Chapter : Information ( Nearly everything you need to know before reading )
I don't know whether many people realize how much more than is ever written there really is in a story—how many parts of it are never told—how much more really happened than there is in the book one holds in one's hand and pores over. Stories are something like letters. When a letter is written, how often one remembers things omitted and says, "Ah, why did I not tell them that?" In writing a book one relates all that one remembers at the time, and if one told all that really happened perhaps the book would never end. Between the lines of every story, there is another story, and that is one that is never heard and can only be guessed at by the people who are good at guessing. The person who writes the story may never know all of it, but sometimes he does and wishes he had the chance to begin again.
When I began working on "Echoes of Redemption: A Quincy's Tale in the Walking Dead" (the previous title of the story you're reading now), it was just a fleeting thought that grew into something more. After finishing Tite Kubo's manga "Bleach" and chatting about it with a friend over coffee, I found myself drawn to the final villain of the series. This character captivated me in a way I hadn't seen in other stories. Kubo's portrayal of him is both unique and deeply intriguing, and although his backstory is undeniably tragic, that's not the sole focus here. This is about exploring that depth and giving you a fresh perspective. You're here to gain insights about the content of the story so let's not waste your time anymore.

Choice Voting
Every chapter will have one or more outcomes to pick a choice for (Sometimes with different characters). To vote for an outcome, specify what outcome(s) you're participating in and what option you are voting for. You will be given a time limit to vote (usually one day). Any votes after the time limit has expired will not be counted. I'll give you an example
Example:
Let's say you and your friends are planning a weekend outing, and you need to decide between a few activities. Here's how you might handle the voting:
Activity Options for the Weekend Outing
A) Hiking in the Mountains: Enjoy a day in nature with a scenic hike and a picnic.
B) Visiting the Museum: Explore new exhibits and learn something new at the local museum.
C) Movie Marathon at Home: Have a cozy day watching a series of your favorite movies at home.
To Vote:
Specify Your Choice: In your message, mention which activity you're voting for. For example, "I vote for A) Hiking in the Mountains."
Submit Your Vote: Send in your vote before the deadline. Votes received after the deadline will not be considered.
Voting Deadline: You have until Friday at 5 PM to cast your vote.

Main Characters
Throughout the story, some characters will be promoted to main characters. The main characters decide most major outcomes with only a few non-main character exceptions. (You will vote for a choice as these characters). Main characters will be marked in brackets next to their name as [M]. At the end of every arc, all the characters currently known to be alive will have info displayed, indicating if they're eligible to be a future main character. Eligible characters aren't guaranteed to be main characters. It will still depend on your outcomes. During each chapter, you will sometimes play as a main character. Some other times, no main characters are selected, and you just view the plot.

Relationships
The relationships other characters have with our main characters will be tracked and displayed at random points throughout the story (It's always displayed at the end of an arc). (Later in the story, it'll only be shown at the end of an arc). You will be kept up to date on how every character, including other main characters, perceives the character currently being controlled. How you treat everyone in certain outcomes will determine potential future outcomes, so be careful with how you treat everyone. You could even mess up an outcome that's several arcs later with just one mess-up in an early arc, for example!
It will all make sense as you read the story. Just keep an eye out in the end notes and while reading.
Edit: You will notice that the way I display character and relationship information will change since, in the early arcs, I was experimenting with what worked best.

Outcomes
Not all outcomes are built equal. Some outcomes are the direct result of the previous chapter's choices, while others are the result of multiple previous choices, even as far as several chapters or arcs ago. Some outcomes are also affected by a combination of multiple choices made at different times. Every choice will matter, so use your current knowledge of the world to attempt to make the right decisions. Remember, there is no truly correct decision. Some outcomes are just unwinnable, and it's just damage control (An example of this is picking one character to die instead of another). Character relationships and life statuses can also affect outcomes that otherwise would have gone differently. (An example of this is someone being alive could affect how an outcome goes just from their existence alone as they could do something such as save someone or even be the cause of someone's death. Another example is a character could do something different if they hate you compared to if they like you).
