Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 271: Applications of Spatial Law

At the same time, a new thought surfaced in his mind.

If there was a way to observe these moments of enlightenment closely, he might be able to comprehend something deeper from them.

For instance, what exactly regulated these connections? What acted as the mediator that allowed enlightenment to form a link with the information layer?

If he could identify that mechanism, wouldn't he be able to enter enlightenment repeatedly?

Something akin to a technique. A method that, once activated, would allow him to enter an enlightened state and greatly enhance his comprehension.

If he truly managed to deduce such a technique, then comprehending every law in this world would no longer be an issue.

The idea was tempting.

But reality was far less cooperative.

Where was he supposed to find someone who could casually enter enlightenment?

There was one certainty, however.

Saints could enter enlightenment with ease. That was precisely why they were so terrifying. Their comprehension far surpassed ordinary evolvers, allowing them to grasp laws at a frightening pace.

And besides, even if he did manage to witness someone entering enlightenment, there was no guarantee that he would gain anything from it.

Still, it was worth a try.

If he found someone in the process of enlightenment, then he would capture that person and lock them away in a dungeon until they helped him deduce a technique.

And if he succeeded, he would generously release them and allow them to live freely.

Coughing lightly, Grey shifted his attention back to what truly mattered.

His spatial powers.

By now, getting distracted had become a habit. Strangely enough, those distractions were always beneficial. Only during such moments did he think deeply. Most of the time, his mind remained in a resting state.

No thoughts. Brain empty.

Nodding to himself, Grey's saint eye flickered.

In the same instant, the world around him changed.

He released his mind perception as well. The result was identical.

The scenery before him no longer resembled a natural world shaped by mountains, skies, and flowing energy. Instead, reality peeled back its outer layer, revealing something far colder and far more precise.

A mathematical world.

Countless points of light hovered in space, each one fixed in position, yet subtly trembling. Lines connected them in complex patterns, forming invisible frameworks that stretched endlessly in every direction. Some lines were thick and stable, others thin and constantly fluctuating, as if they were on the verge of snapping.

These were spatial nodes.

They marked points where space intersected with itself, where structure was reinforced, or where distortions naturally formed. Every mountain peak, every river bend, every boundary of the secret realm was anchored by countless such nodes.

Between them existed joints.

Invisible hinges that allowed space to fold, stretch, compress, and recover.

Grey could see how distance was defined, not by length, but by the density and arrangement of nodes. Areas with tightly packed nodes felt solid and resistant, while regions where the nodes were sparse appeared fragile, easily influenced by force or will.

Movement itself followed these structures.

When he imagined stepping forward, his gaze naturally traced a path across connected nodes, calculating the most stable route without him consciously intending to do so. Space felt less like an empty medium and more like an intricate construct, governed by rules, balances, and constraints.

"So this is spatial perception." Grey smiled thoughtfully.

Spatial perception was the ability he obtained after comprehending the Spatial Law to minor succession.

The ability to perceive spatial nodes, recognize weak points, and instinctively grasp how space was structured at any given moment. Teleportation, folding, sealing, and distortion were no longer abstract concepts.

Everything made sense to him!

It was a matter of using his spatial power which is converted from his own energy as the evolver to alter those nodes.

For example.

Grey focused on a node far away from him, a place filled with heavy mountains and towering trees. It was located on the opposite side of the secret realm within his mind perception. Spatial power erupted from him, space instantly distorting as his figure blurred out of existence.

When he appeared again, he was already standing beside the mountains and tall trees.

A grin formed on Grey's face.

Teleportation!

He could teleport freely within the range of his mind perception!

Spatial perception and spatial power was not dependent on comprehension of the law. Instead, it relied on one's evolutionary power. The higher the life level, the greater the range and power, and right now, without mind perception, the ability to perceive space would not have been particularly impressive.

But with mind perception, that limitation no longer existed!

With his mind perception, the range was higher!

And things were not limited to teleportation alone.

He could expand or fold space itself.

Grey looked around him.

The area where he appeared was densely packed with towering trees. There was barely enough space to move without destroying the surrounding vegetation.

But for someone who wielded space, space itself was no longer a restriction.

Spatial perception!

The world once again transformed into nodes within his vision. In this region, countless nodes were clustered tightly together.

"Perfect." Grey smiled faintly as spatial power converted from Nexus energy surged outward.

Instantly, the tightly packed nodes were forced apart.

Reality distorted for a split second, and in the next moment, the space surrounding Grey began to expand violently.

What had once been a cramped clearing expanded sharply, growing large enough to accommodate an entire football stadium.

Yet Grey did not stop.

He was experimenting.

He wanted to see just how far it could go.

The expansion continued, nodes stretching in all three directions as the surrounding space was forcibly pulled apart. Eventually, the nodes began to tremble violently, instability spreading through the area.

Then.

Boom!

In the next moment, the nodes detonated one after another. Space in all three directions twisted chaotically as tears began to form within reality itself.

Space was torn apart as rifts violently opened.

Immediately after, chaotic currents of space surged forth from the rifts that opened.
