Inside the tent, Yugito lay sprawled on a mat, her expression one of utter disbelief and resignation. Her eyes were fixed on Toshiro, or more precisely, on the hand he had placed on her lower abdomen.

Toshiro's left hand pressed firmly against Yugito's abdomen while his right hand moved rapidly through a series of seals. Beside him, a large scroll lay unfurled.

"Seal: Amanogawa," he muttered as he completed the sequence.

With a low grunt, Toshiro pushed his palm deeper into Yugito's abdomen. It was as though his entire arm was sinking into her body. Then, as if gripping something heavy, he exhaled sharply and began to pull it out.

A blue-black chakra, flickering as if engulfed in flames, was pulled out by Toshiro and then sealed into the scroll beside him with the Amanogawa Seal.

Yugito lay collapsed on the ground, drenched in sweat, her body utterly exhausted as if she had just escaped death. She could barely move, every fiber of her protesting against any king of movement.

It felt as though Toshiro had reached into her very core, grasping her heart and yanking it out along with her internal organs.

"You... you... how dare you steal... the Two-Tails' chakra!" she stammered, her voice trembling. As she watched Toshiro seal away the chakra, disbelief and shock filled her eyes.

"Whoa, whoa... No need to get so worked up!"

"It's just a little chakra, less than one-twentieth of the Two-Tails' total. Even the two-tails doesn't mind, so why are you getting so upset?"

And seriously... What's with that look on your face?

Anyone watching might think I did something way worse to you!

Casually tucking the scroll away, Toshiro felt quite pleased with himself. Not only had he completed his mission on the front lines, but he'd also achieved another important goal—definitely something worth celebrating.

Though the amount of chakra he'd extracted wasn't huge, only a small fraction of the Two-Tails' power, it was more than enough to carry out his plan.

With this, Toshiro now had the chakra of two tailed beasts in his possession, bringing him one small step closer to realizing his plan.

The first chakra he obtained had come from the Nine-Tails during its last rampage—a feat that had cost him significant effort.

But why gather tailed beast chakra?

The answer was simple: to grow stronger.

The Two-Tails and the Nine-Tails were just the beginning. The remaining seven tailed beasts were now his targets, and in the coming days, he planned to collect each of their chakras one by one.

Once he had them all, he would begin the ultimate experiment—combining the chakras of the nine tailed beasts to craft Ten-Tails chakra.

He intended to test whether it was possible to evolve a new Rinnegan—or perhaps even a Rinnegan with tomoe—without relying on the chakras of Indra and Asura.

His reasoning suggested that this might be entirely feasible.

The so-called Rinnegan, after all, was originally the eye of the Ten Tails. The Uchiha clan had inherited this very eye, or rather, the Ten Tails' chakra. Similarly, the Senju clan had inherited the Ten Tails' body, which embodied the power of the Divine Tree. It was initially created to absorb the planet's natural energy, and the Senju had merely inherited this trait.

Their bodies could unconsciously begin to absorb the natural energy from the environment, gradually enhancing their own attributes. The First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, was a prime example of this.

He had reached a level where he didn't even require formal instruction—he naturally learned the art of Sage Mode.

As for the Uchiha, they inherited the power of the Ten Tails' eyes, or more specifically, the power of the Ten Tails' chakra.

This ability was one of the reasons why the Uchiha could master most ninjutsu with such ease.

Contrary to popular belief, the Uchiha and Senju didn't inherit their abilities from the bloodline of the Otsutsuki clan. Instead, the true source of their power came from the Ten Tails.

One of the proofs is that, White Zetsus were created even prior to Madara stealing Hashirama cells to battle Otsutsuki that could invade in the future by the Black Zetsu.

Of course, after so many generations, their bloodlines have thinned considerably. This is one reason why the Uchiha require cells from Hashirama Senju when they awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan so as to not go blind.

As for the notions of Asura, Indra, or even their ancestors like the Sage of Six Paths and Kaguya, he intended to bypass them entirely and trace his power directly to its source.

The Nine Tailed Beasts, after all, are fragments of the Ten Tails' chakra. By collecting all of their chakra, it might indeed be possible to awaken the Rinnegan.

To ensure the success of this plan, he even devised a backup strategy.

If he couldn't gather all the chakras from the Nine Tailed Beasts, he planned to use the Edo Tensei to draw power from those who had already died.

Even though these individuals are deceased, traces of the tailed beasts' chakra still linger within them. In a worst-case scenario, he would explore this method.

He didn't ask Orochimaru to teach him the Edo Tensei just to toy with the dead. His aim was far more ambitious.

When the time came, after collecting the Ten Tails' chakra, White Zetsu cells, the Mangekyō Sharingan, and mastering Sage Mode, he believed that awakening the Rinnegan was well within his grasp.

Becoming a true Sage and entering Sage Mode at will, might not be impossible.

"Now, you stay here. If you don't behave, don't expect me to show any mercy to you!"

As Toshiro felt the lingering warmth on his hands and glanced at Yugito's beautiful face, he couldn't help but acknowledge that the Cloud Village did indeed have its beauties.

"Get out!"

Yugito, with a dark expression, silently straightened her clothes, her voice icy.

She wasn't in the mood to deal with this guy any longer.

"Two-tails... Two-tails?"

With no response from the tailed beast, Yugito felt a wave of despair wash over her.

"What did you do to it? And what happened to the Iron Seal?"

She couldn't believe it—her connection with the tailed beast had gone silent, and it seemed as if her seal had been tampered with by this man.

"Nothing much... Just put that big cat to sleep for a few days. Now, you wouldn't have the luxury of throwing a tantrum at me here."

Toshiro shrugged, his tone nonchalant. He might have indulged her till now, but otherwise, he would have shown this girl what it truly means to be a prisoner.

Whew!

Upon hearing that the Two-Tails was merely sleeping, Yugito finally felt a sense of relief. If something had happened to it, she would have been in serious trouble.

Ignoring Toshiro beside her, Yugito closed her eyes and began to slowly assess the state of her body.

The more she sensed, the grimmer her expression became. This bastard... The seal is in such a weakened state that if the beast wakes up, it could easily break free from the Iron Armor Seal.

Glancing at the slumbering beast within her, Yugito shot a fierce glare at Toshiro—this was all his doing.

"Remember, don't even think about escaping. If you try to run and the beast suddenly awakens, the consequences will be severe. I don't need to spell it out for you!"

Toshiro couldn't help himself; when he was fighting the Two-Tails, he got so caught up in the excitement that he momentarily forgot his primary objective, and now he had to break the seal to extract its chakra.

After saying this, Toshiro paid no mind to Yugito's displeased expression. He turned and walked out of the tent—he had no interest in staying near the girl. He had been busy all day, fought hard, and then had to reseal the Two-Tails' chakra. Now, he just wanted to grab something to eat and take care of his stomach.

"What are you two staring at?"

As he exited the tent and noticed the strange looks from the two Konoha ninjas that Shikaku had sent to guard the tent, Toshiro was perplexed.

What's with these two... Why are they looking at me like that?
