Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 291: Immortal Sovereign Physique

"Rather than altering your form, it upgrades your race as a whole," Xia Qingyue continued in a serious tone. "It pushes your existence to a level where it becomes exceptionally suitable for immortal cultivation."

"And that is only its most basic function."

She paused briefly before continuing.

"Everything I have explained so far can be achieved simply by cultivating the technique and awakening a lesser physique known as the Three Meridian Immortal Physique."

"This physique forms three distinct meridians within the body. Each meridian corresponds to one of the three primordial elemental spiritual energies of the heavens, allowing the cultivator to absorb and refine them simultaneously."

Xia Qingyue's voice grew heavier.

"Under normal circumstances, cultivating even two elements and comprehending their corresponding laws is extremely difficult and painfully slow."

"But with a physique like this, that difficulty is drastically reduced."

"Such a person can cultivate and comprehend the three heavenly elemental energies together. These elements are recorded in ancient Taoist scriptures as the core structural elements of the world."

"If successful, the cultivator becomes an invincible existence."

Grey listened attentively, his eyes shining with interest.

"From the way you're describing it," Grey said with a faint smile as he glanced toward Evan, "this transformation technique doesn't stop at just one physique."

That conclusion came naturally to him.

Most high level transformation techniques followed similar principles.

For example, the Primordial Human Transformation possessed two defining traits. One was the physique itself. The other was a legendary ability that allowed the user's cells to remember attack patterns, continuously refine combat instincts, and grow stronger through battle until they could instinctively dodge attacks as if peering into the future.

"Correct," Xia Qingyue nodded. "This transformation technique does contain a superior physique."

"But awakening it depends entirely on aptitude."

She took a breath before stating its name.

"It is called the Immortal Sovereign Physique."

Hearing those words, Grey chuckled softly.

"Looks like Evan awakened it."

"Yes," Xia Qingyue replied, her expression carrying a trace of disbelief. "It seems you aren't the only one walking around with cheat-like luck, Grey."

She continued, her tone solemn.

"You might not realize how rare this is. While cultivating the Immortal Sovereign Transformation Sutra, the probability of awakening the Immortal Sovereign Physique is only one percent."

"In other words, the chance is astronomically low."

"Even within the Immortal Sovereign Palace, very few have ever awakened it."

She paused, then added quietly.

"Including myself."

"That alone should tell you how precious and heaven defying this physique truly is."

Grey's interest deepened.

"Of course," Xia Qingyue said, taking a slow breath, "there is a reason for that."

She looked directly at Grey as she spoke the next words.

"This physique is said to possess the potential to stand toe to toe with a powerful saint."

"What?" Grey exclaimed, genuine surprise flashing across his face.

A physique.

One that could contend with a saint.

That revelation alone was enough to shake even his expectations.

"That's right," Xia Qingyue continued. "Those who awaken the Immortal Sovereign Physique will awaken Sovereign Abilities at every evolutionary rank they climb."

"Much like how saints unlock greater authority and power as they advance further along the path of sainthood."

"And that's not all."

Her voice grew heavier.

"Just like saints, their enlightenment capability far surpasses anything we have ever witnessed. In fact, it reaches a level comparable to a saint's enlightenment."

"Right now, Evan is also undergoing enlightenment over the three elements. If nothing goes wrong, he will most likely undergo law transformation using those three elemental laws."

"What did you say… enlightenment?"

Grey's expression stiffened instantly. His playful demeanor vanished, replaced by a locked in, razor sharp focus.

Enlightenment.

There was someone on Blue Star with extremely fast enlightenment speed?

That alone was insane.

And more importantly—

Wasn't that exactly what he wanted?

Someone with absurd enlightenment speed, someone he could observe, analyze, and use to further boost his own comprehension.

But another thought followed immediately.

Evan was already undergoing transformation.

That meant Grey couldn't simply add it to his list of compatible paths the way he normally did.

Unless…

Unless he reverted his own rank back to pseudo status.

Only then would it be possible.

But who in their right mind would willingly regress their cultivation?

Unless they possessed a reliable method to climb back to the peak rapidly afterward.

For now, that option remained unrealistic.

That left him with only one viable path.

Using his heaven defying comprehension to observe Evan's Origin Imprint, fully understand it, and recreate it himself.

Luckily, Evan would remain close to him.

As Xia Qingyue's disciple, Evan would stay nearby for a long time.

That meant Grey could take his time.

And the moment that thought settled—

Grey focused his gaze on Evan.

Instantly, his comprehension activated.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing a Dao Attuned Human, you have comprehended their DNA structure.]

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the Origin Imprint of a Dao Attuned Human, you have gained insight into it.]

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing a Dao Attuned Human in an enlightenment state, you have sensed the hidden frequency and realized their connection to the Information Layer of Laws.]

"Impressive," Grey grinned.

His comprehension truly lived up to its name.

There was nothing it couldn't understand.

No existence it couldn't analyze.

Just then, Grey's brows furrowed.

"One of the infernals died?" he muttered in surprise.

"What happened?" Xia Qingyue asked immediately upon hearing his tone shift.

"Nothing major," Grey replied with a grin. "One of the infernals stationed near the Ice Walls fell."

"And judging from the feedback…"

He paused briefly.

"It's obvious who did it."

"The High Order?" Xia Qingyue thought for a moment before asking.

"Yep." Grey nodded. "Looks like the rats finally crawled out of their den."

He turned his gaze toward the distance.

"I'll be right back. Once this is dealt with, everything will fall under my rule. Completely."

Xia Qingyue simply nodded in response.

Grey glanced at Evan one last time.

Then he shot forward.

As he flew, his form began to change. Scales spread across his body, his aura surged, and his silhouette slowly morphed into that of a dragon as he rushed toward the place where the infernal had fallen.
