Netori System: The Curse of Great Alchemist

Chapter 160 - The Creation of New Potion

On the opening day of his Alchemist shop which was still quiet and had no customers. Arthur was busy reading an Alchemist book that had been recommended by his Netori System curse.

It was a book that had an element of understanding the concept of magic with Alchemist science that gave birth to an Alchemist potion that contained magic in it.

With the new knowledge gained after completing the Netori Quest given by his Netori System curse, Arthur felt like he still had enough time to make himself a legendary Alchemist who would be remembered by future Ateliers.

"This is an interesting book," Arthur muttered softly as he read a few pages that made him focus when reading it.

"Who would have thought that giving a touch of magic to Alchemist equipment would change the quality of Alchemist potions to have a difference of up to seventy percent," Arthur muttered softly again with his eyes excited like a child who found sweet candy on the street.

"Yes, but which crazy person would do this non-stop until their magic capacity runs out to make just one Alchemist potion?"

With various small questions, Arthur's mouth came out with his eyes that finished reading one chapter of the Alchemist book, a curiosity began to arise in Arthur's mind.

"In theory, this is indeed useful."

"But in practice, no Atelier has tried it."

"Looking at the necessary ingredients, I still have them and I don't think there will be a problem trying to make it in a quiet shop like this, right?" with thoughts filled with other possibilities and the answers that Arthur wanted to get, it made Arthur want to do a small experiment in his shop.

Arthur immediately got out of the counter that was the center of customer service and rushed towards one of the Alchemist equipment that was neatly arranged in his shop.

Because the windows of Arthur's Alchemist shop looked clean without any stains, it made several people see what Arthur was doing clearly. Arthur looked like an old man who was about to do his little activity as an Atelier who would make Alchemist potions to sell at his shop.

Right next to Arthur's Alchemist equipment, there was a storage cabinet made of glass coated with time-stopping magic. With such expensive equipment and ingredients, some people were quite hesitant to enter Arthur's Alchemist shop which looked expensive and not much different from the price list at other Alchemist shops in the Royal Capital of Belfast.

However, there was one big difference that made some people who were observing Arthur amazed. From behind the windows that showed his activities as an Atelier, they saw Arthur's hand movements that looked like a professional veteran who was making Alchemist potions elegantly and beautifully.

What Arthur was doing this time was an Alchemist potion aimed at treating minor and moderate wounds. The combination of two wounds theoretically could not be done because the concentration of raw materials and processing techniques were different. However, with the emphasis on the magic given, it would make Alchemist potions with different raw materials have two of the same effects.

If Arthur could successfully make this potion, then it would make the people watching him even more interested in becoming customers at his shop.

Arthur took some fresh raw materials that were in the storage cabinet of his Alchemist shop. Some wild grasses that contained poison and wild mushrooms that contained deadly poison would be the main raw materials in making the Alchemist potion this time.

"Damn, the raw materials written in this book have two sides of the coin."

"Whether it will be poison or medicine, it depends on the Atelier's ability."

"Should I gamble on the recipe given by this Alchemist book?"

With a slightly hesitant expression after seeing the two poisonous raw materials in front of his eyes, Arthur hoped a little that this was not a prank created by his Netori System curse.

With extraordinary caution, Arthur returned to reading the Alchemist book recommended by his Netori System curse carefully until entering its second chapter.

Arthur's cold sweat and some confused looks began to appear, it made him have to take some Alchemist potions that were in his shop window out. Arthur took a few small steps to make sure the additional raw materials had been prepared perfectly. Without leaving any carelessness in the process of making Alchemist potions, Arthur hoped that what he would make would produce medicine rather than poison.

At the stage where he had read the second chapter, Arthur then read the chapter when it contained the procedures for making and the processes that must be considered during the production of Alchemist potions in progress. The slightest mistake would make the Alchemist potion that Arthur was making become a deadly poison that could kill an adult dragon that was immune to poison.

Even adult dragons that were immune to the poison would lose to a deadly poison like this. That was why Arthur focused his eyes on every text and paragraph to avoid fatal mistakes that would later make poison rather than medicine.

Cold sweat filled Arthur's face when the procedure for making this Alchemist potion was more complicated compared to making an Alchemist potion that made someone young again only with raw materials from target body parts that kept traces of the same youth such as bones, teeth, and hair.

Compared to what Arthur did to make Rei recover from her careless actions to the point of dying. This was much more difficult because the raw materials were very dangerous because of the very high intensity of the poison.

Arthur forced his concentration to the maximum point and made the people who were watching him stop for a moment. They seemed to see Arthur making a difficult decision about what he would make with such poisonous raw materials.

Among the people who were watching Arthur, several students from the Belfast Royal Academy and the Belfast Kingdom security were monitoring the situation.

Arthur's reading speed seemed quite high, Arthur read the third chapter from beginning to end several times and repeated it up to seven times. With his thoroughness and caution, he didn't want the Alchemist potion he was going to make to fail in the middle of the creation.

After making sure that there was no problem with the third chapter, Arthur continued to read the fourth and fifth chapters before closing the Alchemist book he was reading with a serious expression.

Arthur then threw the book he had read before into his storage magic. His old, serious face was now staring at the poisonous magic grass, poisonous magic mushrooms, and the Alchemist potion that looked like rat poison from the seal on the glass bottle lid.

Without using any additional equipment, Arthur with his bare hands that were not protected by a handkerchief immediately flooded his hands with magic light and held all the ingredients in his hands.

The poisonous magic grass was immediately squeezed tightly by Arthur's hands until it formed a paste that looked like porridge and mixed with the poisonous magic mushrooms that were also squeezed into porridge.

The two pastes formed a deadly poison that made the people who were looking at Arthur open their mouths wide. In their eyes, Arthur was like a crazy Atelier who was making Alchemist potions with poisonous raw materials without protection.

There were several security forces who wanted to come in and stop Arthur's crazy actions but were stopped by his co-workers to witness what Arthur was doing further.

The next thing Arthur did was to put the two mixtures of poisonous plants that had become porridge into one of the Alchemist's glass bottles containing rat poison potions.

The three poisons that were mixed were immediately flowed by Arthur's magical energy which looked small but the intensity of his magic had been precisely regulated. With the movement of his hands that looked like shaking a bottle of drink that was being mixed with alcohol, now Arthur looked like a bartender who was mixing two drink ingredients in his hands that were being bathed in magical energy.

With the movement of his hands rotating and regulating the flow of magic in his hands, Arthur began to show a miracle of Alchemist science to the people who were watching him.

The glass bottle that was in his hand immediately glowed along with the overflow of magical energy in Arthur's hand which slowly disappeared. After the movement of his hand that was shaking the Alchemist potion mixture in his hand was finished, Arthur immediately put down the glass that now contained three deadly poisons.

The glass cup containing the three deadly poisons seemed to emit a bright blue light and resonated with the magic released by Arthur. With Arthur's face smiling with satisfaction, it made the people who were watching him get some important things in their heads like what Alchemist potion he had made.

Arthur immediately took a small knife not far from him and cut his palm with a small wound. It made some people who were watching him surprised and continued with a trial by Arthur who applied one drop of the Alchemist potion that he had made.

When one drop of the Alchemist potion consisting of three deadly poisons hit the cut wound on his palm, a strange magic light immediately filled the small cut wound on Arthur's palm and immediately closed the wound until it healed without leaving a scar.

The sight made the people who saw it speechless. Even the students who were studying at the Belfast Royal Academy were amazed when they saw it. Until someone who had been watching him since earlier entered Arthur's Alchemist shop.

Krrinngg...

While Arthur was busy with his little experiment, he was surprised by a new customer who suddenly came into his shop. The Alchemist potion that Arthur had just created almost fell and made his little experiment in vain.

"New customer?" Arthur muttered softly, trying to stay calm after being surprised by the appearance of his new customer.

Arthur observed his new customer.

A young woman wearing a student uniform from the Belfast Royal Academy.

"Umm... excuse me... may I know what that Alchemist potion is?" she asked, seemingly unable to make small talk to make conversation until she jumped to the point of the question that was her curiosity.

With the Alchemist potion still in Arthur's hand, he turned around and showed the Alchemist potion he had just made using three poisonous raw materials that had an impossible effect to heal a wound.

When Arthur's body turned around, the young girl was surprised after seeing a pin that showed Arthur's identity which had become a legend spread throughout the Belfast Royal Academy.

"N-No way, Y-You are the holder of the legendary Alchemist pin that only the ten geniuses of Atelier who have been recognized by the seven kingdoms have?!" she said with a shocked expression and suddenly scream like a maniac.
