Naruto The Thunder Calamity

Chapter 243: Chapter 243: Raijin Fights Black Zetsu, Sunagakure Falls

'A' and Dou froze, looking at each other in surprise. The next moment, both of them dashed toward the Land of Rivers, followed by over a hundred ninjas.

Does it really matter if they can cause trouble for Konohagakure?

Actually, it does matter a lot. What these people wanted most was to make Konohagakure suffer heavy losses because of them.

But when compared to supplies...

Supplies were still more important.

They knew very well that if they tried to face Konohagakure head-on with their current strength, they'd probably be wiped out. Only with enough supplies could they gather their strength for a future strike, hopefully delivering a fatal blow to Konohagakure when the time came.

...

When Jiraiya arrived in the Land of Rivers, he waited for three full days but didn't get any word from Sunagakure. Finally, unable to control his frustration, he tossed the Flying Thunder God Kunai.

"Alright, you guys can go back now. I'll handle it here."

Raijin patted Jiraiya on the shoulder, then transformed into lightning and sped off toward Sunagakure Village.

No matter what happened with Sunagakure, if the supplies weren't delivered on time, it was their problem.

...

"I didn't expect Uchiha Raijin to show up."

In a cave, Black Zetsu sat before Suisei, speaking softly.

"Yeah, who would have thought Orochimaru and Jiraiya would have Uchiha Raijin's Flying Thunder God Kunai?"

Suisei chuckled bitterly and shook his head. "It's really something. Team Seven has such good bonds, huh?"

Black Zetsu nodded, agreeing.

"So, how does it feel being defeated by your own little brother?"

After a pause, Black Zetsu smirked.

"Are you here to mock me?"

Suisei looked up, her expression darkening as she glared at Black Zetsu.

"Of course not."

Black Zetsu chuckled lightly and shook his head.

"Sigh... Uchiha Raijin is really the biggest obstacle to the Moon's Eye Plan..."

With a sigh, Black Zetsu seemed resigned.

"What can we do? In the current ninja world, who could be a match for Uchiha Raijin?"

Suisei's eyes flashed with a sharp gleam.

So, he's starting to doubt her? But... what does it matter?

Do you dare to kill me?

"Yes... so for now, I can only place my hope in the Rinnegan. From here on, it all depends on you," Black Zetsu said, nodding at Suisei.

Black Zetsu wasn't questioning Suisei, because from the beginning, Black Zetsu had never trusted her.

After all, Suisei's agreement with the Moon's Eye Plan had been too smooth.

So smooth... there wasn't even the slightest resistance.

Black Zetsu didn't believe that Uchiha Suisei would abandon all her bonds just for Uchiha Madara's so-called noble ideals.

Those bonds were strong enough to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan! Suisei wasn't like Uchiha Madara, whose constant betrayals crushed her spirit and left her completely disillusioned with human nature.

But there was no other choice. If Black Zetsu didn't control Suisei's life or death, this plan would be a complete failure.

Especially since... the Three-Tails and Six-Tails had died...

"I will do my best," Suisei said, chuckling lightly as she spoke to Black Zetsu.

In the next moment, Suisei's expression suddenly became deadly serious.

"Whoever it is, no one can stop the Moon's Eye Plan. This world needs peace."

"Yes... this world needs peace."

Black Zetsu was momentarily taken aback by Suisei's sudden change in demeanor, but quickly smiled and agreed.

"Alright, I'll go prepare."

Watching Suisei disappear before him, Black Zetsu's smile slowly faded.

Flying Thunder God and Kamui...

What a perfect combination...

Black Zetsu had watched the entire confrontation between Suisei and Raijin.

How should he put it?

Rather than a clash between peak warriors, it seemed more like a playful game between two people.

But there was nothing he could do. Even though he knew that Raijin and Suisei had made contact and were now working together to toy with him, what could he do?

Did he have any way to stop them?

Not at all.

The death of the Three-Tails and Six-Tails had created a strange balance between him, Madara, and Konohagakure.

This balance made Black Zetsu feel incredibly frustrated and helpless.

Could it be that it's truly the bloodline of his mother?

Every now and then, geniuses who could shake the entire ninja world appear.

This should be a good thing, because in a way, the Senju, Uchiha, and Black Zetsu are blood-related brothers.

But...

They're ungrateful!

Land of Wind, Sunagakure Village.

Raijin slowly appeared at the entrance of Sunagakure Village.

"Could you please inform the Third Kazekage that Uchiha Raijin from Konohagakure wishes to meet with him?"

Raijin spoke to the two guards at the village gate.

"Understood... please wait here," one of the guards said after seeing Raijin. Even though they were in their own village, they couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

After saying this, they hurried off toward the village.

Raijin stood silently with his hands behind his back, waiting for the messenger to return, staring calmly at the remaining guard.

Sometimes, Raijin couldn't help but marvel at the strange twists of fate.

It was supposed to be his battle against Black Zetsu, yet it was Sunagakure that ended up suffering the most.

Yes, if there was a loser in this clash between Konohagakure and Black Zetsu, it would most certainly be Sunagakure.

Black Zetsu only lost a few ninjas, and Konohagakure had almost no casualties.

But Sunagakure? Not only did they lose all the ninja escorting the supplies, but the supplies themselves were gone too.

Now, Sunagakure had to face Konohagakure's demands for accountability.

It truly was a situation where Raijin fought Black Zetsu, and Sunagakure paid the price.

"Raijin, what brings you to Sunagakure?"

At that moment, the Third Kazekage appeared in front of Raijin, smiling.

The talented Sunagakure ninja who mastered Magnet Release but was easily suppressed by Raijin was now the Third Kazekage.

"I came to ask why Sunagakure was unable to prepare the supplies properly."

Raijin responded with a light laugh.

"Hmm?"

Kazekage's smile instantly froze, and he looked at Raijin with a suspicious expression.

Raijin raised an eyebrow, looking at Kazekage with confusion.
