When my vision finally returned, I found myself in a place filled with lush forests. The smell of fresh air and the sunlight were a welcome change after the pure darkness that felt like an eternity.
"Finally, I almost died of boredom," I chuckled aloud as I stretched my legs and arms, relishing the sound of my own voice.
In that godforsaken place, it was so dark that even sound didn't seem to exist.
The only thing to relieve my boredom was talking to myself. Luckily, I was an expert at it, so I was able to persevere.
Who knew that being a little bit crazy would be useful someday?
Not just that, but that place didn't even let me catch a wink of sleep. I didn't feel any physical tiredness there, but mentally? Oh boy, It was hell.
Well, at least I got some perks out of it. After that ordeal, I could feel that my Mind Power increased a lot.
I didn't have the system interface, but I estimated that I probably reached 250+ in Mind Power .
It was a big leap considering I only managed to reach this high with the help of Alice and the five girls before.
"Now where the hell did my system send me?" I questioned aloud. I was hoping it would teleport me back to Earth, but it didn't seem to be that way.
I didn't recognize the types of trees growing around me; they were massive and towering. Their roots alone were so big, it felt like something out of a fantasy novel.
To get a better view, I decided to fly up.
As I ascended, the dense green forest stretched out beneath me.
The trees formed a thick carpet, their tops swaying gently in the breeze. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating shifting patterns of light and shadow on the forest floor.
From above, I could see the winding rivers cutting through the landscape. They shimmered in the sunlight, casting reflections that danced on the water's surface.
Beyond the rivers, rugged mountains rose up, their peaks dusted with snow.
Amidst this landscape, one thing caught my eye: an old structure. It stood out against the greenery, its silhouette stark against the nature.
Intrigued, I flew towards it to get a closer look.
When I arrived, I felt that this structure was very familiar.
"Wait... This thing looks like a building from Earth," I mused.
As I observed further, I realized that the structure was indeed the upper part of a tall building.
"Let's see," I knelt down on the floor and touched it.
When I felt the ground, I could sense that below it lay the rest of the structure, buried over time by the encroaching soil.
"Advance Map Tracker," I activated my skill and attempted to map out the area underground.
With no electronics to aid me, I relied on my Telekinesis, sending waves underground as an alternative method.
As expected, there were other structures below. This heightened my curiosity, and I could even discern some shapes resembling cars, as well as human bones.
'Did the system send me to another planet like Earth?' I pondered, stroking my chin.
That was one of the few possible explanations I could come up with.
After all, aliens with advanced technology do exist, so the possibility of being on another world with similar technology and design to Earth was highly possible .
To get more information, I decided to enter the building and search for clues. Who knows what secrets lay within this ruined structure.
Unfortunately, almost everything inside was so old that it had already decomposed .
Only the metals and some hard objects remained. I estimated that this thing had been sitting here, rotting away, for at least a few centuries .
'Maybe the lower part still have some useful items,' I mused.
The underground might have preserved parts of the building better under the right conditions.
With that thought, I concentrated, channeling my Telekinesis into my hands.
Slowly, I extended my arms toward the ground, feeling the energy surge through me. As I focused my mind, the earth beneath me began to tremble, the soil shifting and parting under the force of my power.
With a low rumble, the ground split open, revealing the hidden depths below.
Rocks and debris scattered as I continued to manipulate the earth, carving out a path downwards. Gradually, the hole widened, exposing more of the buried structure with each passing moment.
Finally, after a couple of minutes of digging, I found something that could be of use: a vault. I opened it up, hoping there was something useful, and I was not disappointed.
Inside, I found some documents, and I was shocked to see that they were all written in Korean language.
And not just that, I also discovered a bunch of Korean bills vacuum-sealed, bearing the same design as those from before I left.
"Wait, don't tell me the system locked me in that place for centuries!" My blood ran cold at the thought.
If that was the case, it meant that I had really been gone for that long, and the world end up being destroyed after I was gone.
'Fuck this! This isn't a funny joke at all,' I gritted my teeth in anger. This had to be some kind of sick prank. There was no way this could be real.
In a fit of anger, I ended up flying upward, bursting a big hole in the ground.
Above the sky I hovered my frustration still boiling over.
"Quantum Magnet!" I roared, my voice echoing as I pulled everything from below the ground. With my increased control over Quantum Magnet, I could now lift a huge chunk of area with ease.
The ground below me trembled.
Slowly but steadily, it began to rise, the earth groaning and shifting with each passing moment. Cracks snaked across the surface as the ground lifted, revealing the hidden structures below.
When the whole area was excavated, I was finally able to see everything with clarity.
"You gotta be kidding me, this is Seoul. What the hell happened?" I exclaimed, disbelief and shock filling my voice.
