Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 72: Raiknife

The first ninja fell, his throat sliced open by the *Raiknife*. The second didn't have time to comprehend what was happening before Shikai eliminated him with a precise strike to the chest.

One of the enemies cried out:

"We're under attack! Konoha ninja!"

But before they could regroup, Shikai unleashed his *DarkRay*, disappearing in a trail of light and reappearing behind the third enemy, whom he neutralized with a swift blow.

In a matter of seconds, only two adversaries remained standing, visibly terrified.

One of them tried to flee, but Shikai used his nara technique to immobilize him and then employed the Hiraishin to appear before him.

"You're not going anywhere," he said coldly, before cutting off his head.

The last ninja, realizing he had no chance, attempted to take Shisui hostage. He placed a kunai under the Uchiha's throat and shouted:

"Come any closer, and I'll kill him!"

'Are they crazy? Taking Shisui hostage is a bad joke.'

Shikai showed no emotion. As he exited sage mode, he said:

"Shisui, stop clowning around. Let's go."

"Hehe, still arrogant as ever, I see."

Before the ninja could react, he felt his vision weaken. The kunai he held was already embedded in his own throat.

...

Shikai stepped forward, standing in front of Shisui, who stared at him with an impressed look despite his injuries.

"I knew you'd come," Shisui said with a slight smile.

Shikai began to untie his bonds.

"Hiruzen sent me. But you're in a bad state. Can you walk?"

Shisui nodded.

"Yes, but I'm exhausted. Those guys were tougher than expected. Thanks, Shikai."

Shikai helped him up and supported him.

"Don't thank me. It was a mission. And honestly, I think the old man just wanted to see what I was capable of."

Shisui laughed despite the pain.

"Well, I think you've exceeded all expectations. Those guys didn't even have a chance to understand what hit them."

Shikai remained silent, his expression impassive.

"And I think you could easily handle them yourself."

"Ha ha, not wrong."

...

The journey back to Konoha was swift thanks to Shikai's incredible speed.

Hiruzen awaited him, a look of satisfaction in his eyes.

"—So, Shisui is safe?"

Shikai nodded.

"—Yes. The enemies have been eliminated."

Hiruzen smiled slightly.

"—Excellent work. As I thought, you live up to Jiraiya's praises."

...

Hiruzen Sarutobi, comfortably seated in his office, took puffs of his pipe as usual, his gaze lost in the smoke curls. Before him, Shikai stood tall, his cold and calculating expression revealing little of his thoughts.

"Shikai," Hiruzen began, his eyes narrowed, "a new mission. This time, the target is of utmost importance. The daimyo of the Fire Country."

Shikai remained silent, but a strange glint crossed his eyes.

'I see. He's trying to consolidate his power.'

"Understood."

Hiruzen sketched a smile.

"The daimyo, with his titles and power, acts not in the interest of the people. His policies are corrupt and only serve his own selfish desires.

He is incapable of governing with wisdom and justice. His actions have led to an unprecedented economic crisis, leaving many citizens in poverty and despair. The taxes he imposes are excessive and unfair, stifling small businesses and already vulnerable families. You know, Shikai, even as a ninja, caring for the lives of the common people is just as important. That's why this is not the will of the leaf but of the fire for the Fire Country. I hope you understand?"

Hiruzen paused, seeing that Shikai had not reacted. He wasn't sure if Shikai suspected him or if the murders had already hardened him to that extent.

"Furthermore, his madness extends to foreign policy. His impulsive decisions have isolated our country on the international stage, making us vulnerable to external threats. He has neglected our traditional alliances and put our national security at risk."

'It's you who ask me to weaken others, and now you accuse this good-for-nothing daimyo who only profits from life?' Shikai thought, but he slowly nodded.

"Consider it done."

What was important at the moment was that Hiruzen saw him as someone very important who could affect his plans. That was the reason he didn't hesitate to manipulate him.

The old Hokage furrowed his eyebrows slightly but acquiesced.

"Well, I'd like to have a conversation with you upon your return."

Shikai turned on his heels without another word, disappearing in a flash of electricity.

...

Indeed, the daimyo was nothing but an arrogant good-for-nothing. Besides, it didn't bother Shikai to kill him. In the world he wanted to build, he didn't want dogs giving orders. But with hidden villages responsible for themselves and their respective countries. In this world, there were still people who had no idea what chakra or a ninja was and potentially untapped talents.

The daimyo of the Fire Country was in the midst of a meeting with his advisors in his opulent palace. The sun shone high in the sky, and the atmosphere seemed peaceful, despite the growing political tension between the provinces. He sipped his wine calmly, slightly drunk, enjoying the good morning. He didn't pay any attention to the problem the advisors were discussing in an attempt to find a solution.

Suddenly, the guards were frozen, unable to move, as if paralyzed by an invisible force. Before anyone could react, a black-violet flash tore through the room at an unimaginable speed, reaching the daimyo, and then, as if the light were reflected, the lightning also headed toward each advisor, and they collapsed, dead on the spot.
