Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 165: Ascension Province (6)

"Where did master go?" Evan was stunned.

He looked inside the space within him, inside a ball of light inside his elixir field to be specific, and that was where the immortal lady resided. He realized that she had gone to sleep.

However, it did not make sense. She had been standing there completely fine, then she vanished like a bug inside a game.

He turned to Grey, who stood there with a thoughtful expression, completely different from his normal one a second ago.

He knew what this meant.

"Brother Grey. Did my master use her time ability again?" Evan asked cautiously.

"Yes." Grey nodded. "She wanted to talk about something to me."

However, hearing Grey's words, both Alissa and Lia had a drastic change of expression.

"Stop time?" They both spoke in unison.

"Did you just say she stopped time?" Lia added.

For a brief moment, they did not know what to say anymore.

What was time? It was one of the building blocks of the world and something that kept flowing continuously.

Yet this senior who appeared to be Evan's master could actually stop time.

They knew that fourth rank beings could manipulate space, but time was something else entirely.

Nobody had even heard about being able to sense its existence yet.

They finally realized.

This senior was not ordinary at all.

She was someone extremely powerful, and they should have already deduced it when Eterna itself arrived at her casual call and addressed her as the Esteemed One.

"This senior... just how powerful is she?" Lia inquired.

It piqued her curiosity very much.

"Powerful beyond your imagination." Grey glanced at her and spoke. "She can probably destroy the entirety of Blue Star if she wanted to."

"What?!" The two girls and Evan all exclaimed at the same time.

"Master is that strong?"

Evan himself did not know the true capabilities of his own master. She had not even revealed much to him. He just knew she was strong and thought she was some old master from several hundred years ago.

Both Lia and Alissa fell silent when they heard this.

"Destroy Blue Star itself?" Alissa frowned.

By that logic, did that not mean this senior was a being capable of destroying worlds? How could such a small Blue Star accommodate someone as powerful as her?

Alissa had a realization.

This senior.

She was not from Blue Star.

She might be someone beyond the sky just like her mother.

A ripple of emotion spread across Alissa's face which was quickly hidden by her.

At the same time, she also realized that Grey seemed to have already known this senior and her capabilities.

Did that mean he also knew about the world beyond the skies?

Alissa would not doubt it.

Her brother was already very shrouded in mystery. The last time she was able to see through him was before he underwent metamorphosis and became an evolver. Now whenever she gazed at him, nothing came up, it was like an impenetrable barrier was in the way between her probing and Grey.

Also considering the fact that he was a reincarnated being, could that mean he came from a different world as well?

She glanced at Grey's face. This guy knew a lot more about things than what met the eye. He just did not tell anyone about it or share it with anyone.

And the fact that someone went crazy after seeing something about him only made Alissa more curious.

Just what was her brother now?

He was a completely different being from two months ago.

Not only that, he was actually someone with second rank citizenship.

How was that even possible?

Alissa decided she had to investigate.

She had to start closely observing Grey starting now.

Of course, it was to find out the truths he knew about. He would not reveal them if she asked, that was for certain.

Hence, starting today, she would stay close to Grey.

For the sake of finding her mother and finding out about the world beyond the skies.

"Anyways." Grey spoke again. He turned to Little Hong and pointed at her before speaking.

"She is called Little Hong." Grey said evenly. "You should have already heard me speaking to the senior before, but she is something I found from the secret realm near Ashspire City."

"She is actually from the secret realm?" Lia was stunned.

She observed Little Hong more closely, and whenever she looked, she felt as if she was looking at someone very familiar.

Almost as if she had seen her before.

Lia believed this was no coincidence. With her seeing those strange dreams of a different world and awakening a new set of memories and knowledge which she had not shared with anyone yet, she believed that there was something going on with Little Hong.

In the first place, how could such a little girl emerge from inside a secret realm?

She knew about the secret realm, and so did Alissa and Evan.

This secret realm was known across all of the southern region. The one near Ashspire City was the most unusual secret realm in the entire region, and it would be far more surprising if they did not know anything about it.

That was when Little Hong also noticed Lia.

The instant she saw Lia, Little Hong had a curious expression on her face.

Letting go of Grey's pinky, she walked up to Lia, much to everyone's surprise.

She stopped right in front of Lia and stared at her while looking up.

Seeing this, Lia for some reason felt a rush of emotion. The child came to her, and for some reason, she felt overjoyed.

She crouched down to Little Hong's height and patted her head.

And to Grey's surprise, Little Hong let her do it.

"Hello." Lia gave Little Hong a beautiful smile and spoke. "Are you called Little Hong? My name is Lia. You can call me Sister Lia if you like."

"Un." Little Hong nodded. "Sister Lia."

Then Little Hong stared at her for a brief moment and formed a telepathic connection with Lia.

"Sister Lia, are you related to my brother?"

However, when Lia heard the telepathy, she was dumbfounded.
