"
"Summoning Technique: Hellhound!"
In an instant, four massive summons appeared.
The chameleon vanished into invisibility, the Yatagarasu beat its wings to the skies, and the other two beasts charged straight at Kaede.
At that moment, Kaede's aura flared, blowing away the surrounding smoke.
Facing the oncoming summons, his eyes narrowed.
"Heh, the attacks just keep coming, don't they?"
The enormous rhino was the first to reach him.
Kaede's lips curved upward.
In the next instant, he caught the rhino's horn with perfect precision—then tore the beast upward and slammed it viciously into the charging hellhound.

Both summons cried out in pain, collapsing in a heap and struggling to rise.
Just then, a sharp sound sliced through the air—
The invisible chameleon had launched its attack!
Kaede swung Kyōka Suigetsu in a single, precise slash, severing a long crimson tongue that dropped to the ground.
Against his perception, how could such a beast hide?
"Chirp!"
From above came the piercing cry of the Yatagarasu as it dove, its razor beak aimed directly at Kaede's head.
But even this sudden strike was avoided with a casual step to the side.
These attacks all came in an unbroken chain—
Against any other Kage-level shinobi, such relentless pressure would have been overwhelming.
But for Kaede, they were nothing more than warm-up.
Nagato's true aim was simply to push Kaede into a tight spot.
The Deva Path raised his hand.
"Banshō Ten'in!"
Instantly, Kaede—still midair with no foothold—was pulled toward the Deva Path by an immense gravitational pull.
Yet this only brought him closer to his target.
Kyōka Suigetsu came up in his hand, his arm gathering power—
But before he could reach the Deva Path, a bulky figure leapt out, arms wide.
The Preta Path!
This was Nagato's real plan.
In a single motion, the Preta Path seized Kaede in an unbreakable grip.
"It's over!" the Deva Path declared proudly.
Kaede instantly felt his chakra being absorbed at a rapid pace.
"When he's draining your chakra, you can't move it—or yourself," the Deva Path said coldly.
"So no matter how much you have, it won't last long!"
He stepped toward Kaede with deliberate calm.
But Kaede only smiled.
"As expected of the Rinnegan—your offense really is fierce."
"Unfortunately for you… you're up against me!"
Golden markings flared around his eyes.
In an instant, natural energy surged into his body—rushing along with the Preta Path's absorption!
A second later—
Crack… crack!
The Preta Path's body swelled grotesquely, skin tearing apart—
BOOM!
He exploded into pieces!
"What?!" The Deva Path's eyes widened in disbelief.
It had all happened too quickly for him to react.
Freed, Kaede swung Kyōka Suigetsu in a flash toward the Deva Path.
Shocked, the Deva Path threw up his hands.
"Shinra Tensei!"
The repulsive force slammed against Kaede's blade—yet to the Deva Path's horror, it didn't push the sword away. Instead, the blade pressed steadily closer.
Kaede's cold smile widened.
"I told you—your repulsion is too weak."
In Sage Mode, his own repulsive force was four hundred times stronger than Pain's.
With a final push, Kaede shattered the Deva Path's Shinra Tensei.
Just as the blade was about to strike, the Asura Path—having charged early—finally arrived.
Blades sprang from its body as it slashed for Kaede's back.
If Kaede was cut down, the fight would be over.
But the Uchiha's sword never paused.
"Don't forget—I'm Uchiha!"
"Susanoo!"
In an instant, skeletal chakra armor formed, blocking the blow entirely.
The overwhelming chakra radiated outward.
"Damn it!" Nagato's expression twisted in fury—
That was his friend Yahiko's body! Even if it could be repaired, the thought of damage to it filled him with rage.
Driven by anger, he sent the Asura Path into a suicide attack.
Its body split into three heads and six arms, countless cannons protruding from its frame.
Its bald head cracked open, revealing the machinery inside.
A blinding white light erupted—
"Head Laser Cannon!"
BOOOOM!
The explosion's glare swallowed the forest.
Before the blast hit, the Human Path darted in to grab the Deva Path's remains and retreat.

Without waiting to see if Kaede survived, the Naraka Path acted immediately.
"Summoning: King of Hell!"
The summoned King of Hell's jaws gaped open, swallowing the Human Path whole.
After a moment's chewing, the King of Hell spat him out—fully restored as the Deva Path.
The Deva Path stared into the fading blast.
"Dead?"
Then shook his head. "It won't be that easy."
The words had barely left his mouth when a massive white chakra hand emerged from the smoke, scattering it to reveal Kaede's fully manifested third-stage Susanoo.
Kaede smirked. "At least you know your place."
His gaze shifted to the Naraka Path at the rear.
In the next moment, even the obliterated Preta Path emerged from the King of Hell's mouth, restored.
The Six Paths stood together once again.
"So to destroy you completely… I'll have to take that out first."
Kaede's eyes snapped open.
"Amaterasu!"
Black flames erupted, engulfing the Naraka Path.
The Human Path leapt aside in panic, while Nagato tried to send the Preta Path to assist—
"You think I'll let you?!"
Kaede's Susanoo hurled an enormous Yasaka Magatama, blasting the Preta Path high into the air.
The others could only watch helplessly as the Naraka Path was consumed by black flames.
Susanoo's blade swung toward the remaining Pains.
"Now… it's your turn."
