Chapter 453: Void of Hearts

ZDEN - BUILDING

"Where are you Darling?" Elaine sighed deeply, her heart in turmoil as she pondered in her desk.

It had been 15 days since each of Zyden's followers felt a sense of disconnection, as if their ties to him had been severed. Despite this, their loyalty persisted due to the oath they had sworn.

Meanwhile, his harem remained loyal to him out of genuine love. He had treated them fairly, providing them with better lives, so they were all saddened by this turn of events.

They began to feel down as they lingered in their well furnished rooms. They even attempted to engage in social interactions with one another, but it proved insufficient to mend the void in their hearts.

Moreover, Zyden wasn't the only one missing; even the six girls were nowhere to be found.

This left them understaffed and incapable of taking any actions regarding the new era of the world. Explore new worlds at empire

It was a good thing that Kanon was there, she suggested they adapt and make use of Cerebrum South Korea to buy some time.

Externally, they appeared to be following orders, but internally, they continued to work for Zyden.

"What's our next move?" Kanon inquired, having been granted authority by Zyden to assume command in his absence.

Elaine remained silent. Without him, there was a gap in leadership, leaving them adrift without direction.

They realized how much easier their lives were with him around. While he might not always take an active role in operations, he had a knack for knowing just what to say and do at the right moments.

"Let's just wait for him… We are useless without him" Elaine replied with a sad voice. There was nothing they could do but wait. The world had undergone a transformation, and now everyone was on edge.

"That's not true! We need to stick together now more than ever," Kanon emphasized, her voice tinged with determination. "We may not have his guidance now, but I know that he believed in us"

Elaine nodded and smile, realizing that they were trained to do this.

"You're right, Kanon. We can't afford to let ourselves fall apart just because he isn't here. We'll find a way to be useful "

"Let's gather as much information as we can," Kanon suggested, a spark of determination lighting up her face. "When he returns, we'll be ready to present our findings to him."

"Agreed," Elaine replied, her eyes reflecting a newfound sense of purpose. "The more we can learn, the better,"

Tokyo Japan.

Yuki found herself seated at her desk, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Shaman Clans.

With the enhanced warriors Zyden had created, they managed to fend off Cerebrum, but it was only the beginning of their struggles.

The sightings of Yokai had surged, and they were now brazenly attacking in the open. The tension was getting higher, and she knew they needed more manpower to maintain control.

"Where are you, Master..." she sighed, feeling the disconnection in her heart. It was more intense than usual, given that Zyden had dominated her.

A knock on the door jolted her from her thoughts, and when it opened it was a messenger reporting that someone wanted to talk to her.

When Yuki asked about it, she almost felt a chill running in her spines. It was Shao Mi.

"What does she want?" Yuki asked, her heart racing.

Shao Mi, the leader of one of the most powerful families in Asia, had actually come to visit her.

Yuki, who once had been oblivious to the existence of these clandestine families, now found herself grappling with the newfound knowledge she had gained after conquering Japan.

It was a reminder of how little she really knew about the world beyond her previous perceptions. In comparison, Cerebrum seemed like a mere inconvenience when faced with the hidden dangers lurking in the shadows

Among the things Yuki had learned was about Shao Mi, renowned for her strength and unparalleled beauty.

While she hadn't seen her firsthand, even someone like Yuki couldn't help but be intrigued by the notion of someone so captivating as to earn such a title.

"She didn't leave a message, Empress. She just asked to speak with you in person." The messenger bowed respectfully .

"Alright, I'll meet her," Yuki declared, rising to her feet.

If Shao Mi had come all this way and was willing to talk, it must mean she hadn't come seeking violence.

At the same time, the most formidable shamans in Japan had was here to protect her. They were all empowered by her master, so she was confident .

In the hall

Yuki stepped forward, walking boldly through the throne room, her long, flowing black hair swaying gently behind her.

Her crimson-colored kimono billowed in the breeze, its intricate patterns of dragons and phoenixes seeming to dance across her body.

Her bodyguards, powerful Shaman flanked her on either side, their eyes scanning the crowd for any signs of danger.

As she neared the throne, she could see Shao Mi seated on an elegant chair facing it, her expression unreadable.

"Greetings, Empress of the Shaman Clans," Shao Mi said, her melodic voice ringing through the throne room.

"I trust you are all well." Her words were formal, but they carried a hint of uncertainty that sent a shiver down Yuki's spine.

'Too beautiful,' was the only way Yuki could describe her. Despite her own attractiveness, Yuki couldn't help but feel overshadowed by Shao Mi's beauty.

"We are well, Lady Shao Mi," Yuki replied, bowing her head respectfully. "What brings you here to our humble abode?"

Shao Mi's gaze flickered briefly toward Yuki before smiling.

"I have come to propose an alliance, Empress Yuki. The forces of my family and the Shaman Clans must join together if we are to survive the darkness that approaches." Her words were soft-spoken, but they carried the weight of centuries of tradition and power.

Yuki felt a mixture of surprise and anticipation well up inside her.

An alliance between the Shaman Clans and her was unprecedented, but it also made perfect sense.

Together, they could stand against the growing threat of the new era.
