Netori: Stealing The Hero's Party!

Chapter 523: Dispute Amongst The Children Of Batimos

Bapitoms, the god of plagues, disease and all things profane. Death would've been his realm had Murdok not bore any children, but with Atheina trapped in her prison and him having no way to get to her, he was forced to stay in his place, for death would never be his domain.

Like the leeches he commands, he feasts on the lively and the faithful, drawing their strength to boast himself, he stands amongst the many gods that see no use for their flock other than being their servants.

Stooping so low as to use the powers of his enemies–the demon lord- he corrupted his land himself and used his zombified followers as a means to draw on their power. Every second of their existence was spent in a stupor, all the while, in their minds they chanted his praises and prayed to him nonstop. The few moments they drew clarity were often used to perform necessary tasks like eating and commuting, however, beyond that the people had little control over themselves.

Being the only ones free of movement and thought, the party of his chosen gathered at an inn. They've been tasked with something they never could've imagined, the murder of another god's chosen by the parasitic horror that rested on their queen's crown. Monty was thrown into prison, his mind laid bare by the bracelet forced on his hand, but then the boy was far from broken–for the memory of his sister alone wouldn't let him relinquish all control to the horror.

Watching him struggle against that bracelet, screaming at the top of his lungs and rolling around on the floor, the false heroes have been struck with great angst at what the heroes could do if a mere spy was capable of withstanding so much. A child of Athenian land, blessed with her bounty, immune to most diseases and mind control, Monty was just another kid on that plateau with just more than average talent, but to the party of the false heroes, his resilience was beyond scary.

"How the fuck did he resist the thing?!" Slamming a mug of beer against the table, Felix grunted in anger.

The rest of the members sitting around him on the table jumped for a moment at the loud noise, but as soon as their hearts settled, their eyes lifted to their self-proclaimed leader. Read exclusive chapters at empire

"Calm down, we can't afford to lose our cool in this situation!" Hilma retorted, irked by her nephew's rash actions.

Shifting nervously in her chair, Jenna's lips parted as well, but as though reeled in by some demon down her throat, her tongue refused to utter even a word. In contrast to her, Astra–the redhead demi-cat and the childhood friend of Felix, remained glued to the leader's sides and guzzled booze carelessly.

"W-who c-cares!" Hiccuping as she spoke, few words made sense out of her mouth, even so, the demi-human continued with her blabber. "We'll gaa…get them tomorrow! Wh-wha…coowld theuy do! We..hab a swong groapp!"

"Geez, how much did she drink?" Reaching forward to separate the girl from her nephew, Hilma heaved a sigh and continued in a whisper. "It's not that I don't believe in us, but it's just…we haven't gone out of this city to spread lord Batimos's gospel and these guys have crossed the ocean apparently."

Grunting some more at the reminder, Felix watched as Hilma leaned forward across the table and seated Astra upright. Her words brought him anger, even a tinge of frustration for she was meant to be their mentor and if he couldn't do something, then the only one at fault was her.

"THEN WHY DID YOU TAKE US OUT YOU BITCH!" Grabbing his mug, he splashed the remaining beer on top of her.

Feeling the wetness hitting her scalp, Hilma pulled herself back in a jolt. Touching her head and feeling a sticky feeling seeping through her hair strands, she cursed her fate before trying to wash it off with a hand towel lying on another table.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" Screaming at her nephew, she glared at him like a panther trying to intimidate a rival. However, being as drunk as he was, instead of apologising Felix decided to throw the mug to her face. Before it could hit her, she swung her fist and shattered it into bits in mid-air. A few pieces went flying towards Jenna's face–and that was finally enough to make the girl jump out of her seat and rush into her room upstairs.

"And now look at what you did!" Felix complained some more as he watched his crush running away.

"I?! YOU THREW THAT MUG AT ME!"

"Who c-cares…Ehehe?" Breaking the quarrel between the two was Astra's inappropriate touching of Felix's groin and the caress of her hand on his beer-reddened cheeks. "Fogeet t-thews twaos, less gaww to year room."

Catching only a glance of the girl stroking her nephew's slight boner, Hilma quickly looked away and decided to head upstairs as well.

"We're gonna plan this out tomorrow, don't you dare cause another scene then!" With that said, the shield of the group left the duo to themselves. Although not as interested in her as she was in him, Felix let Astra do whatever it was that she wanted for a while before he decided to take her upstairs.

Being virgins despite they'd committed too many lewd acts upon each other as a way to ease their frustration, and today the duo were about to do the same–touching each other down there and making out with more than the superior pair of lips. However, not a few seconds after their bodies hit the bed, the two slept like logs completely unaware that instead of hunting the heroes in the lower city, the heroes would come to them–or rather their queen with a prospect that could spell the end for their privileged lives in this shackled city for the corrupted.

A city flooded with horrors with a keeper on its head as well as a god puppeteering this whole play, Raven and his party had a lot of work to do, and Athenia was ready to make her claim. What better place to train soldiers for an army meant to fight the corrupted, than a city flooded with corruption to raise them and their senses in? A possibly fatal plan, but it was better to fail in practice than on the field–or at least that is what Athenia assumed her father thought when he built his own army of mortals.
