Suddenly, the tranquility shattered.
Bang!
A signal flare lit up the evening sky, its fiery glow casting flickering shadows across the trees. Hirito instinctively turned toward it, his senses sharpening.
"Captain!" a nearby Uchiha clan member shouted, running toward Hatoshi. "The flare came from the area under our jurisdiction!"
Hatoshi's expression hardened. He turned to Hirito, his tone commanding but calm. "Go home, Hirito. I'll handle this."
"Yes, Father," Hirito replied with a respectful nod. But as Hatoshi turned and disappeared into the forest with a flicker of the Body Flicker Jutsu, Hirito's mind had already made a decision.
Hirito's POV
He told me to go home, but I can't ignore this.
I controlled my breathing, slowing it until it was nearly imperceptible. Though I couldn't channel qi in this world, the breathing techniques I had mastered in Murim were rooted in universal principles. Yin practitioners in my past life used similar methods to mask their presence, relying on the soul's subtlety rather than brute force.
I followed my father's trail and moved faster than him, careful to stay out of sight. The dense forest around Konoha's perimeter provided plenty of cover. As I moved, I kept my chakra suppressed, blending into the shadows like a ghost.
A Few Minutes Earlier
Deep in the forest outside Konoha's barrier, a group of Hidden Cloud Village ninjas darted between the trees. Their movements were swift and deliberate, their dark clothing blending into the gloom. At the center of the group was a tall, dark-skinned ninja with a commanding presence. His sharp eyes scanned the surroundings, his demeanor exuding caution and authority.
"Good," he said, his voice calm but firm. "We're close to the barrier. The information we've gathered this time is vital. Stay alert."
"Yes, Lord Ikazuchi!" one of the ninjas replied. "This intel on Tsunade Senju's hemophobia is priceless. If we can deliver this to Raikage-sama, it could give us a significant advantage in any future war. The loss of a Kage-level medical ninja would cripple Konoha."
Ikazuchi nodded, his face grim. "This mission is worth our lives if it means tilting the balance in our favor. We cannot fail."
The ninjas pressed forward, their movements efficient and silent. But as they approached the barrier, an ominous presence revealed itself.
Scarlet eyes, glowing like embers in the dark, appeared around them. The Hidden Cloud ninjas froze, their heads snapping toward the intruders.
"Damn it!" one of them hissed. "It's the Uchiha!"
The forest seemed to come alive with motion as several Uchiha guards emerged from the shadows. The Sharingan gleamed in their eyes, their gazes cold and predatory.
"None of you will leave here alive," one of the Uchiha declared, his voice low and resolute.
Ikazuchi's expression darkened. "Everyone, buy time!" he barked. "The Raikage must receive this information. Hold the Uchiha back at all costs!"
The Hidden Cloud ninjas didn't hesitate. Lightning crackled through the air as they activated their signature Lightning Release techniques. The forest erupted into chaos, flashes of blue and red light illuminating the night.
Hirito's POV
I crouched low in the underbrush, watching the scene unfold. My heart raced as I observed the deadly clash of jutsu and blades. The Hidden Cloud ninjas fought with reckless abandon, their determination evident in every strike. The Uchiha, however, moved with precision and efficiency, their Sharingan giving them the edge in this deadly dance.
A lone Uchiha guard, his blood-red Sharingan spinning, stepped forward to confront Ikazuchi directly. "You won't escape," the guard growled. "Not with that information."
Ikazuchi's eyes narrowed. "You think the Sharingan makes you invincible? Let me show you the power of the Kumo's techniques!"
Lightning crackled around him as he activated the Lightning Armor, a layer of chakra-infused electricity that shielded him and enhanced his speed and strength. In an instant, he was upon the Uchiha guard, his movements a blur.
Bang!
The ground beneath them shattered as their clash sent shockwaves through the forest. Hirito's hands clenched into fists as he watched the Uchiha guard struggle against the ferocious power of the Lightning Armor.
The Uchiha guard, identified as Rishiki, gritted his teeth as he held his ground. "You're strong," he admitted, his Sharingan analyzing every move. "But strength alone won't save you."
Rishiki released a flare into the sky, signaling for reinforcements. His voice was cold as he declared, "None of you will escape. I bet my name, Uchiha Rishiki, on it!"
Ikazuchi's face twisted into a smirk. "Your name? Let's see if it holds up against the Kumo's techniques!" He charged forward, the ground cracking beneath his feet as he aimed a devastating punch.
From my vantage point, I could feel the raw power radiating from the battlefield. The intensity of their techniques was on a level I had yet to reach in this world, and it made my chest tighten with anticipation.
The Uchiha... they're even stronger than I expected. I can't afford to make careless mistakes. If I have to control them in the future I must have absolute power over them.
I shifted in the shadows, ensuring my presence remained undetected. For now, I could only watch and learn before my father arrive as I have no patriotism for this so called village and if there is even casuality in any side I don't mind as long they are not my father and mother from this life.
