Izuna didn't even turn to look at him. Instead,he continued to stare at the retreating Senju forces and coldly replied, "Yanhuo, while your strength has improved, why hasn't your brain kept up?"

"Uh?!" Yanhuo was taken aback by the sudden reprimand.

"Don't chase after retreating bandits, you idiot!"

At that moment, Uchiha Zhan also appeared. After hearing Izuna's response, he scolded Yanhuo as well. Then, with a more respectful tone, he addressed Izuna.

Upon their return to the Uchiha camp, Izuna immediately ordered the clan's most valuable treasures to be prepared as a gift for Hyuga Tenzō's birthday banquet. Winning over the Hyuga Clan could prove critical in the ongoing struggle for power.

While Izuna felt something strange about the timing and nature of the banquet, he knew it was an opportunity he couldn't ignore.

The room fell silent as the clan members realized their mistake.

"Prepare a generous gift for the Hyuga Tenzō's birthday banquet. I will personally attend." Hashirama paused before adding, "And listen carefully—no one is to engage the Uchiha until I return."

Though anger simmered within him, Hashirama had no intention of derailing their long-term strategy for the sake of vengeance. The Hyuga Clan's decision could tip the scales, and attending the banquet was paramount.

The journey to the Hyuga territory took longer than usual. Without advanced storage scrolls for transporting goods, the Uchiha clan relied on large carriages laden with treasures.

The gifts included onyx jade, gold coins, amulets, two A-rank ninjutsu scrolls, and several lower-ranked ones—an impressive display of wealth and goodwill.

As Izuna sat in one of the carriages, his thoughts wandered.

"I suppose this must have been Hyuga's peak as a clan," he mused. "To have both the Uchiha and Senju vying for your favor... What a position to be in."

His mind briefly flitted to Hiashi Hyuga's infamous claim: "The Hyuga Clan is the strongest in Konoha." Perhaps this banquet, at a time when both Uchiha and Senju still stood tall, was the root of that belief.

Izuna's entourage included Uchiha Yanhuo, acting as his deputy, two other jōnin, and several chūnin. Meanwhile, Uchiha Zhan stayed behind to defend Baili Stone City, confident that the Senju would not launch another attack so soon after Tobirama's injury.

"Deputy Chief," Yanhuo spoke as he walked alongside the carriage. "Since Hyuga has invited so many clans, should we use this opportunity to win over others as well?"

Izuna smirked and leaned out of the window. "Our goal is to end the Warring States Period. Any clan that isn't Uchiha is a potential enemy. Why waste time trying to win them over?"

Yanhuo faltered at the blunt response but quickly lowered his head. "You're right, Deputy Chief. My apologies for suggesting otherwise."

Izuna leaned back with a faint chuckle. "It's fine. Just remember—this banquet isn't just a celebration. It's a battlefield of its own."
